Ill Be giving this little girl (MollyMcfly) the double flux waffle!

@Light Addict,
plants look great mate, any chance you can point me towards so info on that budding idea a few pages back where you pinch the bud off and it produces more, its something ive not come across but got plants in flower i can try it on, or post a guide here so i can have a read and i can then run tests and see how it compares to buds not treated to this method,

Hey Donpaul no worries I'll do my best to explain, Firstly I was told this technique by a commercial grower of sorts. He explained to take a number of hairs and leaf tips off end of the buds. This apparently gives the bud the idea it has hit a barrier and sends it backbuilding. He told me to take 3 white hairs and 2 green off the very point of the bud.
Now I tried doing this very delicate option and found it to be crap! too fiddly and no real results. So I changed it to a very quick simple technique (well its not even that really lol)
Firstly I'm not exactly sure of when in the time frame to do it, but I wait till buds have formed established colas. Then using my trimming scissors I simply snip the very most top point of the bud. Taking say 5 pistols and a couple of the green tips that will become leaves. You might now, not always, see a tiny dark point meaning you snipped the very end of the limb. just like topping really but on a minute scale.
That's it really, I'll post everything all pics and info when I get to the point of doing it again with Gert! hope this helps!

That baby there looks perfect bc1
Did the deformaties of the other young lady grow out? I think she was looking good on the last pick I seen,
Reading back.... Those kind of yields are what I'm talking about. Looking at your girl it's easy to see how u achieve it.
I somehow think I would not be able to mimick it though. I think the way uv trained her must take some practice. It's a bloody art form.
For u to encourage the low side branching to shoot up u "super cropped" the fan leaf. And it looked to work very well.
You've got the perfect grow for this country.

One plant with enormous yield potential n not the world of veg time.
I may need to reconsider my aproach with training and give ur style a run.

cool, thanks for the info, ill see what i can find out.
be interesting to see if this works, just need to find out when its best to do this as to late in flower and the plant wont benefit from it so might be best half way through flower.

let me see what i can find out, ill post some info if i come across any, sent you some reps

I like the rough sketch Light! Are those black dots significant towards anything?

And I had a question about that miniscule 'bud-topping' method you and Paul were discussing. When you've done this in the past, do the calyxes start overproducing at the site of the new top, or does the overall girth of the cola widen with very little new growth from where you topped?

its a good method to use and is not far different from lollypopping, only difference is fluxxing is more main colas where as the lollypop method is one huge bud, so topping at the first node then topping the new shoots produces 4 main cola, as long as all the growth along the side branches is removed and the plant can focus all its energy on the buds at the tops of the branches then it should produce very well,

you will end up with huge buds and it will yiled well, ive not been following a long so not sure how many tops your going for, when i cut my plant numbers down i might give it a try myself, the last lollypop i did produced a single bud the same size as a 2ltr pop bottle, so having 4 or 8 of these should yield well.

its a great idea and hope it works out well,

The waffle will be a vegged monster on the horizontal, ill train the four limbs out across the soil. Also train all the shoots off that branch at a 90 degree angle. I'll be doing this on two levels, from 2 nodes. Once I have a criss cross pattern of the size I want i'll then flower and let every bud site build vertcal
Holy mother of bud. Genius. I'm in. I'll grow my Blue Cheese or Tut like this.
From this day forward, I'm a Mother Fluxer.
Brothers

mother fluxer, now that sounds good to me, lol

cant wait to see how this turns out, the ML ive seen in the past was usualy 4 or 8 tops and they was lollypopped all along the part that was growing sideways then the ends of the branches where left to grow up and become the main colas, so becaue the plant is split evenly all the nutrients are fed evenly across the plant and produces 4 or 8 huge colas.

so this will be interesting to follow along and see how it turns out,

Morning all :peace: La, I have a confession to make.....I couldn't sleep last night! I just laid there thinking about your AWESOME ladies :) My missus was getting really peeved because I kept getting up for a smoke lol. Anyway, as you know I'm starting my first grow in the next week or so (once the cuttings are here :) ) and I'm kinda regretting my decision to get 18. In effect, I'm giving each plant 2'x18" of room in my tent (I'm using 19ltr (5 US Galls) pots). Realistically, I won't have the time nor space to nurture and train the "L.A way" but, as sure as hell, I'll be doing it with number 2 grow. You, my friend, are an inspiration :bravo:

Many thanks OZ! your very gracious indeed. I seem to be getting a lot of growers that are here in UK wanting to give my method a go. It just makes sense to me lol, with the bloody laws we have. It seems easier for stealth and for the penalties I might get if caught to maximize yield of one or a few girls only.
You get to really have a relationship with each plant as it were as you spend good quality one on one time with them. Which seems to make getting bigger yields easier.
In the new year I'm going back to my big tent, 6 by 6 foot footprint. I will train maybe 4 or five girls, and fill the tent completely with a blanket of bud! Probably only need four of em if done correctly. Aiming for over 100 colas off each which is quite a manageable target. Not sure of what strains to go for yet, so some research needed!

Oh and Rainstacks, awesome post many thanks!
