update

temps 73f day 70 night
ph 6.3 ppms 85

humidity has been low (40) so i was using a cheap cool vapor humidifer and runnig temps about 78f day. i didnt get the root plugs transplanted deep enough cause the Skywalke plug got really dry. so i retransplanted that one deeper. HGK#1 leaves are cupping . i picked up a better humidifer, dropped res temps to 72f and air temps to 73f to reverse the stress. i'm also running the sprayers constant for now.

Thanks for stopping by

looking just awesome ronnie!!!

i love your setup :cheesygrinsmiley: and you have PLENTY of space!.. heaps of room to grow into :thumb: this will be another grow i can take notes from regarding LED grow systems- looking forward to watching this from start to finish :thumb:

sorry to see your HGK#3 didnt make it! and i know the feeling of having to put in seedlings days-week+ behind the leading pack.. ive been happy with my HGK's but tbh i dont think i will go with them again after this.. outdoors i would but indoors im not getting that tight internodal development as i am with the other strains.. can't wait to smoke it though!! loL

take care ronnie, and wish you all the best with this grow /|\

Thanks Alk, HGK#3 is still cupping , yestarday i found a couple single strains of spider webbing on HGK#3 and on the light blocker for that unit. I sprayed all the seedlings with "no mite" organic mite spray and sprinkled Diatomaceous Earth on the Coco tek covers and around the units themselves. Mrs Sour kush has popped and appears to be on her way up. I added 60ml HEAVY 16 base nutes , which brought my ppms up to 150. ph is stable at 6.3. dropped res temps alittle bit again today to 70f. the new humidifer seems to be doing a better job of raising my humidity , i'm shooting for between 60-70.

yeah the HOLY GRAIL KUSH probably be a one timer for me too, but i had to try her out. the OG#18 from my last grow is truely awesome. the smell , taste , and strength has to be a 9 out 10 Iho. and i ended up with about 100 feminized seeds from that grow so i might do all OG#18 grow again soon.

thanks for stopping by brother

Hey Ronnie

Wow! It's been 10 days since I came by. Sorry about that.

Nice to see the youngins in their new home. I bet they like it. :MoreNutes:

At first I wondered why you had your res so hot, then I realized you had seedlings in there. :blalol:

hey Hiker , thanks for stopping by. i also germinated the last two seeds in the system. my res temps are between 66-68f now.

update

well the two HGK'S are still cupping their leaves and worse now so last night i did a complete res change and added only 30ml Orca and 55ml of roots excellorater . i added more water to the system to bring water levels in the units closer to the net cups. I had a root plug that dried out a bit. when i did my res change i checked my filter and it was plugged with snot. i believe it was from the prime so i guess thats out of the line up.

well even though they are cupping they are showing new growth so thats a good sign. I wanted to try sterile from the start but the plants look like they are having root issues so i loaded in the benefical army. I will go back to zone as soon as i feel comfortable on root health.

Hey Ronnie, hope the DE and the no mite takes care of it or maybe it was a real spider web??LOL wishful thinking. I think with you getting rid of the issue right now you'll do fine. Went to the local hydro shop, heck the ONLY hydro shop lol and priced some rockwool croutons which was actually a lil more than the Advanced #4 I am using. I really want to try a airpot/cube run like The Cap'n is but since I had to put down a 60% Down payment on the 3 Cu FT Bales of the #4 soiless mix (for those who dont know it's a soiless mix from Sunshine and its the one with mycos) theres just no money for that yet. We did get the papers signed for the house today so thats a good thing but the pocketbook is feather weight now.
I'll be busy for the next few days trimming and getting stuff cleaned up so we can pack up in a few weeks but I wil check back and see how your doing and how the youngen's are doing in their new home.

Hey Ronnie,

I'm just checking in on your grow. I can't wait to see these things really take off. In a couple weeks you should set up a tripod and do a time lapse photo series, because these things are going to go like wild in there.

>>>I wanted to try sterile from the start but the plants look like they are having root issues so i loaded in the benefical army.

I have done more than one comparison between sterile (zone) and beneficial environments. It is no contest, beneficial always outgrows the sterile. In one of the experiments, I started from seedling. This is where it made the most difference. So I think you are going in the right direction. I'm still using the "great white", but when it's gone I'm going to move to the orca. I hear it's better than great white, at least in hydro anyway. And +1 on the roots excelurator... awesome stuff. If you can keep your water near 70, I would go with the bb all the way through. Do you ever use heisenberg's tea?

Yes that is diatomaceous earth. Found some single strand webs on the HGK girls, even followed the web down from one of my lights so I sprinkled DE around the units and on the coco tek covers, the HGK girls got a neem bath also.

Hey cap'n , last grow I used Benny's from the beginning to right before switching to flower , then zone to harvest and that worked out very well. I wanted to see how sterile from the start would go, but since I see signs of trouble it's time to go with what I know. I will be going back to zone as soon as the roots are large and in charge. Benny's don't do well with bloom nutes and they do cause bio films and ph changes so I won't go with them all the way. I have a chiller so my res temps stay between 66-68f all the time. My second grow I had root problems after using go gnats (which kills Benny's . I got heisenbergs recipe for breeding microbes from another site and I have to say it helped a lot . :)

hey s1ing, happy to hear about the new house:yahoo: glad your going to get to move after all. i used sunshine#4 with mycros when i used to grow in soil. i dont like rockwool though has a tendency to get ph imbalances imo. hydroton is my perferred medium, lots of oxygen and totally inert. hopefully next time you swing in things will be going better.:)

Somewhere maybe the big auction site there was a digital camera that was for time lapse pictures of growing and I think it was under 100 bucks. Then again you get what you pay for lol. Time Lapse of his System and setup would be boss
