TheBlaze's Multi-Strain Grow In Coco & 600W HPS

UPDATE

3 weeks of 12/12, and about 18 days of bloom.

BUGS!! Noticed on the weekend that I had aphids on my plants. We also have an ant problem in the area. So I got some organic pesticide, that contains garlic, onion, canola oil and pyrethrin. Sprayed them on saturday morning. Didn't bother wearing a face mask. Big mistake. Runny nose, burning throat. Which then progressed to a severe case of heart burn for the rest of the day. Will spray again this coming weekend and will definitely be wearing a face mask. That stuff is hectic. Can't spot anymore bugs though.

Can you guys tell me if you think my buds are a little stunted.

NEWS FLASH! I will be buying new seeds today!! I have over 50 strains in my wishlist, and I will be reviewing each strain before making my choices. Will take hours, but I love it! I'm looking for 3 strains. 1 x sativa leaning hybrid, 1 x indica leaning hybrid and 1 x indica. Although I still have 2 Aurora Indica beans left. So maybe I will forego the indica and get another indica leaning hybrid.

LOL! Thanks man. That makes me feel better. Maybe I've been spending too much time on Reaf and Cultivators journals. Some big buds in a short space of time.

How are your plants doing bud? Update soon?
 
Check last 3 pages in my thread... Been a little chatter, but outside gal and indoors have been updated few days apart...your doing what I'm doing.. Your hoping for 4000w results off 600, I'm hoping for 600 off 260,lol...

Sorry about the pests. You should look into an IPM regamin for your ladies. Mite-rid from Australia is a great bug killer and actually helps the girls in veg. Spinosad, "Monterey Garden Insect Spray (spinosad)," is recommended by Bobrown. If he recommend it, I can say with 100% certainty that it is well with looking in to.

To be honest, since starting an IPM regamin in my soil, I haven't had a single pest. Unfortunately you've got them. I would go very aggressive. DE, Spinosad, neem cake should take care of any pests.

I will look into all the products you just mentioned Doc, and try and incorporate the same or similar with the next grow. I will be more focused on prevention rather than cure with the next round.

Ok, narrowed down my strain selection to the following candidates:

- White Russian by Serious Seeds. (white widow x ak47)
- Swiss Cheese by Nirvana (swiss miss x UK cheese)
- The OG#18 by Reserva Privada (special pheno of OGK)
- Blue Venom by G13 Labs (White widow x Blueberry)
- Skywalker Kush x Reserva Privada (Skywalker x OGK)
- Iced Grapefruit by Female Seeds (grapefruit x ICE)
- Atomic Bomb by Bomb Seeds (Chemdawg x Bomb)
- White Walker Kush by DNA Genetics (White Widow x Skywalker Kush)
- Lemon OG Kush by DNA Genetics (Lemon Skunk x OGK)
- Silver Kush by DNA Genetics (Silver Bubble x OGK)
- Lost Coast OG by Emerald Triangle Seeds (OGK using Chem#4)
- Buddha Tahoe by Big Buddha Seeds (Tahoe OG reversed)

The strains in bold are the ones I am most interested in. I tried to be academic about this, and I've chosen strains that have similar yields, aren't too tall and don't flower for longer than 9 weeks. I'm not ashamed to admit that I make some extra cash on the side from this hobby, so I need strains that will behave themselves. There are a few exceptions in the list, such as LC-OG which gets tall according to the strain description.

I will stagger it, as I can only run 6 plants at a time. So will run 3 strains, 2 of each. I'm thinking the next run will be skywalker, lemon og and atomic bomb.

What kind of strains are you interested in Tead?
 
I have 2 regs of durban poison in my stash. Will only grow it out once I go perpetual though.

Yeah, you're very lucky. Average price of each seed above was about R240 each, and then another R220 for shipping. Blue Venom was the cheapest at about R160 a pop.
