All looking awesome
Didn't know you made your own tinctures, very nice
One of our Weimaraners is on CBD
I'd like to try making my own
Not difficult at all. MagicButter Machine is relatively quick but I find that it pulls too much Chlorophyll. My preference is the Cold Process in the freezer. I make it with Pure Grain Alcohol. In California you can only purchase EverClear 151 so I have to buy it from an Extractohol (a sponsor on 420 magazine).
Basic Instructions - you can 4x receipe for a full ounce (28g)
1. Put your PGA in Freezer a day before you begin.
2. One Quarter Ounce (7g) Top Shelf product - chop coarsely
3. Decarb in in 240 F (115 C) Oven for 40 minutes - then let cool.
4 Place the decarbed herbs in sealed Mason jar into the freezer for 24 hours.
Also place a pint of Everclear or other 190+ proof alcohol in freezer for 24 hours.
5. Shake aggressively the frozen herb 4 or 5 times about 3-4 hours apart. This is to help break the Trich's off the herb.
6. After 24 hours add 90ml/3fl oz to a Mason jar with herbals. Shake aggressively for 5 minutes.
Place back in freezer for 2 hours and then shake again for another 5 minutes. Repeat aggressively shaking a number of times over the next 24 hours
7 Next morning Strain your herb and place liquid in a different mason jar.
8. Place the frozen herb back in freezer overnight -
9. Next morning add an additional 45 ml for 7g of EverClear - Shake aggressively for 5 minutes and then strain the leaf and place the liquid in the other jar. You can dispose of the remaining leaf. I sometimes brew up some hot Tee - and drink .... be careful it can put you on the floor. Takes about 2 hours to hit.
10. Your tincture is almost complete. Now strain the mixture through a coffee filter to get rid of the dredges.
11. Try it out at a dosage of 1 ml and wait at least 2 hours to determine how you like the strength. If too weak try 2 ml.
12. After determining the strength you like you can then slowly evaporate off some alcohol by placing the Tincture in a Pyrex Measuring cup placed in a sauce pan. I hang the handle of the measuring cup over the edge of the sauce pan. I also place a folded paper towel underneath the measuring cup to all the water not to jibble the measuring cup much. Make sure you have good ventilation and DO NOT DO THIS OVER AN OPEN FLAME.
13. Raise temperature slowly until you see the tincture start to gently bubble. It will start bubbling faster to the water as the boiling point is lower.
I usually reduce it by 50-75% until I get at the dosage I wish.
