TheBlaze's Multi-Strain Grow In Coco & 600W HPS

Yeah, it's a shitty feeling. First time for me. Seems this a grow full of firsts. First time with the bugs as well.

I must say, I'm not surprised it's one of the Exodus Kushes pulling this stunt. Will have to keep a very close eye on the plants from now on.

Good catch Blaze!

I seeded an entire grow because a bubba kush grew a pair. I'm a lot more careful now. Good on you for catching that. We never stop learning brother!

Thanks brother!

I've heard there is a very small chance it won't continue to herm, but that probability is low indeed. If I spot another one, she is gone.

Nice journal Blaze :) Subbed in

Some great info on the LC-OG strain, cant wait to see the difference between your ET and my HSO versions ;)

Sux about the Nanners but seems like you dealt with it nice and quickly :goodjob:, I had one hermy on me in my last grow and didnt notice as she was hidden down the back all the time lol, luckily she didnt pollinate too much

Welcome mate! Good to have you here.

When you say it didn't pollinate too much... how bad/not so bad was it?

Thanks man

Not sure how far it spread but only looks to be on one branch of the offending plant and what im guessing would have been the closest branch of Atomic, over all not too bad just means popping a few seeds from them buds, so far i have found about 6 seeds out of about 4 different buds all from that region but the rest of the harvest is seed free. The seed that has formed is juvenile and probably wont sprout, i do expect to find more, probably a good thing im inspecting my buds a lot more before grinding as i cant stand the taste of seed in weed

Im not sure where it came from, i have no male pollen around here nor was treating any with CS at the time, Im guessing it was in the genetics being a Greenhouse seed and their known hermy issues. My problem about determining how she was pollinated is that she was much smaller than the 2 large plants in front of her and could not even see her for the last 4-5 weeks, i didnt even do checks on her res in that time as i could not get to it lol, I think thats the reason it did not spread as there was no airflow back there and never really got disturbed.

I almost got exited, but as Reaf points out, it is probably not exactly the same situation I've got. I simply can not afford seeded bud. So it will be the death penalty if she continues behaving like a deviant. LOL!

Thanks guys

For sure bud. I am the eternal optimistic though, so I latched on to your post hoping my situation would be equally "not so bad". :grinjoint:

Sounds like you dealt with it appropriately. I've had a whole run go completely to seed, so finding male sacs, is a huge concern to me. Even still, I'd watch, and snip the balls off her 2-3 times, then cull. Unless you don't see them everyday - then I'd yank 'er out right quick haha. If she didn't go full reverse, she'll probably be fine. :Namaste:

mini update:

Was defoliating the last 2 plants last night, the 2 kushes. Found a small pollen sack on the shorter exodus kush. I removed the entire side branch along with the sack at the base. I checked the plant thoroughly, and couldn't find any more. The taller pheno is fine. I will keep a close eye on the shorter one, and if I see any more I will cull her. Pity, as she is the nicer of the 2. The taller, unaffected one, is showing some sativa traits. Not a bad thing.
I would pull plant, every nanner pulled caused another elsewhere. I gave up and since my grow is only for me I ended up breeding some cool stuff. If this is a money grow, cull it.

Cheers

You guys make good points. I checked her again thoroughly last night, and couldn't see anything. I will check every single day. Just one more, and she goes. Chances are, she won't make it. I've already accepted that.

Update coming soon.

UPDATE

Day 25 of 12/12

Not too much to report. As I said, no more man bits on the Exodus Kush. So for now, it lives another day.

Exodus looks awesome, long flower time? Great flowers all around. Leaves are clean, no yellow tips, good color. Nice job.

Cheers

Thanks Miller. That tall EK is really tall! In the second photo you can see it all back of the bus and shit. LOL! It is about 1.5m tall now. If I hadn't topped and tied her down (let's not forget the supercrop in flower as well) she would easily be 2m. A 2m indoor plant. Crazy man. Beginner strain... hahahaha!!!

Flower time is 9 - 10 weeks I think. Might go a little longer on the tall one. We will see.

Here is the write up for EK from DNA's site:

The Exodus Kush is a cross that everyone has been asking for. Two unique flavors collide in this hybrid and the result is a Cheese growth structure (shorter and wide with heavy dense colas) and the OG Kush strength (mostly being nighttime smoke due to its very strong couchlock effect). The Exodus Kush is great for the beginner grower giving great yields as well as being very forgiving with minor mistakes. Don’t let the short stature of her in veg. fool you. Pinching is suggested to keep from too much stretching and providing bigger yields. The flavor starts off like old school classic Cheese then quickly turns to the OG flavor. The OG Kush takes over your pallet while keeping the Cheese ever so slightly in the background. This mix makes it hard for devoted Cheese lovers as well as the OG Kush loyalists to look any farther. This is your cross!
