Turbo Bucket's Take On RADDWC: Grow Room Build-Up

Big photo dump today. If any one is curious how much it takes to run two tents and a closet here's a peak.

They start life in a turbobucket™ 5 gallon space bucket with led bulbs 60mm case fans, temp control and 12 feet of gutter heater ziptied to the bottom of it. In a 40°f garage this will keep temps above 65°f. It sits just outside my veg closet and holds the plants around 78°f for the first week of life or so.

Then they move into 1.5l oxypots to build a nice dense Central root ball. At this point they move into the veg closet next to a nearly fully vegged wave and wait their turn

When a flower tent has been harvested the big veg plants move in and the little veg plants get transplanted into 3 gallon fabric containers. They veg for 4-6 weeks until the other flower tent has finished and then they move on.

Obviously not everything comes from seed. For that I have a pair of 12 site Dewey mister clones. One is usually full of potential mom's from New strains and the other holds clones for the next run.
These are fruit punch from the tent that's currently drying.
Chemdawg for the next run

After a smoke test I'll pick a winner and move her into a 1 gal square container with the other sort of bonsai mom's

It's really similar to a perpetual in that every couple weeks you have to advance plants to the next stage but instead of one plant at a time it's 9

And here's a bunch of flower pics from tent #1

Ran some of the ethanol extract from the bubble hash bags. So it's hash oil I guess? Whatever you call it it's dabbable and delicious.

If you handle solvent extracts very often these sili gloves are awesome. We've also been using them for trimming rather than disposable gloves. The only time I prefer disposable gloves is with the bubble hash bags. If the hash is wet and cold enough it cleans off ok and your hands stand dry.

Stuck together all the "old" boards to build one new rig. 800 Watts of photon pumping goodness.

The outer boards are ≈3000k the inners are ≈4200K 70watts each no heat sinks.

Tent #1
Seem to be getting their shit together

Tent #2
More of the same from these girls. Wired together a couple of the fruit punch colas to limit the floppage. (Yes that is a technical term.)

WEBSTERS definition...

floppage - (adjective)

1. successful weight gain resulting in stems bending from the stress of heavy maturation of flowers in late bloom.
2. when the porn you've been watching no longer excites, and increases the blood flow to your man sword.
3. an event or experience to be avoided if your not growing cannabis.
4. a typical out come experienced by the human body when indulging in excess of alcoholic beverages.

Got the new light hung up and the next set of girls moved in. Finally a wall to wall ceiling of light. Or pretty close anyways. At 48"x45" it's just about the biggest frame you can fit inside the tent. "The tent measures 45 1/4" inside the poles"

This wave is 5x white strawberry skunk from strain hunters, 1xBruce banger from seedsman(front right corner) and 3 of my Bagseed Barbie(left side).

First day in the flower tent.

Final harvest weight was only about 18 ozs. Plus 4 plastic grocery bags of trim. Pretty close to average, well short of my best. I had one fruit punch that was a little over 6 ounces, the rest were around 2 ounces each. Not great but also not my biggest problem.

One of those damn hermies got pollen into tent #1. Now I've got a chunk of buds just inside the door that have a bunch of seeds in them.

The rest look ok, still really pisses me off. I should have washed the plants right after harvest. It would have gotten rid of a good chunk of the pollen at least. Any sacs that opened after washing may have still been a problem but it would have killed a lot of it. Live and learn I guess

Got a new hash washer the other day. :woohoo:

Keeping the material cold is one of if not the most important parts to making good hash so I wrapped this baby in 1/2in neoprene foam. It's a closed cell foam that is commonly used to insulate compressors in geo thermal units. Should do a nice job of preventing messy condensation on the outside of the machine as well as make the ice last longer.

Tent #1 Day 50 12/12
Tent #2 Day 8 12/12

It's Friday so they get orca and compost tea today. Tent#1 is toward the end of the cycle so I don't get give them orca. Because it's a shared rez they get a little drought treatment today.
