The VipersNest Continuous

I know what you mean about them last buckets.Your best bet on the roots is to trim them if they mess with your flow. The only root you cant trim is the tap the rest can be trimmed within reason. And if you plant are 1 to 2 foot taller then mine your at 7.5 feet when finished we just dont have the head room with the rails and lights 5.5 is about our max.we have problems with rootbound now.If we could grow an 8 footer we would lol but thats in the works now.its a secret

If ur using clones u don't have to worry about a tap root when root prunning. Its to my understanding that clones don't have a tap root. I know ur using seeds. Agree or disagree pit?

So I must have read wrong. Im sorry. I thought you said your plants were 3 ft tall when finished. My plants only got to about 5 ft on average. Some taller some shorter. I just bought the buckets for the new setup today and also ordered the rest of the parts I need. They should be here in a week or so , so its looking like the TEK will have to wait atleast a week (which kinda sux cause Im ready Now!, lol). Anyhow, Im posting pics of my rootball in my new journal. They were pretty damn rootbound actually, and that was with the plants only 5 ft tall. So if I plan on growing them that big again I will probably use bigger pots. Anyhow, I hope to have the TEK up soon. And I just that I would throw this out there. This is my first time cleaning this ebb and grow set and whoever that it was a good idea to permanantly affix the control unit electronics to the actual bucket was a morron, because now you cant completally dunk the bucket and clean it or anything like that. Instead you have to clean it and all the while be super careful not to damage the electronics by getting it wet. Just not a very bright idea. It would be so much better if it came off! uugggghhh!

Very nice pics looks likr that will be a great harvest if you have the time i have a couple questions you might have the answers for let me know and keep up the great work

my clean up i run bleach or peroxide for days kill everything so i dont have to take it apart then run fresh water for a few days then give it the taste test with your finger or if your realy worried go buy a 10cent gold fish at the pet store if he lives in the rez your good lol.you can name him little pit.by the way the hoses are the most important thing to clean in that system slug will build in the lines.

dude your media is only good for 2 grows anyway, and i cut my hoses out ever 2 grows also change all the bulbs every 2.media gets porous after 2 grows and the fine hair that aborbs all the nutes get jamed into it creates a type of root bound action. also the clay starts to hold mega salts and PH issues start to happen.2 runs with your hydroton and gone i know there peeps out there going to say different but i like my system to run smooth. We know this system well and all its flaws and how to over come them.

JAW.....I'll name another mouse, Red, Joe ,smoke the list goes on got alot of names. But the truth is a fish works if a fish can live in the water there are no toxins.ill pull him out and keep him in a bowl next to the rez.lmao seen gold fish live an a easy cloner while it was working.

Minor hardware update my friends. took Andys advice and read much reviews. I went with the Nikon D40 with 2 kit lenses, one is ths 18x55 and the other is 55-200. I will still ge a dedicated macro lens soon but I will make due wih what I got now..I am VERY impressed with this new rig, not what Im used to. So Im just trying to get comfortable with the toys.

Show us what it does. I wanna c. So they have digital cameras with lenses u can swap out like the old school 35mm? That's cool. I wanna see.

Oh yeah they do. Cool thing about them is often times, the older lenses will fit the new camera bodies so you don't have to buy everything new if you are already invested in older SLR lenses.

@ PitViper: Nice Pit, so to the victor go the spoils?
