Even though I planted my seeds at the same time, the plants are not maturing at the same rate. So I can harvest one at a time. I would NOT be able to harvest a complete grow all at once, even with my few numbers.

Evening neighbor:-)

Looking GOOD!!! I really enjoy the smells during harvest but, as far as the task itself..........I get bored out of my skull in about 10 min. so I’m going to bored here in a few weeks and probably for a few weeks

Don’t sweat how much time it takes to do either, had one guy tell me he trims a pound an hour.........ya ok, and every plant I harvest has 5 pounds of weed then  it takes as long as it takes brother, you spend all this time to get to this point so slow and steady brother slow and steady. No body kicking your door in to come take your weed so, do it at the pace that works for you and your conditions :-) it will turn out fantastic!

Blessed Buds our friend and be well :passitleft: passing some fresh Gloria

Hey Them! Are you aware that AB is handing out samples of Gloria, not just here but all over the place??? I felt like you should know :)
Yeah sure share the wealth :passitleft: apparently I'm a great under estimator so there's plenty for all

Oh I noticed him over in penny's thread offering nugs.... the way I see it I've smoked enough of his stash for him to hand them out all month

Awesome work Dabs!

Q: What's the best part of growing your own weed?

A: Well, It sure as phuck ain't trimming... :tokin:

Amen there.....and it damn sure ain't battling mites!!!

On a side note Dabber, hope the wife is feeling better ( I am about 4 or 5 pages behind so hopefully she makes a recover over those! LOL)

Keep a paper towel with olive oil on it. Take a break about ever 5-10 minutes and wipe your trimmers down with the paper towel coated in olive oil. You can thank me later.

I love harvest time....right up until I bring the tray of freshly cut colas down to the couch to start trimming. Then I hate it.

I will share what method I like Dabbs. I don't know if you bud wash or not....I do. I do a two part trim. I do similar to duggan initially....but a bit differently. I cut them into single branches and if there are side branching I try to keep them together. I find keeping the buds on the bigger branches will help slow down the drying time. I basically trim all the fan leaves off and any of the bigger sugar leaves. Aside from that, I don't trim much off initially. Then I do a three bucket bud wash. You will never get me to trim my girls and not give them a bath. After a good bath, I hang mine in a cardboard box similar to yours for about 2-4 days depending on the humidity (2 days for a fall or winter harvest since the low humidity will dry them out really quickly where I am at.....4 days for Summer or late Spring harvest). After the initial dry, I will trim any additional sugar leaves that I don't like. Since I don't really sell mine, I don't concern too much over 'perfect bag appeal' but even then it gives me really nice looking buds and its so much easier and faster than doing a full on wet trim (in my opinion). After the 2nd trim, they go in jars and into the fridge for slow and low for about 2 weeks. Then from there, I throw in the humidity packs and throw them in my dark cabinet to cure.....opening up to burp once or twice a week.

I urge you to try a few ways and find what you like best. What Duggs does, works best for him. What I do works best for me (until I find a better way)....but neither one might work for you. Experiment and see what you like! I really like the slow and low but I get that your ol' lady won't let you put it in the fridge. But........would she allow you to get a small fridge to use just for slow and low?

A staggered grow is much easier to deal with in my opinion. I hate having to harvest and trim 5-7 plants within a week or two. Not sure I will go back to a full grow at the same time for that reason alone!

Oh and congratulations Dabber!! Awesome job on getting to harvest brother. Each grow from now on becomes easier in some ways, living up the bar you set will be the hard part.

I was helping a friend trim (shocking, I know) and she showed me that trick. Also kept a short jar with a sponge in it that was soaked with acetone to put the scissors in when they got too gunked up. Between those two tricks it made the job a lot less frustrating.
