Trala’s Tent

Sadly done to create division trala. I meant our scumbag royal family.lol biggest mongrols in Europe.lol
They are doing the same here with the benefits thing. The lockdown was multi faceted and also designed to take middle classes out of the picture and force big business agendas. So many liquidated small companies here now and SOME for a special heads up to sell up. Sadly so many here don't know they are even unemployed yet. So sad. We have family your way both emigrated and Aus . Seems a great life there for so many years from what we get to see.
OMG!

Not the Windsor’s!

Don‘t you dare ruin my fantasy that the royal family is FABULOUS! Say what you like about Prince Andrew, but you leave Charlie, his mam and da and the boys alone! Lollll

I work with many UK nurses, I have never been to your country, but I do know uk nurses are easily the best nurses in the world. Our practice is quite behind in comparison.

I have made a good life for myself. Like most I came from a rough start. I’m definitely not anti establishment. I see first hand how lucky we are to have a system to catch us ie health, education, welfare.

I do agree big business, I make a point of supporting local business where I can and I try to buy Australian even though it costs more. I was having a debate just last week with someone saying they can’t afford to buy local milk. My response is when looking at a big picture you can’t actually afford not to. I’m pleased to say I won her over.

You really dont have to worry about thos one yrala. All will be good. Nothing g to suggest hermie happening really so dont worry .
Honey, worrying is what I do best!

:laughtwo:

Okay back to business.

I have questions. I have never in my life seen plants grown like this. I am used to an outdoor Christmas tree type plant. My last two were literally 5-6 foot.

I de shackled them this morning because I am worried (told you G, it’s what I do) I have stunted their height. They are at best 15-20cm high.

What do I do now?

Do they look ok?

I’m looking for advice.

I see my grow space is too small for 4. It’s coming into winter here 12 Hour nights, so once you guys advise me to flip, I will move two outdoors. The temps here really only go as low as 7 degrees and that’s just for a few weeks in Jul/aug and from 0400-0600 in the morning. Winter days tend to be a chilly 20- 25 degrees which is GG’s Summer lolling.

Could you guys tell me

1. whether to uppot once more?
2. when to do the 12 hour nights?
3. is it normal for my plants to be so low to the ground? They are like ground covers
4. should I keep d shakling and tying them up? I have let them go free today as I thought I was stumping them.

I hate being so super needy, but I literally have no idea what to do next.

Any advice is appreciated

I have been awake since 0600 yesterday thanks to my dreaded night shift last night, so it’s time for me to drop into an exhausted heap.

Night :)

Your plants are looking great.
Congrats on the females :high-five:

Low spread out plants is the aim here, they will stretch and gain height in the first couple of weeks of flower.
I would keep them restrained so you have a bit of control over them during the stretch.
Those branches are gonna reach for the light and go vertical :yahoo:

I think you could possibly keep the 4 in the tent all the way through, it's gonna fill it right up but that's ok, we want to have our tents as full as possible.
Worst case scenario you could always take one outside if things get too crazy in there.

If you are going to try and keep the 4 in there you would need to change light to 12-12 very soon.

BTW it's not even summer here in the UK and it's 26 degrees today

Hope you get some well earned rest, I never could sleep properly after night shifts.

Good morning TraLa,

By the time you post up again i’ll probably be out for the day. I’d love to see more pics and I’m sure your followers would too before advising. Yes the tying down helps control shape, keep her flat and spread out. Don’t try to strap them down hard all at once especially since they were released or loosened and had some freedom. Go very easy so you don’t break a branch. Adjust tension slowly over 2 - 3 days. But yes ground cover is the right look, grow them outwards now for light penetration and airflow. They will stretch up soon.

I agree your tent (70 X 70 X 160cm) may not hold 4 plants, but that depends on how spread out they are now & how long of a veg cycle before flip. As far as moving outdoors, sounds ok but when temp dips below 65 degrees Fahrenheit plants will slow down. Not all strains are identical in that regard, some are less tolerant of cool temps while others are more tolerant of same condition.

What size containers are they in? How long have they been in their current pots? How many weeks since they sprouted. Please add a couple of new photos.

Hello there :)

Thank you very much. While I’m celebrating the lady parts atm in the back of my mind I have a niggling worry that they will all grow some big ole ugly balls due to my night torturing.

I have never seen plants grow like this, so the process is super interesting to me. I’ll tie them back down today. I thought I might have been stunting them.

OMG our Summer dragged, it literally went from September to April, we had terrible fires with it. Perfect combustible weather.

My dad was a Pom, I’m so sorry I didn’t ask him about his English life when I had the chance. I do know he was proper cockney tho. He used to say “Luv to be proper cockney you gotta ‘ear the bow bells...” Tbh as an adult I have no idea what a bow bell even is! LOLLING!

I find the worst thing about night shift is day sleep, I just can’t do it. That of course means I am literally awake for 48hrs. The best thing about night shift is the night sleep that follows it. I slept non stop from 7pm - 5:30am, and this morning I feel brand new again :) Lucky for me I only do one a fortnight.

Good morning 013 :) :) :)

OMG BEST. SLEEP. EVERRRRRRRR :D

I’ll try and work out how to take video, it’s hard to see properly in pics. Have you ever tried D Shackles, I take the long straight metal bit out and it makes the best handcuff. I’m also wondering if I could use various bolts as weights, like tie a weight on each side of a short piece of twine so the weight sits on either side of the branch holding it down, know what I mean? I fucking hate trying to tie the branches, I worry I will knock the little tips off.

I have a feeling the tent will be too small too, the whole 4 are looking very ground covery, all the new veg plants in here seem so tall and proud in comparison, I thought I may have been doing something wrong. They are 6 weeks old, exactly when would you consider flipping?

I‘ll have to google Fahrenheit to check.

They are in 25cm. I think the seedstars are okay, but my clonestars are looking bunched. I have a reference tool from Em and I think she advised a bigger pot, ill go back and check. They have been in these pots maybe 3 weeks, but again I need to check.

I hope you had a good day :)

I just checked Fahrenheit and yes, that could be a problem, not during the day but at night.

I peeked at my menagerie of misfits and omg one day of deshackling and every green arm is waving in the air like they just don’t care! Just amazing how different they can look after 18 hours of sun and 6 hours of (undisrupted) sleep.

So I’m at week 7 and thanks to google I have learned my 25cm pot = approx 10L/2.6 gallons.

Should I consider uppotting (just putting it out there, uppot isn’t even a word, how was it born and why wasn’t the word repot, which is in fact a word, considered?! :laughtwo: ) the largest clone? It looks to be getting tight in the pot.

it seems to be getting tight?? What about the water usage? Can the plant drain the container in 36 hours or less? Only then is it truly ready for a successive uppoting, transplant or whatever you want to call it. Transplanting isn't a race... it is done correctly when and only when the roots have developed in that constricted space right up to the point of diminishing returns, and then you rinse and repeat, doing it again in the next sized container. Your goal is a solid rootball, and you can't get that by rushing the process.

^^ what Bill said. Especially about the sleep.
I have no idea what a bow bell even is!
A true cockney is born within earshot of the bells of the church of St Mary-le-bow.

It’s going well.

Repot to me would just be a switch of pots, as in to redo something cos it's shit :)
An uppot is moving upwards like an upgrade :high-five:

As Emilya says above, the best way to know when to uppot is when they need water more frequently.
It all depends on if you plan to keep them all in the tent.
4x 10l pots will be just about doable, if you uppot they are only gonna get bigger.

Hi Em :)

By getting tight I mean too full. I have been following your water recommendations - even though it nearly fucking kills me! Lol I worry they’re all STARVING! Its hard to accurately tell, I have been going by pot weight, humidity readings and droop, Kate Bush uses the most water by far. I just took her out to my herb bin and tapped the pot, last watered 3 days ago, roots dry. I have taken some video for you to see what I mean about being full in the pot.

I don’t trust my instinct as it has proven to be wrong, just look a my initial daily drenching, and LST, quadlining, lady garden checking and pics during sleep time practices for proof.

I‘m not sure what a solid rootball looks like. Whenever I have transplanted ferns and general plants I have grown, it has always been foliage size based, so this concept is very new to me.

I won’t rush the process, and I will follow the guidance you all give me. I really appreciate you all taking the time to help me :)

Thank you for that! I’ll google the church. It will be so lovely to Google image to see where he actually lived. I Always thought it was somewhere in London, because that’s where he said he was from.

I trust you all so much more than I trust myself.

I‘ve just retied them up. I was shocked to see how much they grew upwards during the last light dark cycle where they we’re unrestrained.

:)

Very good point.

My uppot girls, they’ll be living in their uppot world, bet they’ll never have a back street guy, their big Juicy buds are gonna be so fly...

(And if no one here knows Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl I’m going to sound maddddddd lolling)

So looking at my roots what do you reckon?

I‘m going to post some video, I know it’s bit dodgy, but I figured I probably have 6 people following my grow, so not a huge risk. If you see I have inadvertently revealed too much about myself please pm me and I can delete them.

If the po po are that interested in a peaceful tax paying citizen just trying to grow personal there is a huge problem given what is going on outside at the moment.

Does my tying down look okay?

I only have 6 D shackles and I have used those on Minxie and Trix

All tied up :)
