The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Quite the busy bee.
That Carnival looks edible.
Great work Sue. Beautiful.

Why thank you Ditchweed. I was looking it over and found myself feeling quite satisfied with how it's progressing. Time to start a CBD though, to stay ahead of demand. The daughter decided the sense of "off" she's been feeling is attributable to the time change and not the change in oils (whew!). This means what inventory I have on hand is sufficient. I didn't want to be locked into a specific strain for her. That complicates our lives too much and opens us up to too many opportunities to run out. Can't have that. The girl's just getting used to feeling normal like the rest of us. I've bought more time.

Hi :hugs: you surely have a lot on your plate :) They look sweet, but Carnival shouldn't she look more happy by now??

Actually, she's in the harvest window right now and I could harvest her at any time and be happy. They get tired-looking towards the end. One day I'll open the tent and there won't be any doubt that she's ready. One of the biggest tricks to this obsessive hobby of ours is waiting until the plant says "Take me - I'm done already!!!" :laughtwo:

Happy Holidays, from my canna kitchen to yours. :circle-of-love:

I sure am diggin watchin you grow a auto hempy. I wonder what part of "Gee Sue, try a photo instead" missed the target, but you know... I'm gonna roll with whatever flow's goin.

She's a photo Tead. That's one of the Carnival #2 clones. At some point I have to flip her, but until then she can grow out here next to the DDA5.

When I get the new light I may put her in the auto tent until I can flip her with the other Carnival clone.

.... must smoke less. Easily confused and a smart-ass... bad combo.

The threads... they all flow into the sea.... like sharks with their fins breaking the surface giving me a little glimpse into their nature... but not quite sure if it's a dolphin fin or a shark fin.

:laughtwo: One of my greatest pleasures is having you following my journals Tead (no apologies for the numbers, my friend Lol!). You smart-ass attitude is one of your more attractive features. :battingeyelashes:  In my manic garden it's easy to lose your way, hence the offer of the arm on occassion. Lol! Just for you I captured a shot of her this morning. Mmmmm..... These French roast coffee beans sitting next to the iPad are tempting me beyond endurance. Let me post this and break out the grinder and press.

Emerald (Day 33) I moved the CFLs back over the DDA5 for a couple days until she recovers from the FIM I executed yesterday.

I forgot to mention that Emerald is droopy because it's early in the day. She'll perk up soon.

I'd say this one needs a drench.

Carn1:4 (Day 45)

We can all breathe a collective sigh of relief. *SIGH* THIS is a plant working in concert with her soil. It's been four days since her last drench. :slide:

When you set the pot in the basin and it floats you know you've done it right. :laughtwo:

One of the nicest features of the Dark Devil Auto is that, regardless of when your last high was with her yesterday, when you wake up in the morning you still have a sweet buzz going. :battingeyelashes:  I'm still an hour from my scheduled THC dose and I'm feeling mighty fine, I'll have you know. :laughtwo: And I went to bed at 10 last night and slept the night through. :slide:

Mmmmm....... Fresh coffee. Nectar of the Gods.

Out of the blue I suddenly realized that what I prepare for myself every morning is more aptly called porridge. When did we get away from calling cooked grains porridge?

image37917.jpg

Of course my porridge is loaded with things you wouldn't typically find in ones breakfast grains, like hemp seeds and canna butter to augment the flavorful cranberries and raisins and pecans. Mmmmm...... Be back later. :laughtwo:

It sounds like a good breaky Sue. I threw some thick sliced bacon on the grill and whipped up some biscuits. The healthy version has gravy. :;):

OMG, you make biscuits and gravy and I'll be right over Rifleman. :laughtwo: One of my favorite all-time meals, and something I haven't made for my daughter since her father died. I think I'll pick up some sausage while I'm out on my walk today and whip up some biscuits for dinner. She'll be so pleased. :battingeyelashes:

Thick sliced bacon. *droll* You're a man after my own heart Riflemen. :kisstwo:

Drenches: Carn1:4 (Day 45)

While I had her out I tightened up the restraint on the leader and did some creative tucking.

You can barely notice this tuck. Here, I'll show you from underneath.

I learned all this watching Graytail master his own juveniles. This one worked out rather well.

That leaf should keep that tip down for a day or so.

What a pretty leaf, eh?

I've got about two weeks to get her up to size for her flip. I think I can get the job done. :cheesygrinsmiley: She stands about 9" tall right now and I want her in the 12" - 14" range by then.

I'm hoping to get these side shoots up to the canopy height by then.

Back in her own spot, making this blinking light work for her. humming a happy little tune, knowing this panel won't be here that much longer. :battingeyelashes:

IMG_195730.JPG

Have a joyful day everyone. I'm headed out into the sunshine to walk to the labyrinth and spend some time clearing the stones and sucking up some healing rays. I battle SAD during the winter, and that daily shot of solar-powered Vit D is an absolute necessity for me.

Catch you later. :ciao:

One last thing (or two)

The one that refused to die:

image37920.jpg

I pulled the sad clones from the shelf but Carn1:6 refused to be killed off. She's gonna sit in the window for the rest of her life. The room will be totally dark during lights off, even if I need to use it I can do so in darkness. I've always wanted to grow one in a window to see what happened. :battingeyelashes:

The cup next to her is in preparation for the CBD Critical Cure I need to get started ASAP. It had the DDA seed, but nothing came of it and I couldn't find it when I went digging for it. I'll look closer later before I moisten the cup again.

IMG_195829.JPG

I didn't really have room for another DDA at this point anyway. I got caught up in the excitement of the new seeds. I'll start one for the next open slot in the auto tent, after I get the clones flipped next month. Next time I'll be sure to use B A R's germination method all the way through.
