The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Good afternoon Sue! Nice to see ya home, back up and gettin things goin. 2 more days til the project kicks of huh? Cant wait to see how you incorporate all of the goodies! Ill have to come out and build you an addition. lolz. :lot-o-toke:

I dream of a home with rooms I could dedicate to growing. Just one good room would do it for me now. As it is I'm going to sacrifice the living room and turn it into a life-giving grow space.

Hey Sue. This is the Mars Hydro 39" tent. I have 5 girls in flower. :peace:

This is a trick of the trade Cajun shared with us, and so a handful of us are playing around with it.

Around here we don't try to emulate dispensaries, as they are well known to stock product well below the quality we expect and want. Also, nasty sprays and feedings bring out the taste. Aim higher Sue.

Good morning everyone.

Today I drop seeds in water. :yahoo: Oh... I need to check out Shiggity's germination technique this morning before heading out.

I also need to get back to Callanetics. Check it now Susan, before you wander right off the path.

So... I appear to have finally caught up on my sleep. Let's see if I can jumpstart living again. I hadn't counted on going into crash mode with munchies for the first three days. There must have been more stress involved in my vacation than I gave credit for.

Beautiful picture supergroomer. I hope I can find a way to get it stealthy in my place, because a meter squared is a sweet grow space, and it'd be nice to add it in. We're going for stealth here though, and I can't be distracted by the shiny.

Interesting reading 36. Yes, this is exactly what we're trying to do here, and I thank you for that insightful link. I wasn't aware that the aloe I use as a regular part of my drench schedule would negatively impact this response. That sent me to wondering how much aloe would interfere at all in the development of trichomes, both in density and number. I'll need to be more attentive as to finding a balance in my amendments.

I need to read through that article again with a closer listen. It gets so technical it shuts my brain down. I was hoping he'd explain it better in layman's terms and correlated it to the cultivation of cannabis. Eventually he gets back to it, so I'll keep watching. There was a lot in here that stimulated my brain and made me want to make a thorough review of what I add to the soil and why. Not a bad thing at all, coming into a new grow.

We've had a couple people harvest following this practice and they report no adverse effects to taste at all. Just increased trichomes. I think this is one practice we can safely emulate 36. The idea is more trichomes and more dense trichomes to create more concentrated oil. I fail to see what harm can be done here.

Sounds almost like a Thieves Oil mix. ?

It's very similar, substituting oregano and thyme for lemon and eucalyptus. Theive's Oil is to enhance the immune system. The oil mix we're playing with has the effect of firing up the immune response, or more precisely, the Jasmonic acid response (JAR).

Life awaits my attention. It's a beautiful, sunny day in the Burgh, and I'm gonna get out there and enjoy it for a while. Let me check up on that germination technique and get to the store. I hope you all have found your own joyful path today. Let's make it a point to invite others to share that joy with us. Spread that joy at every opportunity. We can do it. We've already proven to be very adept at joy. :laughtwo: :green_heart:

Later guys. :ciao:

Time for the next batch of brownies. I haven't learned enough yet about liposomal encapsulation to make a change in the recipe yet, but I'll be on it by the time I need to make another. To be able to get remarkable bioavailability means I can cut back on the dose.

Mmmmmm........ The apartment smells yummy!!! :battingeyelashes:

Double post. :laughtwo:

That's what I get for working on two devices simultaneously. LOL!

Sue is baking brownies. All is right with the world.

You adorable man. :battingeyelashes: :kisstwo: I couldn't find vermiculite today, so I'm gonna wing it with planting. I may use all kit soil in the cups. That stuff germinates beautifully.

When I track down lecithin I plan to use coconut oil.

Mine just came out. How cool that we're cooking together. How much in a dose with yours? Mine are a gram a slice, so you can appreciate the value of greatly increasing bioavailibility.

YOU'RE HOME! AND BAKING!

Yippee!

Bless you, dear lady -- I'm so glad you're back in your own place with your gardening and oil-making plans. So happy for you, Sue.

I really encourage the lecithin experiment. I used lecithin in my last canna butter and it is freaking lethal for me, so would probably be a nice gentle ladylike high for you ... heh heh heh. Amazing the difference between just decarbing the bud/trim (which is good) and also adding lecithin to the fat during extraction (which is extraordinary).

My Dark Devil is almost at harvest. She's foxtailing a bit in this photo from Friday but when I lovingly inspected her today she's just going nuts!

Anyway, just wanted to say that every time I look at her I'm grateful for your championing of the strain here and for your continued kindness to me and so many others. Thank you :)

Have a great week!

Re: The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Returnight

Glimmer, you're so sweet. :laughtwo: I must admit, it took me a couple days to adjust, but today I feel like the daily doses are beginning to have the desired effect. I suddenly lost my craving for sweets and stopped having the munchies. Whew! That's dangerous territory for SweetSue. I'm not young enough that the 15 lbs I picked up over vacation will be a simple thing to lose. *sigh*. It was worth it to spend time with her.

Don't you guys ever let me go away for that long again!!!

Dropped some seeds tonight.

The four on the right wil be in LOS. The four on the left in Doc Bud's HighBrix Blend soil. I start them all under CFLs, so I still have time to decide on lights. Hehehe. Lights. I have more lights coming. :slide:

Oh yeah, glimmer, that's one beautiful Dark Devil Auto. Dang! I started the community grow thread hoping to inspire a few cultivators. You guys have taken it and run away with my vision. I couldn't be more thrilled at the numbers we've managed to entice to grow these delightful and potent darlings. You see, I'm planting another one. :laughtwo:

What do you think guys, are we ready for a community grow of Carnival?

Let the show begin...

:laughtwo: You took the words right out of my mouth. LOL! Good morning Reg. ,

And so it begins.....

Everything planted in second run kit soil, 'cause why not? I had my best germination numbers in this soil, which I wet nicely with a light TransWater and a splash of Tea. Now I'm going to put little sandwich bag tents on them and get some lights set up in the closet. The landlord's son is coming in to fix my toilet, so I need to be a bit stealthy for a while longer.

Back on my regular meds dose of 2 grams a day and I'm relieved to be feeling like myself this morning, alert and a bit zippy out on the edges. :laughtwo: It was getting a bit dicey there at the end. I got in a Callanetics session yesterday and it's already easier to get up off the floor, my preferred sitting spot.

The munchies caught me off guard, and I had too much money with me when I went shopping that day. Hahaha! Thankfully, Callanetics covers a multitude of sins and in a week or two you won't see any lingering signs of vacation indulgence hanging around. :battingeyelashes: The munchies dropped off noticeably yesterday, the day I passed on coffee with fixings' while out shopping and stopped craving chocolate. That took about three and a half days. This morning I've had my brownie, that's all so far, and I'm not hungry.

So, three days of brownies, dosing approx. 1gm of quality buds per slice at 2 slices per day and, even given the waste factor that makes edibles in this fashion the least effective delivery system for bioavailibity, it only takes about three days to regulate appetite.

I've ordered sunflower lecithin. My next batch will be modified to include coconut oil and lecithin into the process. I love experimenting, don't you? :laughtwo: Isn't it marvelous to be able to experiment on yourself? Might not be the same value from a scientific standpoint, but it'll be great fun, and I'll keep notes. If I can get more benefit from my current dose I can cut back a smidgen and heal faster. That leaves more harvest to convert into different types of oils and suddenly I'm getting pretty darned serious about this aren't I?

Which reminds me, I haven't checked in on the Slo Mo Guys in too long. I'm kinda scared to see what madness they've been up to. Hahaha! OK, it's time to get back to work with my new charges. You know, I was thinking I had the prime opportunity to simplify my life and grow two plants per tent and use the closet as a starter room, but instead I went with eight plants total. I know it'll evolve as I get into it, but what does it say about myself that I willingly take on eight full-blown plants like it was the most natural thing in the world?

I don't know about you, but every time I drop seeds into soil I hold my breath and start making deals with God. :laughtwo:

I need more fans.

Are we having fun yet? Get out there and spread that joy as only you can. Back to work now guys. We have to at least pretend we're being responsible. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:
