TheBlaze's Multi-Strain Grow In Coco & 600W HPS

Salut!
Wow, impressive choices of seeds pal! I wish you all the best with G13. Man, I had a top clone a friend gave me some years back. The best plant ever. More resin than anything. Nice smell, nice taste. It's my fav with Sour Jack !!

Can't believe I fell so far behind in just a few days. Looking great brother. I've also been using Monteray Garden Spray with Spinosad in it for a couple of years, it's very effective. I'm very interested in a few of the LCOG beans - looks like there's a few breeders to choose from, so I'm sure there's some controversy there too haha. LED will help with lots of things. Adding a minimum threshold of blue 450nm or so, will help plant function, and aid in ATP/sugar production. Depending on spectrum, it will help with resin too. In the end though, it's quantity of photons, more than quality of spectrum, that makes buds/yield. Great work on these bro, they are beautiful. :circle-of-love:

These are easy to get too, they pump uv all day long.

Hey blaze nice choice of seeds. Ive got a blue venom from g13 ill probably grow next. You seem to like the kushe's though...I love the sound of skywalker. Plus you've got a couple of awesome sativa's in your stash with the durban poison, not much more sativa than that lol!

:thumb:

Now that is a deep genetic pool right there. Makes a grower wanna jump right in. And your first girls up on the deck sound like an incredible trio;

skywalker, lemon og and atomic bomb.

Once again with the lemon!
Bob ;)

Alright Blaze,

Congrats on the purchase! You're going to be very happy with the LCOG. That's the only one I've grown out of your list and everyone who's tried it, really likes it. Mine tested out right around 19% thca.

These strains all look killer to me brother. :high-five:

UPDATE

3 weeks of 12/12, and about 18 days of bloom.

On to the pics...

Thanks BullyG! Was the clone you got a G13 strain?

Thanks CS! I originally added the LC-OG because of the Chem#4 they use, as opposed to chemdawg 91 or chemd. The chem#4 looks like some dank stuff. Then I saw Dr. Cannabi kill it with the humboldt seed version. There was a whole discussion on his thread around wether or not they were gifted a cut from Emerald Triangle. It made for an interesting conversation. Will be nice to see how this version stacks up against the one he ran.

Hey bud! Yeah, I love the chem varieties. Some of the best strains I've ever smoked had some chem in it. Great smell and taste, and often an incredibly powerful high as well. Then of course there is the hype. I'm not immune to it. LOL!

Thanks Bob! Don't count on it being those 3 ladies first. Only guaranteed one is Skywalker Kush. Every harvest needs a powerful indica in it, and skywalker kush is supposed to be face melting in the strength department.

I'm now thinking Skywalker, Blue Venom and LC-OG. That might change though. LOL!

Your grow is what pushed me on purchasing LC-OG. There were a few other equally interesting contenders, but that is what gave it the edge for me. 19% is no joke either! Think I will run LC-OG with the next grow in about 7 weeks time. Let's see how it pans out.

Welcome aboard brother!

Well now I gotta get the skywalker too, with that description.... Blue Venom & skywalker, next on the ordering list...
Anybody else order more than they can grow? Grow 4 order 10, grow 2 order 10 etc etc....

Stoopingcrane, I like that name.... Crouching tiger, stoopingcrane...

Awesome bud! Check out leafly and cannabissearch sites for a review on skywalker kush. It is a big yielding OG variety as well. DNA/Reserva claim it is their largest yielding OG strain. Sounds like a winner to me.

Ok, i have found the true genetics of LC-OG from another forum. Emerald Triangle replied to posts and confirmed it.

Old Paki =Reefermans NL 1 x 5
Chem 4 = Chem Sis
Lemon Thai = Sour Lemon Larry

There was some controversy involving a breeder by the name of Zoolander. Apparently he gifted these genetics to a guy called Frost, who in turn gifted it to ET. Zoolander accused ET of stealing his work and rebranding it. ET replied saying they were gifted the genetics and had no idea it originally came from Zoolander. Seems they sorted their issues out. I'm quite surprised ET came out and verified what Zoolander said. Anyway, according to Zoolander the genetics used to make LC-OG are legit.

It's good they did, can respect their claims on heritage lines with their other genetics....

UPDATE

Day 23 of 12/12

Plants seem to be focusing a little more on bud production now. So it should get interesting from here on out.

I defol'd 4 of the plants last night. Just the 2 kushes left to do tonight. You will notice the plants look less bushy, and you can see more tops now. I took a photo specifically to highlight that for you guys.

Plenty of pics this time round.

Enjoy

They will enjoy their haircut - looks like they already are ;)

Of course, this is all 'legend', and none of us really know what happened. I have my some doubt that this is how it went, but -- The legend:

" " " In ’91, chemdog popped the first 4 seeds. From these seeds, one male was found and disposed of (chemdog was young, you can’t blame him). The 3 females were labeled ‘chemdawg’ (now ’91 chemdawg), ‘chemdawg a’ (now chemdawg’s sister), and ‘chemdawg b’. In '01, chemdog and his girlfriend attempted to germ 3 more seeds, labeled ‘c’, ‘d’, and ‘e’. the ‘e’ seed never germinated, ‘c’ turned out to be junk (according to chemdog), and chemdawg ‘d’ was the keeper. In '06, 'chemdog' and 'joebrand' reunited and joe was given 4 of the last 6 beans: Chemdawg phenos 1-4, '4' being the chosen keeper. Joe thought the '4' was the best representation of the original and thus dubbed it the 'reunion pheno'. Chemdog still has two seeds left in his stash. " " " "

This all started at a Dead concert, and from what I heard, some of the HSO folks, are in the fold so to speak, and so it's likely that they have access to the original genetics.

Blaze,

That last shot is awesome of those tops! What a healthy garden you have going in there. I'm not sure those could look any happier!

:goodjob:
Bob ;)

Thanks Bob! Although I picked up another issue last night.

Thanks for the info bud. So the LC-OG is then using chemdawg A. If that story is to be believed. It seems to be punted as the gospel, so maybe it happened exactly like that.

mini update:

Was defoliating the last 2 plants last night, the 2 kushes. Found a small pollen sack on the shorter exodus kush. I removed the entire side branch along with the sack at the base. I checked the plant thoroughly, and couldn't find any more. The taller pheno is fine. I will keep a close eye on the shorter one, and if I see any more I will cull her. Pity, as she is the nicer of the 2. The taller, unaffected one, is showing some sativa traits. Not a bad thing.
