The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Daily Update: Wednesday, June 8, 2016

OK, let's see if I can get this posted by midnight. :laughtwo: Nothing like down to the wire Susan. Lol! Busy day, that ended with my weekly walking club, and oh, what a good time that's turning out to be. One of my better decisions this year. New friends intrigued by the idea of cannabis as a medicinal herb. You can imagine the conversations - SweetSue and three curious, but uneducated in all things cannabis older women. :laughtwo: It's been interesting, to say the least. A pleasant walk along the river in near perfect weather didn't hurt either. I like these girls. :battingeyelashes:

On to the girls in my grow, shall we? Why not start in the veg tent?

image13336.jpeg

Yeah, the temps got nuts. I opened the tent around 11 AM or so to discover I'd turned the fan off and forgotten to turn it on again. Got a little warm in the tents this morning. Thankfully, no one's complaining.

A little bending and tucking on the Super Cheese (Day 43)

image13338.jpeg

and on Carnival as well. (Day 52)

image13339.jpeg

Bubba Kush (Day 56) gets to run wild.

image13340.jpeg

Off to the neighboring flowering tent.

image13342.jpeg

Off to the right we have Crossroads (Day 43) and Shiva Shanti ll (Day 36) to the back and Strawberry Blue (Day 57) to the front. On the left, CBD Critical Cure (Day 119, flip + 54, CATs + 22) to the back and CBD Critical Mass (Day 119, flip + 36, CATs + 7) in the center of the tent. I just now realized I have no picture of Zamaldelica mystery seed. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. :battingeyelashes:

image13343.jpeg

The Critical Cure is something to behold up close and personal.

image13344.jpeg

Good-sized, very dense buds, beginning to show Amber at the tips. She's getting close.

image13345.jpeg

image13346.jpeg

I keep hooking that one up and it keeps working free. :laughtwo:

image13347.jpeg

The Critical Mass is building denser buds with way more visible trichomes. Most of the Critical Cure's are packed in the buds, with little visible on the sugar leaves. Not so with the Critical Mass. Covered in trichomes.

image13348.jpeg

Dense, hard buds that remind me of Carnival. Very frosty. :slide:

image13349.jpeg

DDA2 has started to get significantly larger. Her sense of presence has grown to feel more solid now and she's beginning to pack on the flowers. I love watching this stage with this strain.

The attempt to clone the top of Carnival will be a fail tomorrow. I'm sure of it. I'll clean up and start again with the Strawberry Blue cuttings.

image13354.jpeg

Right after I took this picture a gust of wind blew them off the window sill.

image13355.jpeg

They now have a bright spot in the kitchen that catches the late afternoon sun.

image13356.jpeg

That's the tour for today guys. Thanks for stopping by. I have some pressing work to do in the study hall yet so I probably won't get out wandering tonight. I'll catch you tomorrow. :hugs:

You were spreading joy, right? Good. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

I spent a good deal of time today educating an anxious and desperate mother of a child challenged with seizures. It's heartbreaking what these parents have been subjected to. Her greatest concern was whether cannabinoids would harm him. Every other medication this young man has been given in his 13 years had dangerous side effects. I'd prefer that didn't make me so angry and that I channel it into learning more so I can direct her to greater understanding.

This is a highly qualified nurse, completely oblivious, for the most part, of the truth about cannabis, dealing with neurologists in a state that just went legal - a long and contentious battle, but one with this inevitable outcome - completely untrained , or apparently incurious enough, to the medicinal administration of cannabis in controlling seizures. They won't even discuss it, because their liscenses could be in jeopardy.

I suppose they figure they have two years to get prepared. We aren't willing to wait.

This bottle is a small amount of extra I made to have my daughter try. I'd like to offer her some options. The terpene retention of this tincture is impressive. This is my first time making one, and as such my first time doing one in the freezer. I'm going to try one with Dark Devil Auto.

The plan is to try this likely too-weak dose of approx. 5mg cannabinoids per ml tincture at a 2:1 CBD:THC ratio to see if there's any noticeable change at all. Cannabis is so individually tolerated that you have to start low anyway, but she and I both know this ratio of 2:1 isn't what we believe would be optimal, so we'll be ordering some seeds of Critical Therapy, rated at 20:1. I'm hoping to locate a strain at 4:1 or thereabouts. Not everyone responds to a low dose THC and if that's the case here I don't want us to have to wait another cycle.

This helps define my goal when deciding what seed to drop next. Working on getting the perpetual to fall into that sweet-spot rhythm.

My medicinal stores are becoming more diversified. A cream for this mild psoriasis along the eyebrows might be a nice next project. Take care of Susan every once in a while. :laughtwo:

Oh how I wish you were in Washington SweetSue! I could give you the biggest diversity of ratio's from 24:1, 10:1, 6:1, 4:1.

*With that said... if you're moving to a State for medical... Washington is not your state I'm afraid!

Isn't that sad? Money won out and patients pay the price. Pathetic.

What strains would you suggest Growlow? Even if I do small pots of a variety, it'd give me options to try with him, and with others. I like the idea of diversity.

Unfortunately they are all either clone only cuts or ones that I have bred myself

:laughtwo: OK, I should have known that. It's late and I'm tired. I need a good buzz and OMG, I forgot to bake my brownies!!!

:laughtwo:
Hope the brownies made it into the oven!
Happy to see the DD is looking so good, after a sad little start things really are starting to look up. Also wow that critical cure color me impressed. They all really do look so much happier with a little more space too!

Good morning RheinRover. :hugs: They not only made it into the oven, I finally got them wrapped.

Ahhhh....... breakfast. :battingeyelashes:

Thanks for the compliments. It's turning out to be a decent grow.

I'm gonna try to make myself sleep now. :ciao:

I think it's been a week since my last brownie batch? Yeah.... I doubled this morning's dose. Getting ready to run down the block for some lemons for my "fat-buster tea". (Yes, I did say that Lol!) I am sooooo high right now, this should be fun. :laughtwo:

It's a picture-perfect day in the Burgh. I understand the Penguins have an opportunity to take the prize tonight. Wish I had access to cable for this one.

You all have a splendid day. Joy. Far and wide. You know the drill. :battingeyelashes:

By the way, this crazy tea appears to be working. I'll be discussing this further sometime this week on my Callanetics thread. Interesting concept.

Do you mind sharing your fat buster tea recipe?

Morning Sue! I hope you got some rest. I'm thinking I'll need to take a wee nap at some point today last night was a long and late one!

Silver Thiosulfate or Colloidal Silver. Make some fem seeds of the clone only my friend.

Ahead of you my mate! I had lost the clone only cuts and just got them back in my garden. The Charlottes web and AC/DC both have a future of feminization on the cards! Everything else is in regular seed form. All stabilized and in IBL form.

Late Edit: I meant to add.. great advice mate. If I hadn't known, its certainly some life saving advice for someone with a serious health condition!

I'm wearing my pengion shirt today

Top of the day to ya Sue...brownies look yummy girl! Pleasant thoughts and good vibes on the way....have an awesome night!:Namaste:

Thank you Duggan. Rough day. Been having terrifying flashbacks to events leading up to Dale's death. Haven't been able to find the right...... anything to stop it. I just realized I have some excellent anxiety meds on hand. The daughter certainly won't mind if I use some of her reserve stock of Med GOM 1.0.

I've never tried this treatment, but what I'm feeling today seems like it'd be close to PTSD. Not sure what triggered it, but maybe this strain will slow it down. Wish I'd thought of this hours ago. Geez, this takes so much energy to overcome. Let me take a few hits and see how it goes.

Two hits from the water pipe and two small drops of the tincture and I have a completely different mindset. I'm surprised, actually. I don't know what I was expecting, but the dark cloud that's chased me all day evaporated in a blink.

Amazing. If I hadn't been going through that episode I wouldn't have thought about trying the CBD strain and I'd not be aware of how efficiently and effectively it modulates depression and anxiety. This is exciting!

Almost missed this Canna. You have an active thread. Ever miss someone? I do that all the time. There are moments when we cross post. I always try to remember to backtrack the day before I go to bed.

I never log off. None of you are really surprised by that admission, are you? :laughtwo:

I'll post it later this evening on the Callanetics thread and give you a head's up.

It's such a blessing to feel normal again. It's been a real struggle all day to simply stop crying. Right now, that's the furthest thing from my mind. I put some music on a couple of minutes ago, something I typically do right out of bed in the morning.

It's like someone turned on a light. Totally different mindset from merely minutes ago. I think we're overlooking something valuable here by focusing on THC.

How is this illegal?
