I have no idea what it means, but it adds color to my journal. I'm sure it's useful for someone.

I honestly thought it was the EKG strip for someone notable in the hospital recently. Thanks PK!

smds are a bit different than cob too. they are super super straight down and concentrated. there's not a lot of side to side bleed, so they rely on numbers

reds will be spaced throughout to maximize potential. they probably have a few really far red in their too where the cobs don't reach. everything will be a sweet blended white light.

is that a 4 x 4 you have it hung in wall to wall .. ? :cheesygrinsmiley:

if it is - i'm guessing running 75 - 90 % in flower will be in the sweet spot range. too much and you run in to issues.

edit : sorry - i'm geeking all over the specs in other tabs lol :p

My light is bright, and if it grows big bud then I'll have a great bright light. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Not at all. I'm loving it. Yes, only a few inches on each side. They don't recommend using the dimmers at all. They say just adjust the light. The dimmers were for low height applications and they swear there is no need for them.
They have a Veg 8 unit that is specifically for veg, obviously.

ropes are for neanderthals. all hail the dimmer ! ... :p

srsly, once you get used to running with one you will never look back. you'll even toss the rear view mirror the out side window at a buck sixty on highway .. but you might regret that since it could be a nice car.

er on topic ... an under driven or slightly under driven led fixture is a happy led fixture.

I'm confused though. You have one of these do you not? We're they not giving them away in July?

haven't even seen it. my pops told me it arrived about 6 - 8 wks ago and i haven't even been able to look at it. i been trying to figure everything i can about it since. i just got a set of rare car wheels they stopped making as well, and i haven't seen them either.. :p

he's getting sick of me. i had a stainless steel exhaust system sent there last year. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I like anything adjustable, and I like having flexibility. That's the main reason for me requesting it. Thanks for the info bluter.

OK, that explains my confusion. :thanks:

oh yeah my dad came by today and had a gander at the next run. he's anxious to get the flower room full again. think he likes the hour or two of mucking about without my mom in his ear ... :cheesygrinsmiley:

I think my dad does the same, except not over to my place. He has a shed, not one of those intheshed thingies, one where he can hide from everyone.

you'll use both height and dimmer adjustment in the end. it's what i do. there is not a bunch of dimmer adjustment really. once you get it parked in the right range for each stage it's easy.

most of it comes early with seedlings as you ramp the light. once it hits veg you are pretty much there. i like to have a lot of head room in flower. that rig pulls something like 650W from the wall. my flower rig is an even 600w pull. i run about 75% in flower.

for comparison my veg rig pulls 200w. i triple it in flower. both my rigs wanna run about 75 -90 % tops before i get issues.
