Looking good sue! The DDA is something else. I thought the same thing about ours. She is about 12" tall but purple everywhere and branches flying out of everywhere. She will be a good one. Too bad we can't smoke that one. Have a good one!

Tincture Time
Looking over my notes I realized it was time to bottle up the DDA vegetable glycerin tincture. It was started on 5/20, so I'm at about 9 weeks.
It took me seconds to realize I should have used the fine metal strainer instead of a coffee filter.
Just over 4 ounces. How nice of Mr. Krip to suggest the 4 ounce bottles.
I'll set this aside and bake it into a batch of brownies this afternoon. Standard information suggests you only get about a 30% pull of cannabinoids with this method. I may have done better than that, rolling it across the floor for a period every day like I did, but the fact remains that there's still a lot of cannabinoids in this puck. I'll add it to as much DDA as I have left and get the last batch of DDA BioBomb Brownies done and frozen.
I covered it over for light protection until I get back from the store.
I licked up any and all residue and took a half dropper full before I put it into the cupboard. The buzz from tinctures is still something I'm getting used to. It's much more subtle, and feels like my hearing is somewhat dulled, if that makes any sense. Maybe it's that I'm more aware of internal rhythms. It's a pleasant enough buzz, just something I need to get used to so I can figure out when this method of administering my cannabinoid load would benefit me most.
I like the flavor, that's for sure. The Dark Devil Auto has an exquisite terpene profile that I've yet to pin down, but in the tincture I'm picking up the warmth and zing of what identifies as black pepper in my memory banks. This surprised me, because I'd never caught that nuiance before. This is delicious tincture.
There's no denying I'm buzzed. It's been about two hours and the buzz, pleasant though it may have been, is beginning to taper off. Time to back it up with a 5:1 BioBomb capsule.

Had to correct my dates again. I promise they're right now. Lol! Looking at my flow sheet I noticed I'd mixed the dates up and jumped a week ahead. Turns out they were right before.
Geez guys, can you believe my first major in college was accounting? Hahaha! That lasted one semester. I have a nasty habit of transposing numbers, a lovely talent I inherited from my mother. Not a trait you want in a field like accounting.

Well, I dropped my first auto seed today. It is an Ultra Lemon Haze.
I did a favor for a friend a while back and he gave me some store bought seeds in return. The others are 2 Ghost Train, 2 from Barney's Farm that I think are Blue dream and something called Pink Plant. The name is kind of a turn off for me but the write-up is interesting.
They all went into cubes dry with the cubes soaked in an Azos solution. It's my first try with it. I just followed the bag instructions. Two of the seeds were very small. Some of them may not germinate or do well.
This brings up something I have been curious about for a while. So many of the newer strains have not been stabilized that well. IE three and four phenotype. I am thinking that on average, a person would probably do better buying reputable clones if they can find what they want. Because, the growers would have picked what they are growing from a larger pool of seeds. Thoughts.

Most of the European seed dealers sell from banks that have been around a long time ...so that's often where you will find very solid strains. Anyhow Susan,..how do you do it girl,..i sit down to cruise thru my subbed journals and then i look up to see four hours have passed...

I'm severely oversubbed Duggan. I don't even try to keep up anymore. I look at the list of notifications and throw out a virtual dart. That's where I go next. Since I adopted that method I'm less frustrated by it. Right this moment I have 97 notifications. No one can keep up with that and still have a life. If I'd stop visiting new journals that list may dwindle, but where's the fun in that?

Sue: I've been using my cured BBL buds as medicine for a family member who has stomach problems. He says it settles it down and lets him sleep. Real effective body lock. (I am SO PROUD that I could help someone for real!) It was from my first BBL harvest.

This is a reaccuring glitch. It usually corrects within a short time.
I'm finding that out millertm. This strain is really the only purple one I've grown, and after 6 or 7 I still haven't found a comfort zone. Too much else going on. I keep saying it, but one day it'd be nice to do an entire grow of DDAs.
