Looking nice. Looking a bit like me with towels and sheets and buckets. Oh and the bamboo. :morenutes:
Yeah thanks. I've seen some of my badly nutured plants shooting like 8 or more branches all trying to fill out in bud and have been looking at them and wondering how I can get the right kind of training technique to maximize on this basic seeming? trait!
Of course if I had possessed the compunction to lollipop seriously, they would of been looking alot healthier.
I'm learning where I'm at with the stretch!

I'm starting a couple new quads, both autos (Purple Punch and GDPx Gumberry)
I'm going to go with nodes 2&3 instead of 3&4.
Since they're autos, time is important, and this allows me to start the training a few days earlier.
Here's the PP yesterday after removing node#1 & the bottom leaves -she's 14 days from sprout:

And this morning after topping:

topped pp saturday.JPG

Her roommate is 6 days behind (still a baby) so she gets to just grow for another week or so:

That's about it for today, just the beginning, so a bit boring at this point...
Topping autos is generally not recommended, but some folks have made it work very well-We'll find out if I'm one of those folks or not-I'm hoping for the best,so we'll see how it goes...

Thanks for looking, I'll be updating again when things start happening with the girls!

My first time with autos . I had 3 pineapple express and 1 critical kush. 1 is failing to show, I dropped one of the pots across the seed trays I put under the smart pots on. The 2 that are growing: one hasn't really developed a pair of cotyl leafs, it's wierd. Probably the soil I made. Last one is leggy and has a first set of proper leafs. Mega. Going to have to switch the lot to 12/12 in a fortnight. I've got 100litres of a buffered 6.5 compost, moss peat, castings and coco arriving mid week so I can put everything in final pots and give it a while to get a good stance ( would be great) then flip to 12/12 even if they all go the distance; I'll be able to get the house straight before the landlord comes back in the new year!!!! I've got priorities and growing in a caravan park ain't gonna happen.
As for the autos? They are unfortunate victims of circumstance. Didn't know I'd be hiding them as they were shooting. FFS. 10 regular seeds all with the bottom 2 nodes off to quadline . I've been limited to the time to finish up by and so will not top the regular ones that, are female as they are about 3weeks younger than the feminised 3 I'm trying to train. I'm stressed out. I've read how others on 420 suffer from all manner of problems. Alot is behavioural. I'm prime candidate. When I smoke good weed I am going to start nothing but the next one. Nah IF. IF only. Brilliant herbal organic cerebral alignment. Shuts down the isolated anxiety and making me waffle. Wot?.

Those are lovely short plants. In my experience you seem to have the creation of a nice short plant accomplished. Mine are, well getting shorter. I chopped the tops off to make them shorter.
Yeah right. Jealous mate. Are the pictures of your latest attempt or is that the to quote you ' bad' attempts. To my reckless eye, you have some lovely short plants. I'm not sure what the q'squad Ideal for your current stage of growth is. Probably best to read it some more ( I have read things once or twice, generally speaking, and acted upon what I think I now know,,then run into problems and read stuff I seem to never see until I have made the error. What ever scenario, it's my lack of reading ahead and asking sensible questions. Again, I'm no expert but they look like girls with ambition. A couple of weeks of good vegin mate and you'll be a proud gardener. IMO.

And her sisters. I've got expectations for the last one shown. She's got that,, I will go mad when I flower ,, look.

Hi fellow quadders. I have begun the culling now. The 1st 2 are out and trimmed , not massive but not bad. These were the 2 smallest ladies genetically and never stretched much. Quads did a good job on helping them produce better i think but lets see what the others add to the party once they all come out. Taking 2 a day after 24 hours dark for each pair. Should give the longer Orange Sherbet time to finish too.

Will have an ultra violet and lemon og entering the fray soon too, bare quadettes

Should I remove the lower stuff now I'm going to give this a try I'm growing headbanger og 20 days from seed these pictures are from Thursday
I'm quite far from the most informed growers of this method, but'd I'd say it's just barely ready. Probably better off letting the 5th node grow out a bit more before topping - maybe another week?

It wont hurt to let her go a little more before the chop. just to make sure her 2nd set are through and ready for the task at hand. You wont lose anything at all by waiting .
