ive read about that flowering techinque a few times now on the net, not something ive put into practive yet as i have to many plants growing at the same time,
their was also another i read creates good results and that was during the last couple of weeks of flower you give the plant more than 12 hours of light so 14 for example but then keep the 12 hour dark period as 12 hours, this is suppose to produce more weight at harvest, again not something i have tried or tested but will do at some point in the future.
with the clone mate just make sure the soil its in is just slightly moist, if its to wet they wont root, you need oxygen at root level so make sure the pot your planting the clone in has drain holes at the bottom to allow some movement of air through the medium.
if the soil is to wet then roots wont grow, just make sure its very slightly moist or use it strait out the compost bag and dont add any water, then when you planted the clone just mist it once or twice a day but dont water the soil, you wont water the soil until the roots have grown, the roots need to search for water so they need the soil just slightly moist to encourage them to grow,
get that right and you will have no problems rooting, as long as the dome is keeping humidity high then your good to do,
the dome dont need to totally mist up either so as long as you see some mosting on a part of the dome then the humidity is high enough,
i take the dome off mine twice a day for 1 to 2min max, i let the clone breath and this lets the soil breath, then before i put the dome on i give the clone a very gentle mist with water then place the dome back on, dont soak the clone or the soil as it will cause you problems, some clones root in 7 days and some can take a couple of weeks,
if the fan leaves on the clone are big then cut the blades in half as this slows down the moisture the plant loses and will keep the clone alive,
once you got one clone to grow you wont have any problems doing it again in the future, ive seen many growers on here fail at cloning and id have to say its down to the soil been to wet, you dont want it bone dry so dont get me wrong, but you just want it very slightly moist, so if the soil was dry you would only water it with 1 table spoon of water then nothing else at all until the clone has rooted,
fingers crossed you will get it rooted this time, once you do you wont have any problems taking clones, i lost lots at first but then realised the soil was to wet and roots wasnt encouraged to grow,
