TheBlaze's Multi-Strain Grow In Coco & 600W HPS

Sorry to hear about the troubles Blaze.

One thing comes to mind, with all the training you've incorporated in this grow, it is possible that you're doing just fine. When you top and crop, you end up with lots of smaller buds. Those gigantic main colas you're used to seeing just don't materialize. This may be the culprit. It's possible everything is just as it should be. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case you haven't thought of that.

Love Peace and bacon grease:circle-of-love:

I wish I knew more about your growing style so I could help out Blaze but between gnats, coco and PH questions you are hitting just about everything that I know absolutely nothing about. Karma will just be pushed your direction and to your girls.

:Namaste:
Bob ;)

You got this. :cheertwo:

Thanks for the vote of confidence CS!

Yeah, that is a very interesting point Doc. Hadn't thought of that, but I can see the logic behind it. That could very well be one aspect of it. Although it doesn't really explain why the plants are drinking so little. That doesn't mean I am discounting your theory, but rather that there might be more than one thing going on here. I have good news though. :;):

This has definitely not been an easy grow Bob. Then again, I've never grown 6 plants before. I realise now, that the bigger you go, the more likely you are to run into small problems which don't really apply that much to smaller grows. Humidity is a good example. I've always struggled to get humidity up. Even in inclement weather. This time the opposite is true. So now there is a learning curve again. It's all good though. I will go into the next grow, armed with just a little more grow-know. LOL! Thanks for the positive vibes my friend.

By the way Doc Cannabi, I noticed a while back already that the untopped, untrained white rhino has the largest main cola in the group. Also the least bud sites. So you are definitely spot on with that.

MINI UPDATE

Decreased volume of feed last night by 33%. Noticed an improvement this morning already. I am overly critical, so I know I'm not imagining it. Seems like the buds have swelled visibly overnight.

Was happy enough to take a quick in tent pic. Sorry about the HPS/LED glare.

Thanks for stopping by, and the kind words bud.

Will pop on over to your journal just now!

Looking good man... They'll get there... Tell them you love them, girls like hearing that...

Thanks bud.

I will practice a few hallmark phrases, and then go into the tent sentimental guns blazing. The girls will be swooning.

Can you spot the untopped white rhino main cola?

Like you said before, its a whole different game when you start expanding the size of grows. Its so simple to grow 1 plant well that many people just make the assumption that growing is easy. This has caused me many troubles over the years with peoplw not listening to my instruction as they think they know everything because they have grown a plant here and there.

I manage multiple grows with multiple employees and its bloody hard work. some days i want to strangle people for their stupidity but at the same time it is very rewarding work when it goes well.

It just takes a little time to figure out your grow style and learn through the pitfalls. All the theory in the world doesnt equal one grow done in real life. Just stick at it and you will get there mate.

Just remember to allow pots to dry out between waterings. waterlogged coco attracts fungus gnats and although airier than soil it still needs to dry out for best results and healthy roots.

Just give me a shout if you stuck on anything.

Yeah, I'm one of those people. LOL! First few grows were 2 plants at a time. Did reasonably well, and thought it was pretty easy. Then 3 plants. A little more work, but still fairly easy. Cool... double up. Now I've run into every problem except pH. Learnt my lesson there with my first grow already. Now that I've seen some of the potential pitfalls, and just how much work is actually involved, my aspirations of doing this full time have taken a back seat to just getting this grow to harvest.

Thanks for the assistance bud, and I'll definitely give you a shout if the need arises. Hopefully it doesn't though.

Glad to hear it Blaze!

You're getting it done brother. Good call on dropping the feed. Bring on the buds! :thumb:

Thanks Doc! Update coming soon. Stay tuned.

Thanks Bob! I hope you're right. I'm pretty confident I will get something decent from these plants. 500g though? Not so sure. It's ok. Next time will be a bit better. Next grow should kick off in about 6 weeks.

UPDATE

32 Days of 12/12

Tried my best to get a fan last night. Went to 4 different stores. No one stocking fans anymore as we are heading into winter now. Plenty of heaters for sale though... fuck ...fire drill... BRB

... ok, so no fans. So I ported the AC directly into the tent. I real hack job though. Hygrometer shows that humidity actually went up?? Strange. Although it felt less humid in the tent when I opened it up this morning. Maybe because the meter was very close to the vent I used to port the AC in.

Plants looked happy this morning.

Only took a few photos, as my phone died.

Here you go.

Nice, very frosty bud shot. I need a bigger tent.

Cheers

Thanks Miller. That frosty one is the untopped white rhino. They smell hectic! Extremely dank. It coats the back of your throat with this oily chemical smell. Strongest smelling plants in the group.

I've said this before to other WR growers. It's on my list. In fact I'm ordering some of those beans tomorrow. What breeder should I use?

Cheers

Definitely use Nirvana. I've heard mixed reviews about the green house seeds version, but the Nirvana version seems legit.
