The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

I'm headed out the door thinking "Why do I feel so strange and out of sorts?"

Then I realized the alarm for my brownie dose went off at 10 while I was in the middle of drenching the LOS pots and I simply turned it off and went back to what I was doing. So I'm almost 2.5 hours past my dosing time. That might do it, you think? :laughtwo:

That's what I needed. :battingeyelashes:

garden doing fine :hugs: I trust your walk is as full filling as always :hugs:

It was a delightful walk, thank you. Yesterday I treated myself to a reading on how one would execute a walking meditation, and today I put some of that into practice. Possibly my best walk to date, so fluid from the hip joints it was shocking. It amazes me to discover hidden pockets of tension in my own body. :laughtwo:

I didn't get any work done at the labyrinth, because I kept getting distracted by life, but the time along the river is such a balm to the soul. I'm so blessed to live so close to the river, to have this lovely path to walk at my whim and have no threat of flooding.

I keep forgetting that getting high is an option. :laughtwo: Let me stop what I'm doing, put the iPad down, and have some intention to get righteously blasted. :yahoo:

After I post this. :laughtwo:

I'll smoke to that.

Wow! You roll a mean joint. Kuddos. We rarely had enough on hand at one time to roll joints. For over twenty years I chased down an eighth a day to keep him medicated. Geez, that's hard to believe, given my present reality.

I have mellow jazz filling the room, the ambiance of the virtual crackling fire to temper the quiet and make it feel much less lonely and a couple strains I'm playing with this evening.

Let me join you Ditchweed. :battingeyelashes:

Cheers Sue.

And thank you by the way. It has only taken three decades, but I did eventually learn to roll a mean joint.
Since it is what I love I shudder to think of the amount of them I have rolled.

I've smoked a couple in the last year, in celebration and in memorial for fallen warriors, but I have a difficult time getting all the way through one alone. A joint is such a lovely shared experience, and I do love the way it works as incense too. Nothing sweeter, IMO, than the smell of cannabis permeating the living space. You don't get the same effect any other way, although the smell of the oil cooking in my MB2 right now is almost unbearable you delicious! :laughtwo:

What the hell. :battingeyelashes:

Thank you Woody, I really appreciate that thought. I've been working on getting there for over two years now. :laughtwo: Getting close now, I can smell it. Lol!

Have a wonderful evening now. :hugs:

Goodnight moon.

That joint looks juuuuuust fine in my eyes :thumb:

when I take the kids for a walk to the playground, I do some type of meditation too. It is something I have worked out over the years.

it started after reading a religious book from a Monch living in the Holy Mountain Athos (info:Mount Athos (/ˈæθɒs/; Greek: Άθως [ˈaθos]) is a mountain and peninsula in northeastern Greece and an important centre of Eastern Orthodox monasticism. It is governed as an autonomous polity within the Greek Republic under the official name Autonomous Monastic State of the Holy Mountain (Greek: Αὐτόνομη Μοναστικὴ Πολιτεία Ἁγίου Ὄρους). Mount Athos is home to 20 monasteries under the direct jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople.)
He suggested, while walking, to repeat the phrase : "Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me" over and over.

It works like a mantra and helps me clear out bad thoughts and fill my soul with joy.
Like I have said in other threads, I believe in God, not in the Church or the "Social club" around it.

Walking meditation is akin to this, but without the mantra. You're needing to be alert, but you want your mind in "free fall," as I think of it. You "feel" the presence of you breath, of the sensation of your skin caressed by material and air, the undulating sway of the spine as the bones gracefully move muscle and tissue forward on the path. You're attempting to clear the mind and be at joy, at one with the cosmos, for about twenty minutes. My walk it timed for 35 min out, time at the labyrinth and a casual stroll with grocery stops along the way.

It's working into a sweet daily routine. Reminds me of how Europeans are more inclined to shop for groceries on a daily basis. It's a rhythm that resonates within me. Just this morning I had to smile when I sudden realized that the reason I'd been rolling out of bed to get the walk in early was simple conditioning. When Dale was alive if I didn't get the walk in before he disconnected from the dialysis machine my day was shot as far as my time.

Now, I have all the time to myself, and there's no need to subject myself to the freezing temperatures along the river in the early morning hours. Gordon Lightfoot, "Early Morning Rain"..... Let me post that on the Spot.....done! :laughtwo: . I've started going out later, but now I need to be aware that I need to schedule it to be back by 4PM to get the bathroom curtain closed so I'm not broadcasting the presence of a grow space in my apartment. Can't consider it stealthy with that spotlight shining, can we? :laughtwo:

Carn1:4 (Day 46) I count at least 16 potential tops developing. :slide: Wait until she gets the bigger soil base under her roots.

I readjusted the auto tent inhabitants once again to get them properly positioned under the light in a uniform canopy. Makes life so much easier. I keep thinking I need something akin to a giant Jenga stack, or Lincoln Logs, to be able to put the light at the ceiling in all cases and build the plants up to the proper level in smaller increments than crates or boxes allow. One of these days I'll come up with the right mix. Every grower has their own system.

The hair's dry enough after the shower that I can safely venture outside. Time to head for the labyrinth.

:ciao: :green_heart:
