Tutankhamon & Pineapple Chunk Outdoors In Massachusetts

*Awwwww love the birds, sooo cute they are. Thanks for sharing them with me.

The emotional roller coaster's been running non stop for the newby outdoor grower!

*I am on that rollercoaster with you, I can't wait for you to get as much as that bud of her as possible. I'm almost holding my breath. Especially with the wind blowing her over like that. WOW!

Hi PW, I'll bet you a nickel I will. A good indica at night is perfect for us in otterville. She is smelling sooo nice all the time now.

*Same with me, indica for sleep, mmmm

I'll keep that in mind, thanks. I think gorilla bomb or cream and cheese cbd are going next. Maybe both

*CBD Cheese would be good for your inflammation too. I'm sure you can mix it with others too.

I consider them absolutely necessary

*I wonder how I get away with not using it? I know it's wrong, but maybe when I have some cash I will get one. For fun...hahahahaha

I'm so glad she's weathering the trouble's, resilient she is, just like you!

Hi otter - I’ve been lurking here for months now and did a big catch-up lurk this morning. I’m loving seeing these big plants outside... getting itchy for my summer season. It’s so nice too see some outdoors not caged or anything :yummy::love: We have so many nibbling critters in the forest here I have to have everything in a cage of some kind. It’s great to see some living free!

There is lots to negotiate with outside as you are finding out! Having little to no control over the environment is both a blessing and a stress isn’t it!? Esp. when you’re meds are on the line!

I wanted to pick up on a non-growing question you asked a few weeks ago, in case you haven’t solved it yet...

If you want to find content by a certain member only, you can use the search function and input the member’s name to see only content by that person.

You can also narrow a search to within a particular thread - for example, if I wanted to find only when you have mentioned ‘bunnies’ in this thread, I would click/tap the litttle magnifying glass at the top right of the page and where is says “Everywhere”, click/tap that and select “This thread”. Then type ‘bunnies’ in the search box and ‘stoneotter’ in the member box (with out the ‘ ‘) and the search will return only posts by you, in this thread, that contain the word ‘bunnies’ (there wasn’t any ;) ).

There are more things you can do in the advanced search options too, but that ^^^ above is how to search within a thread.

If you want to see more of the search functions and how to use them, the tutorial we wrote on it is here (in the member resources section):
How To Use The Search Function

I hope your getting on top of the bugs and things. Or at least have things in some kind of balance with them. I know a few members have had some success recently using alcohol dilutions to kill bugs dead without harming the plant so if your current methods aren’t working as well as you’d like there’s always that to try.

Looking forward to seeing these finish up nicely for you :Namaste:

Hi Amy nice to see you come through. It's free range for me for now and I'm having a blast figuring what happens. With the help from my friends here and at the local hydro store these two beauties live. Being outdoors more has been a good part too. Seasons swap for us huh? That's going to be fun to watch you get going while we manage snow and cold. Thanks for the search hint. I have to tell you the day PW and I were going back and forth I felt a little like that person I've seen having trouble with simple tech tasks. I venturing off to different places and getting to know the place. won't be long. So far as the bugs and mold and nute things go it's early 4 weeks probably, fingers crossed.

This is it for sure. The pest solver is a link in my fav's now. Is it ok to foliar feed with dolomite lime at this stage of flower? Or do you have a suggestion?

Solution to fixing a Calcium deficiency
To fix a calcium deficiency you can treat by foliar feeding with one teaspoon of dolomite lime or Garden lime per quart of water, Or Any Chemical/Organic nutrients that have Calcium in them will fix a Calcium deficiency. (Only mixing at ½ strength when using chemical nutrients or it will cause nutrient burn!)
Or you can take crushed up dolomite lime or garden lime in a gallon of water and water it in the soil. 1 to 2 teaspoons per gallon of water, which will be slow acting. Garden Gypsum, which is medium absorption. Limestone, which is medium absorption, Rock Phosphate and Animal wastes which are both medium/slow absorption. Note: Caution when using gypsum to an already acid soil (pH that is less than 5.5) can have a very bad effect on different types of plants by effecting the absorption of soil aluminum, which is poison to plant roots.

Now if you added to much chemical nutrients and or organics, (which is hard to burn your plants when using organics) you need to flush the soil with plain water. You need to use 2 times as much water as the size of the pot, for example: If you have a 5 gallon pot and need to flush it, you need to use 10 gallons of water to rinse out the soil good enough to get rid of excessive nutrients.

Pictures 1-2 shows calcium deficiencies. First one shows late, 2nd one shows early development.

at this stage of the game, I would probably do nothing, as the plant is now going to show age. Just let nature have It's way. I'd probably prune off all leaves that show spotting. Nothing you do now, will influence the out come ! Have you looked at trichome color yet ?

Gave the Beautiful Ladies a dose of Monterey B.T. I mentioned earlier. Pity the fool caterpillars.
What's done is done, but:

Many caterpillar species become butterflies, which are important pollinators. Unfortunately many populations of butterflies are highly imperiled, in part because of spraying.

It's usually worth at least keying out species before killing 'em. Further, not every invertebrate that comes to occupy a plant poses any sort of real threat.

But, bygones.

Thanks ,I do wish to respect nature and I have all my adult life. I'm finding it a tough choice to put anything on the plants. Today these bacteria's I'm using seem like a decent compromise. I'm still a bit torn.

Hey Slowpuffer, they are showing age. I'm pulling yellow leaves every day. I think you're right to let em go their way. I haven't checked trichomes yet, they should grow for another month or a little more weather permitting. Good idea I'll get the scope out today for some fun.

Gave the two lovely ladies a spray of defguard for PM. They're doing well but do have some. It's so cloudy and damp this week I wanted to get it on while the fans were damp and let it dry on. Testing a thought. I've been applying it that way when I could. so far so good. Hope it washes off.
