Urban Achievers Inner City Seeds of Promise

Thanks DW, really digging the Amnesia, its going strong, no leaf fade at this point and its filling out beautifully. Appreciate the comments about the photos, putting in the effort and glad folks like are digging them. I hope they arent seeming repetetive as I dont notice. I am in awe of this wonderful plant.

There is a reason I am taking so many. Firstly and most importantly the smoke report and review is going to have a photo segment showing the life of the plant. Then I also wanted to enter the creme de la creme contest...still do...and was needing a bunch of decent photos. Then I have a bit of a financial reason, I might be able to make some cash (or barter for stuff) with the right photo.
Make that cash and barter bro. Ur efforts with the pics don't go unnoticed. Trust me.

Hey UA.....been a while since I have been around your neck of the woods. Got all caught up. Your girls are looking good brother. The Green Crack definitely has something going on but I will defer to someone like Bob. I think you will be happy with the Dwarf Star, I like mine but I am upgrading because I want more! I will move the Dwarf Star to the smaller tent I think. Your girls look great brother. Whatever you are doing, its working man! Oh and a belated Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and yours!

You Sir, are too kind, thank you. The only thing I used to take pictures of with my camera were bugs, flowers, plants, and nature or wildlife. Mostly plants and bugs. So I really appreciate all the positivity and encouragement. This place is awesome.

I think I might be able to swing some free seeds if I offer up some decent photos of the result. Not interested in making money per se. I like the idea of giving something and getting something in return. I have, in my liquor cabinet, a bottle of single malt Macallan Amber from a friend of mine, in exchange for a cool photo I blew up for him. I like that kinda business. Gives you a sense of pride money just cant.

Mr. Stank! Yes your presence here has been missed, but it was that time of year, the important thing is that you are back and have a shiny new journal. This will be a great year for us both I am sure. "We have synced cycles" lol and will be flowering/harvesting around the same time. Cant wait to see what kind of forest you make lol.

Yeah that GC is a weird one. It is amazing and dissapointing all at the same time lol. Its good stuff but it might be airy and lacking weight. That DS is gonna be comfort to the mind and soul as well as a powerhouse in my 3 x 3. If I put my current light with the DS, that would be incredible, but I think this blurple COB will be a great veg light too.

Some of the weirdness in a few leaves

Well thanks to you guys I can confirm they were dying for some K. Well except the Amnesia. I suspect the more sativa there was in the hybrid the more they had a bigger demand for K.

I will have to amend the top dressing with some kelp meal. Perhaps I should take a closer look at the bat guano I have and mix the appropriate amount lol. I was putting in 1 teaspoon of it in my ACT. Eyeballin it. Feels.

Since it was watering time, and to me an emergency with no time to brew anything, I ended up feeding them all some of that monster bloom. It has a 0-50-30 npk and I thought we could stop the deterioration immediately.

In fact I had gathered around 1 gallon of snow melt that was dripping, and added 4 or 5 more gallons of RO. Added 1 teaspoon to about 5 or 6 gallons of water and fed them all until there was some pooled water in the trays. I admit I was a bit medicated off the first taste of the Voodoo. Fingers crossed they respond. Either I poisoned them or gave them a burst of life. Bought me time to top dress with some flower support.

Well, I think I had one of those moments, those "aha" moments. I got some fresh Voodoo and Super Kush and of course needed to "inspect it" with my camera. The bud photos above and all the rest of these were taken this morning. Unmedicated and barely caffienated lol. The last few shots I set up I thought I had something.

Ok off to share some photos with Morty.

If you want some easy access K, you should start adding some seabird guano into your ACT schedule...its some really good stuff.
Yeah I had a momentary lapse of judgement. Got too lazy with the lazy mans grow and didnt plan for nutrient flower demands, as i thought the new soil would have it covered. Now recognizing the increased need for P and K I have amended the soil in storage. To over 100litres of soil I added a 1/2 to 3/4 cup of kelp meal, and 1/2 cup of bat guano, and mixed it welll with a few litres of water to get it all started.

As for the current plants, I will top dress next chance I get, with some kelp and phillipine fruit bat guano. I had picked some up and was not using enough in the last few waterings. Looking at the directions I was only using enough for a 1gallon pot lol. I need to use much more. So I am hoping that is the last of the issues we will have with that particular nutrient deficiency.

Awesome nugs Urban.

Cheers.

Nice buds! Take a bow.

Thanks folks, the best part is the concumption of the subject lol, I find it somewhat awesome that this is the last anyone will ever see of those nugs. Like a whisper they vanish into thin air.

Edit: According to the tracking my Dwarf Star will be here monday.
Second edit: Bubbling 3 gallons of tap water with a touch of humic acid to deal with chlorine and tie up the chloramines while I mixed a tea. I have 3 tbsp of phillipine fruit bat guano, 3tbsp of kelp meal, 2tbsp of Alfalfa meal, 1tbsp of EWC, 1/2tsp humic acid, 2tbsp of soil out of bin composting leaves, and instead of molasses I will give them a small taste of pure canadian maple syrup from Quebect as some food. I will bubble this for the next 36 hours. Then I will add another 2 gallons of RO to dilute it a bit.

Hopefully the one time feed with monster bloom stopped any deterioration and this tea will give them a bit more to get back on the flower track.

Glad you’re getting a handle on it Urb. I’m still a little nervous about giving recommendations since I’m still pretty new to this stuff too and don’t know soil whatsoever.

i hear ya, I lean on folks with more than 1/2 grow like me to spot things I dont see yet. It helped, as I think we have stopped the deterioration of the plants. Looking good this morning. Better at least. I think they are starting to thicken up.

Awesome bud pics Urban! Thanks for the tips on the organic feed. I've got a few of those supplements lying around. I do use bottled Cal mag but I love the idea of an mostly organic grow. Yours sure look like they taste amazing!
thanks bud, just trying to follow the footsteps of others, first grow almost completed. Still a few weeks away I suspect.

Only snapped one pic this morning. Day shift means I am up early and out the door quickly. Fed them a flowering specific aerated compost tea with lots of kelp and bat guano. Should help meet their flowering needs.

Hey there Urb... a few dead leaves... don't overthink it. Let em fall off and move on. Doing a high P and high N tea (guano + Alfalfa) the ACT doesn't play well with the microherd. IF I add any guano I would only do it 1 time and just take a tsp and sprinkle in the top of the soil. Then as you water in, it will slowly incorporate without much damage to the micro-organisms. Yeah a few leaves turning brown... don't sweat it. Happens to me all the time and usually a lot more than a few leaves. If you let them go, they should turn yellow - losing all their chlorophyll and eventually drying up and falling off. Completely normal.

Sometimes less is more... for ACT down the stretch just EWC + kelp meal and sugar if you want to - I add in 1 tbs of malted barley and forgo the BSM. Thats it... You're not going to make huge changes at this stage. Your plants look pretty good. Sometimes airy flowers is due to too much N in the soil in early flower - plants are growing leaves instead of flowers but I think that Green Crack looks pretty wild... gonna be a small yield but what you get is going to be REAL good. That looks like genetics. Actually there's no leaves.... that's pretty cool looking. Nothing but calyx... whats not to like! Hardly any plant material. THC should be higher than a kite!

GL with the Pic of the Month... Green Crack is looking very picturesque right now! I entered a pic yesterday.

Absolutely gorgeous Urban. Don't stop whatever your doing it's working!!
Thanks J, been a pretty laid back grow, thanks to 420 and folks here assisting. Shouldnt be long now.

Seconding Jgrow, beautiful shot Urb, gorgeous colour.
thanks DW, a bit lucky with that one, it was just a quick snap with the iphone. She sure is pretty in person. Reminds me of Sideshow Bob. I want to cut out the face of Sideshow bob and put it on the pot once she is done. She flops all directions and will make a nice wig.

Great pic, she has lots of frost...️
thank you ECG, the frost sparkles in the light

thanks Bob, hope I didnt mess it up to bad but I think I still didnt make the tea full strength so I might be ok. We will see. The Green Crack looked like they were showing signs of K deficiency so I basically panicked lol. The Amnesia OG is the happiest of them all.

I think you have a very tough photo to beat, a very nice shot, and excellent cropping.

Nice light brother. I think you will be happy with it!!
I think so too VS, I have plenty of space for both lights and the added heat will actually bring temps up to a more ideal range. Currently sitting at around 69 F with RH in the 40's. The carbon filter and fan are going 24/7 now to appease the wife.

Nice! Don't ya love that new panel smell? It's even better when you get a new light mid-flower!
Yeah I will get at least a week to two weeks out if this light before one of the strains finishes up. I know for a fact that next round is gonna be twice the size with these two lights and some broken in soil.

I will be setting up the new light early in the morning. I have plans for another major photo update in 3 more days. Looking forward to seeing a few days growth with the Dwarf Star and Fusion Pro combined. I know for sure they have gotten frostier.

Frosty the achiever over here! Nice. Looking forward to the update Urb! Happy Friday buddy .
