Amy. I'm reading your journal where your building the light. Wasn't going to comment till I was done but I can't help but say Bravo! What a sweet job making it in every way including your tech writing skills. Wowza!Hi otter - I’ve been lurking here for months now and did a big catch-up lurk this morning. I’m loving seeing these big plants outside... getting itchy for my summer season. It’s so nice too see some outdoors not caged or anything We have so many nibbling critters in the forest here I have to have everything in a cage of some kind. It’s great to see some living free!
There is lots to negotiate with outside as you are finding out! Having little to no control over the environment is both a blessing and a stress isn’t it!? Esp. when you’re meds are on the line!
I wanted to pick up on a non-growing question you asked a few weeks ago, in case you haven’t solved it yet...
If you want to find content by a certain member only, you can use the search function and input the member’s name to see only content by that person.
You can also narrow a search to within a particular thread - for example, if I wanted to find only when you have mentioned ‘bunnies’ in this thread, I would click/tap the litttle magnifying glass at the top right of the page and where is says “Everywhere”, click/tap that and select “This thread”. Then type ‘bunnies’ in the search box and ‘stoneotter’ in the member box (with out the ‘ ‘) and the search will return only posts by you, in this thread, that contain the word ‘bunnies’ (there wasn’t any ).
There are more things you can do in the advanced search options too, but that ^^^ above is how to search within a thread.
If you want to see more of the search functions and how to use them, the tutorial we wrote on it is here (in the member resources section):
How To Use The Search Function
I hope your getting on top of the bugs and things. Or at least have things in some kind of balance with them. I know a few members have had some success recently using alcohol dilutions to kill bugs dead without harming the plant so if your current methods aren’t working as well as you’d like there’s always that to try.
Looking forward to seeing these finish up nicely for you
Yuk !! I don't like to spray anything on mature buds?Gave the two lovely ladies a spray of defguard for PM. They're doing well but do have some. It's so cloudy and damp this week I wanted to get it on while the fans were damp and let it dry on. Testing a thought. I've been applying it that way when I could. so far so good. Hope it washes off.
First time with this grow and I'm not happy with my decision but that's what I tried this time. Washing these babies is going to be important. Likeing your opinion SlowpufferYuk !! I don't like to spray anything on mature buds?
Thanks Amy, We're having some sun for a change. A real beach day today. Trees had to stay
Your outside trees a looking great!
I know. I'm thinking at least I hope. I'm slow as s*it these days but it's going to be fun.I look at that and I think...it would take me two days to trim, maybe three.
So how do you deal with it. I see you're a homey having much the same weather. I'm east and you're west I think,is that right? I'm getting to know folks here and I haven't read your journal yet so please forgive me for not having read it yet. It's coming.Yuk !! I don't like to spray anything on mature buds?
I've never washed buds , but folks that have, say they will always wash their buds. And trying to tell daughter and boyfriend to wash buds is wasting my time, they'd laugh at me. So the outside plants, I'm not in control of making those decisions. Only when It's time to reup on the supplies, do they need me ! Ha !! But they say they will move them into garage, which is good, but still leaks in places, and i was also told today, that they did find a little bud rot and cut it off, after last rain storm. so my fingers are crossed, that It don't spread. Might rain for two days. Starting tonight ?First time with this grow and I'm not happy with my decision but that's what I tried this time. Washing these babies is going to be important.
