The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

I am sure they will love their new environment, but let them get used to it first,, a week or so.
Hope you are well :circle-of-love:

They've already been under some powerful lights, so I'm certain they'll adapt well. :battingeyelashes:

Hi Rascio
happy is the word :) nice to meet you. :welcome:

You get me. I like that. :laughtwo:

Hey SweetSue,

I gave up trying to catch up with what's been going on, ... So much! This looks like as good a place as any to jump in and swim with the happy fishes.

Cheers! : peace:passitleft:

There you are. I was waiting for you to get adventurous enough to jump into this joyful space. :laughtwo: Yes, we move quickly here, but we're having great fun and always learning. This journey is all about the curative power of cannabis. Maybe there's something we'll inspire you to try when you begin harvesting Carnival gold.

I can't tell you how wonderful it is knowing you're back in our neighborhood Rascio. :hugs:

:laughtwo: That's a really delightful way to look at it Stage. It surprises me how much more normal There's that word again :laughtwo: it feels to have the sound and presence of tents in the bedroom again. I wish I had room to put the 4x4 up again, but these two and the closet will do nicely.

Another month's supply of CBD capsules in the fridge.

image15006.jpeg

I've noticed a change occurring with the oil. The original capsules were made before I started keeping the oil in refrigeration to ward off having it go rancid. As I made more capsules that oil first has to come out and get back to a liquid form. The bottle I'm using had been through that thawing process twice now, today being the third time. Each time it goes through that modified freeze-thaw the lecithin is breaking down the components and distributing them in a finer mix. You can see evidence of this in the capsules. The one on the left is from the previous batch, the one on the right from the bottle that thawed out today.

image15007.jpeg

I'm taking the other bottles of oil out today to thaw and then I'll put them back in the fridge. BadKat had mentioned in one of her many posts that she freezes and thaws her CCO in the freezer multiple times to force this breaking down and dispersment. Her contention has been that all that work on the part of the lecithin only makes the oil more bioavailable, since every tiny molecule ends up coated with the lecithin. I think I agree with her.

It'll be nice to get these theories verified in a lab someday.

Taking pictures for the update, and admiring the Med GOM 1.0 when I spotted this.

image15014.jpeg

Flipped it over in the sunlight and the eggs jumped out in that unforgiving illumination.

You got it! SweetSue get her first round with spider mites.

Thankfully I won a couple notable contests in the past year or so and that left me with not one but two bottles of SNS 209, one of which was pressed into duty.

image15013.jpeg

Obviously infested leaves have been removed and buried deep in the trash can. The Med GOM 1.0 has been thoroughly drenched with the SNS 209, a treatment that'll be repeated every other day until I'm satisfied the infestation has been stomped out. I'll be treating the DDA in the other tent as well, just as a precaution. It doesn't appear to have any concerns, but let's not take any chances in the newly established tent, shall we?

smash em sue go terminator on thier arachnid asses .

Already on it photos. :laughtwo: I think I got all the eggs and affected leaves. The SNS 209 should make quick work of repelling any more.

Sue that is horrible about the spider mites. Glad you have it under control. :thumb:

What kind of seeds are those? If I was a betting man I would say carnival. Wise choice. :passitleft: :hugs: :hugs: :passitleft:

Thanks nis. I think I got them early enough to avoid a hoard. Just yesterday, mind you, I said to myself "Susan, you are one lucky duckling to get this far into a growing trend and not have to contend with spider mites."

Yeah, I actually said that. Just yesterday. Ironic, eh? :laughtwo: Complacency is not something any cultivator of cannabis should ever allow themselves. Lesson learned. Lol!

Yes indeed nis, those two seeds would be Carnivals. Maybe you should have placed that bet. :battingeyelashes: I'm going to train one the way I normally would and leave the second one with all its leaves, avoiding the trimming of the lower parts we're all so fond of. We got into a discussion of that technique over at Pigeons journal and I committed to a side-by-side to see how the techniques compare at harvest. I figured I had a prime situation for that experiment - two identical strains in the same soil and under the same light.

Mostly I want lots and lots of Carnival. I've been craving it something fierce. To have to uproot my last one just hurt.

Bastid Bugs! Can say this page did give me joy as it usually does :) bugs or not! Just love seeing those tents up Sue:thumb:

Awww..... Thanks Growlow. :hugs: It felt so good to wake up to the sound of the fan. :laughtwo: God, we're a strange lot, aren't we?

That's one thing that I love about the community here is that people do side by side comparisons of different growing styles, lighting, etc. to help others and show them what works and what doesnt. Good thinking!
