The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Now they will misbehave and go wonky time lol. It's like when the windshield wipers match the beat of a song for just a few seconds then they are all weird again. Have a great Saturday Sue. Made dry ice kief, then soaked it in ethanol, then dried it in a water bath. Currently mind blown. Shatter. A little contaminated with chlorophyll but I didn't take time to freeze the ethanol or buds like I normally do.

What'd you make it with? Anything in particular or mixed bag? I kinda like mixed bag. It's like bag seed plants and how they always turn out to be the darkest thing in the tent. :laughtwo:

I'm a bit overboard myself today. Three brownie doses this morning instead of one. It's Saturday. Why not? When I'm this high two distinct things happen, 1) I laugh at almost everything, and 2) I ooze love. :laughtwo: It's a shame I still live alone. Lol!

Don't you feel blessed to be able to live like this? It wasn't that long ago the cost of purchasing minimal amounts of substandard cannabis was putting tremendous stress on my family finances. The freedom from that alone makes every cent I spend on my gardens worth it. Now I stay evenly medicated with the option to take it beyond my baseline level any time I desire. This should be the option for everyone. I'd certainly like to see that happen in my lifetime.

Daily Update: Tiny Closet, Saturday, May 21, 2016

I've reached the point where I'll be taking too many pictures to post as a unit, so today we split the grow spaces up.

Carnival now stands proudly at 8". Quite the vigorous specimen, she'll have you know. It's like she's the aristocracy here. :laughtwo:

image12466.jpeg

What exquisite lines and glossy color.

The DDA2 (Day 39) She got a coconut/aloe drench today.

image12469.jpeg

The lower branches are indeed catching up. I'll be able to let her loose sometime soon.

image12470.jpeg

She's developing nicely. I'm pleased. :battingeyelashes:

Next up, the veg tent. :ciao:

It was an agent orange (number 9) that I pulled down first harvest for starting to herm. And the X 6 sativa monstrosity. So the herb was a few months old still hanging up in my drying/curing room. Still a nicely busy up buzz even after sitting all that time unjarred. I like this method and will repeat it once I get my varying grade bags. The bag I used was a 220um bag from the magical butter machine. Next time I ant to do 160/120/90 and get some different grades.

This method is great because you still could make butter with the dried leaf and bud, and using ethanol to dissolve the kief you only use a very little bit of ethanol.

Morning love!

Back to your wick question and how to put it out:

I'm a two hoot (bowls) kinda guy. Meaning I need two hoots to make my day. I've recently learned that I can leave the wick lit and up right and it burns slowly like a candle. So I leave it lit and tend to my second bowl duties while its lit. Then go at it again.

When I first purchased the stuff I found it a bit cumbersome to light with a lighter then light the bowl then put it out. There's nothing worse than filling your lungs up with a large hoot and then panic as you hang onto the glass bong with one hand and the burning ball of wax in the other. It can be a bit crazy at times but I just light my bowl and leave it lit until I come back down from my special place and can extinguish it properly.

:Love::hugs::Love:

It did take some getting used to. Now it's second nature.

Did you use dry ice, Shiggity?

Daily Update: Veg Tent, Saturday, May 21, 2016

I pulled everyone out for drenches. All of the LOS pots got a coconut water/aloe juice drench. It was a good day to check the SWICKs and make sure the water levels are right. I found out they were rediculously low. I'm keeping my eyes open for a suitable basin to sit both pots on that'll give me better access. These basins are too snug for my taste. If I'm a bit more attentive they'll do, but I need to remember that the community pot's going to begin sucking up copious amounts any time now. My ability to control the SWICK reservoir under this pot will be a big factor in pulling off a decent harvest in this crowded piece of real estate.

Starting with Super Cheese (Day 25).

The Community pot

Crossroads (Day 25) What a bushy plant. This is one of the heartiest specimens I've come up against, and I'll have two in this pot. Wow! This is going to be spectacular. Look at this one!

image12503.jpeg

image12504.jpeg

Tucked off to the side is Shiva Shanti ll (Day 18), looking quite healthy herself, despite her companion trying to usurp all the space.

image12505.jpeg

She's starting to look interesting inside too.

image12506.jpeg

Crossroads 2 (Day 19), right on the verge of her own growth spurt.

image12507.jpeg

image12508.jpeg

The leaves laying off to the side of Crossroads 2 were trimmed from the big Crossroads. It was necessary to open up some breathing space for Shiva Shanti ll.

image12509.jpeg

Strawberry Blue (Day 39) I believe this is the first time I've shown off her natural color. Sweet, eh? This is the strain that fired up the libido. Keep growing baby. :laughtwo:

Bubba Kush (Day 38) just came out for pictures under better light. :battingeyelashes:

Everyone back, all snug in their spots.

The flowering tent is next. Give me a minute. :laughtwo:

Daily Update: Flowering Tent, Saturday, May 21, 2026

It was a drench day deluxe, and that meant the CBD Cousins got their TransWater drenches too.

CBD Critical Cure ( Day 101, flip + 36, second CAT + 4)

I looked at this one and thought "Graytail will be so proud." :laughtwo:

CBD Critical Mass (Day 101, flip + 18) also got her Recharge top dressing.

She gets her CAT this next week. In about five days. You see she's an eager one. :laughtwo: I think this one's going to surprise me.

Definately the CAT next week. :slide:

Zamaldelica (Day 5)

image12495.jpeg

Waaaay too leggy for my taste. I'm tempted to let this one go just as is and see what happens. This is a mystery seed, in that it fell out of a bud of Zamaldelica that was obviously fertilized by an unknown father, so it's an experiment from the get-go.

image12496.jpeg

image12497.jpeg

That's my babies today. I hope we increased your quota of joy by simply visiting. Now get out there and increase it further by sharing it at every opportunity. :laughtwo:

They're getting to to be more exciting now. I love opening the tents up in the morning to be surprised at the growth overnight. After the creep of seedling stage veg feels almost frenetic. Someday I want a field of plants to care for. Not a massive field, just a bitty one, out under the elements. I think I'll move heaven and earth for that vision. It felt like I should already be there when I typed that. Interesting. Possibly a prescient moment? If so, I heartily accept that one. Lol!

I love it. I can spend so much time out there and not even realize it. I think 100 plants in flower and 100 in veg would be the sweet spot. I say it brings you back in touch with nature, I guess you could say.

Since you like pretty pictures

Thank you so much SN. I'm so touched. :battingeyelashes:

The mods will pull it because it's off topic, so I moved it to my off topic Spot thread. That way I get to continue to appreciate it.

Green Flower Media has a seminar running on line (google them) that deals with building a cannabis business. I missed the early hours, but they're running 'till 5 PST and have another day that runs tomorrow starting at 9AM PST.

If you ever want someone to bounce questions off of I have started up more than a dozen collectives and at least a half a dozen recreational outfits. It's not what I consider work but getting paid for something I would pay to do haha. I've done all the business side of things as well not just the physical set up. Manuals for employees etc :)

Oh and btw have a fantastic weekend Sue :) :Namaste:

OK guys, let's talk a minute. While watching the seminar there was discussion that included reference to an article on the proper way to inhale cannabis and the surprise that most of us have been doing it wrong most of our lives. I went looking for the article and came across it over at Green Flower Media.

So let me ask the gathering....... How many of you hold your hit as long as you can? Yep, me too. As long as I've smoked that was the challenge. How incredibly misguided.

After reading the explaination of how the lungs are structured and the speed with which THC is absorbed - that would be almost instantaneously - I found myself wondering how, as an educator, this had never occurred to me. If the cannabinoids are absorbed that quickly there's no reason to hold your breath.

So stop doing that. Right now please. Be kind to your lungs. You're still going to get all your meds, and you're still going to get high.

Do yourself a favor though, and wait a minute before you take that next hit or vape pull. It takes about that long for the THC to get into the brain and start attaching. Might as well let them do their thing and see if maybe that was enough.

I know, I've always just kept smoking until I got to the edge and slipped over into free fall. When I think of all the money and cannabis I wasted over the years it's chilling. I'm going to explore this new smoking paradigm. Maybe some of you will do the same. The thrifty Scot in me will be happier with this decision. :laughtwo:

Just 'cause I care about you. :battingeyelashes:

Now I can go to bed. Good night.

Please help me spread this message as widely as we can on site. Thanks.

About 6 months ago my buddy told me that only hold it in for 3 seconds. After that you are not achieving anything. He is not a Dr by any means but he said something along the lines of your lungs can only absorb so much. Who knows...but I'm glad you enjoyed that joint last night Sue. :thumb:

Make 3/4 of the pull meds and the final 1/4 clean air to push the meds down into the recesses of the lung tissue folds. Then exhale. I like that 3 seconds. It's going to be a hard habit to break. I had to laugh last night at how challenging it was to eliminate the holding of the breath. I've been smoking like that for over 41 years.

Well, I dropped copies of the post on all eight threads I maintain. Whew! No wonder I don't have time to run around. Finally time to jump in the shower. I keep trying to avoid picking up the iPad first thing. Yeah, I know, lost cause. :laughtwo:
