Van Stank's Nukehead Sponsored Grow

I talked to Nis a while back about it....I think I was going to give them one more generation before I will sample it. Autos are tougher for me to justify with my set up. If I had two 4x4 tents I could just flower the auto in the veg tent.....but I am not set up for that, so I would have to flower the auto in my photo flower tent under 12/12 which I know wont be optimum....unless I want to pull it out of the flower tent and stick it on my work bench under the big T5 for an additional 6 hours and then move back when its done.....and I am far too lazy for that LOL. Easier to wait for them to work the auto out and then give it a try!!

Right I get that. If you were to get seeds of it in this generation you could always start in cups like you did and just start more than you need. When an auto gets rootbound it triggers flowering from what I understand so you could either flower it out in the cup or ditch it and any that do not start flowering you could grow out and find the best pheno. If you already have an in for the next generation than by all means wait for that.

The Triple OG was def out of my price range. if you got a free pack along with it that is a bonus for sure!

Just cruising thru to check things out :-)

I’m not at all up on anything breeding but I’ll always be open to learning........one day I’d love to attempt it but I have a lot of learning to do before I dive into the deep end of this pool

I’ll be following along here to see some good things happen :-)

Blessed Buds our friend and be well :passitleft:

Well the only reason it was in my price range was because of my dealings in bitcoin. Otherwise I wouldn't have picked it up. Oh and great idea on Nis' strain.....I will keep that in the back of my mind! Thanks brother.

Welcome buddy!! Glad to have you swing by and check out the neighborhood. Dabber tells me you do a pretty decent lotion for pain....I will be searching your journal for that tomorrow.

I am glad your dealings with bitcoin allowed you to get what you wanted. i got a pack of the Mac from Capulator out of his second drop and that is the most expensive pack I have ordered at $250. I told myself I would not spend more than $150 a pack but could not pass up the chance. I hope you are able to get something really special out of your Triple OG :)

Update

Woke up this morning to the snow and wind blowing like crazy. Went downstairs to check the Nukehead seeds and both had sunk. I placed them in damp paper towels inside a zip lock bag. I did not scuff the seeds before I put them in water so I am a bit surprised that they sank that quickly. We are off to a good start. Pics will follow later. For everyone in the North East, stay safe and stay off the roads!

Hope it all works out for you Stank as that's my next Grow also the NukeHead strain. I'll be watching quietly. Good Luck Bro!!

These are going to be beautiful beasts! I can’t express how impressed I am with Cody’s strain, the smell is unrivaled in flower so far!

I have certainly been impressed early on!! Hope mine continues. I have 4 more beans of them to search for a keeper as well. He also sent me 2 Orange Cream regulars, 4 Purple Kush fems and 3 or 4 Skunk fems. The Purple Kush is scheduled for the perpetual lineup. Hopefully that one will be a decent strain as well. Did you ever get an estimated flower time from Cody on the Nukehead?

I have already weighed in on the cost of genetics discussion a few times. This was part of the reason I chose to run Jordan of the Island this run. $3 a seed. I have 6 planted so $18 lol. We should be sharing the dank not making it unaffordable for the average joe. This Blue Bud is gonna turn some heads

Now that said, I have disposable income to a certain extent, and have recently fired up IG...and I follow some pretty sick mad scientist seed companies making some unreal strains. Hard to not be kinda impressed with the straight up fire.

Whats your handle on IG? There are some crazy genetics getting worked right now. I have heard a lot of bad about Jordan of the Island so i always stayed away. I honestly cannot say what it was I had heard but it put me off. I hope you have good luck with your plants. Up until last year I had always bought single fem seeds for the most part. then I started dabbling into Dynasty gear and its been down hill since then :laughtwo: Finding American seed banks and breeders opened up all sorts of doors for me. Mostly it has fueled a seed addiction though :)

Seedling Day 6 Update

Things are kind of holding steady for now. Nukehead #1 is still chasing her big sister. Looks like her next set of leaves are finally about to pop out. Nukehead #2 is chugging along nicely. I started looking for signs of roots hitting the sides of the clear solo cups, but nothing yet. Might see some tomorrow if I am lucky. Tomorrow they will get another watering and it will likely be their last day in the dome. Time for them to take the training wheels off.

Fascinating stuff Yeti. I had always loved gardening....do a pretty good sized outdoor garden every year. But my real passion was when I started growing cannabis. If it wasn't for my back, I could easily give up smoking.......but at this point I don't know that I could give up the growing side of it. And the further I walk this path, the more sure breeding and that strain creation is what really pulls me. Give it a few years and Stank Genetics will be on the menu.

Having never had anything that was known as "straight up fire" I wouldn't be able to weight in on that. I have looked at a few of their strains and some look kind of interesting. A little more Indica dominant strains for my liking. Some of their strains aren't badly priced. I really don't have issues paying up to 10 bucks a seed most of the time. I am not a big fan of having to buy 10 of them though. I think a lot of growers would love to be able to buy single seeds (Fems), 3-packs, and 5-packs instead of having to drop a bill on some beans. I guess from a money making standpoint.....smaller seed packs are the enemy. I mean why let a customer go out the door only handing you a 10 dollar bill when you can make him or her hand you a C note. Of course how many would be buyers of smaller packs walk away and buy something else that isn't quite the same impact on their monthly budget.

lmfao I am fighting the urge to collect seeds. These were 50% off in a store, and it was these or crop king, so I went with these. I live within 500 miles of the climate he has bred for in his outdoor stuff. So just in case I want to plug a few clones outside this summer I can.

Subbed. Man that's a lot of catching up to do for a week.....:reading420magazine:

Hey Pantagruel.....welcome buddy! Glad you found me. Not a whole lot to catch up on really.....lots of chat and banter, but the reality is there are two seedlings growing roots LOL.

I really wish I understood the american breeders lineage as much as I have learned all the older stuff and european stuff. Holy hell some of the names just leave you shaking your head. 3 In The Pink??? I saw someone had a "Puppy Monkey Baby" strain.....and when you looked at the lineage it actually makes sense LOL. Some creative people out there for sure....just from the naming perspective.

And therein lies the magic!

I'm looking hard at that Perfect Sun light. Thanks for the tip brother. :thumb:
