Yeah when I grew it the best I did was a little over an ounce. I forgot who mentioned it to me but they said someone made their own stash of Dark Devil seeds and that that was what they consistently pulled. I have pulled that off of other autos but not the DD.
Canna and Nismo's Devil's Carnival seems to be pretty close to a photo version of it. There are quite a few colorful phenos that I have seen and C&N had one that was as purple as most DDs that I ran. There is the odd auto that comes from the seeds but most I have seen have been photos. I think someone could cross the DD to Star Pupil or something and have some Devil's Pupil going on!
I am yet to get any Exotic gear. All of their Cube crosses looked really nice! I dig the Spirit in the Sky and the Syzzurp as well. The Intergalactic and the Labyrinth look like the best of the Cube crosses.
Healthy young sprouts Van. Nice seed score too....why the remorse? Plant some....that should help. 
My Labs I just finished were the best plants I've grown to date in terms of trich production and so sticky there hard to break up or grind.

The buyers remorse is the price. The Triple OG was way more than I ever said I would allow myself to spend on seeds. But my bitcoin covers the price of it, so thats the only thing that makes it tolerable. I would imagine that their stuff would have to be fire to convince someone to pony up 400 for a pack.
I got the Triple OG, the Trilogy, and Cookies n Cream. I think the Triple OG comes with a free pack of Miami Heat as well if I remember reading correctly. Hopefully they will throw in something else as well.
Some of there strains are very expensive but EG spends time developing some of these strains before release. So you're getting quality genetics.

I talked to Nis a while back about it....I think I was going to give them one more generation before I will sample it. Autos are tougher for me to justify with my set up. If I had two 4x4 tents I could just flower the auto in the veg tent.....but I am not set up for that, so I would have to flower the auto in my photo flower tent under 12/12 which I know wont be optimum....unless I want to pull it out of the flower tent and stick it on my work bench under the big T5 for an additional 6 hours and then move back when its done.....and I am far too lazy for that LOL. Easier to wait for them to work the auto out and then give it a try!!
Yea it would be hard to do with out an additional space set up for 18/6

I have no experience to back this up - but I've read a number a times that you generally get what you pay for with seeds - buy the best genetics you can afford, a few extra $$ per seed is easily made back with an improved yield.
Or quality, one or the other

I would never have spent that money on seeds if it was just for me to smoke.....but with the potential aspect of Stank Genetics, I figured it would be worth the investment into it if I found a good male or female out of the bunch. Plus the other two strains give me access to half of the Cube and half of Starfighter F2. Plus you factor in that OGs generally cross really well with most everything, its tough to go wrong.
I mean think about it now......if you had a half used up pack of "The Cube" sitting in your fridge and you wanted to get into the breeding game, well you would be sitting pretty decent. You know that EG has a safe with a stash of "The Cube" and "Starfighter" seeds in them, just waiting for the right time to sell it for some insane crazy amount.
Actually he sold off all of the original F3 Starfighter (The Cube) for like $600 per 10 pack. He kept what he considered the best male for breeding.

I get that at times....but when you start reading the back stories on some of these strains and how they came to be, they didn't come from some renowned seed bank. So I agree that you get what you pay for to a degree.....but I also think blind luck has a lot to do with it......from the breeding perspective which is what I am approaching this from. Otherwise, if it was just from a medicinal aspect or just smoking some bud to take the edge off, I am perfectly good with a standard seed strain that sells more in my price range of 10 bucks or under. I guess I tend to approach weed like I would wine if I drank it......I could never see spending 100 bucks for a bottle of wine.....ever. Thats generally how I see my weed as well. I work too hard for my money to just sling it around on 40 dollar seeds (which I get.....you can make one seed go a long why via clones etc so it can really go a long way).

yeah thats what he 'says'.....but I have a hard time believing that a breeder didn't keep a secret stash of killer strain. I know I would. I would throw 100 or so in a safe to bring it back when and if the time ever got right. And what better marketing ploy than "these are the last ones ever available". Sorry, guess I am just cynical by nature.
Starfighter was first created by Alien Genetics but was discontinued. EG picked it up and cubed it and the rest is Cannabis history. Lol

Lol me too, very interesting. Twox was doing TrapStar and it's another greasy and sticky Strain.
