Thirvnrob's Multi Strain Seed Drawer Clean Out

Looking good in there, but I don't believe that doing LST on the two lowest nodes will increase your yields.

LST on an uptopped plant involves slowly bending it over so the top is lower than the rest of the nodes, causing the plant to put growth hormones into the lower nodes to get a new apical branch. On a topped plant it would involve keeping the top nodes flat (again tricking the plant into moving the auxins to lower branches) while the lower nodes catch up.

I did a write-up on it here on the type without topping if you wanted to take a look:

[whoa, they totally changed the look of onsite links!]

The topping and training method is the type I use on all of my photoperiod plants now.
I should’ve said I’d remove the first two nodes…

First up is Pure Kush. She’s a bushy girl for sure. She’s taken well to training, but oops…I was tweaking her tie downs just a bit. My fingers aren’t nimble enough anymore to tape it together so a clothes pin will have to do.

Next is the very boring Power Plant. Slow growing & sparse node spacing. I topped her 5 days ago

between nodes 5&6 & removed nodes 1&2. Waiting for 3,4&5 to wake up…

Reconfigured my light again - removed 2 bars & I like the space much better now. 800 watts should be plenty light! Added a rug to provide a tiny bit of barrier between the buckets & the cold concrete floor. Hopefully tomorrow I can muster the gumption to get the rest of the room in order…

Next time try leaving a decent stump above the node as that can help keep it from splitting.
