The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

$5k Nismo? Man oh man. I stopped counting after $2k. You guys will be growing lots and lots of fine ass dank. FYI, an ounce here, from my guy, is $200. I paid $400 an ounce in Texas. Hope you guys had a good weekend. You certainly did accomplish a lot in your rooms.

I can happily report that I haven't purchased any street drugs since December, 2014 when Dale and I bought the bag for New Years that I still have the seeds from. :yahoo:

We purchased one $25 bag every day, for over two decades. He'd fight to get that bit of money every day and I'd make the run to our supplier if he couldn't get to us. I have memories of walking a mile on ice to get his daily dose. I used to be concerned about his "addiction". Now I know it was necessary medication. He struggled with the same anxiety our daughter lives with but no one thought to have it diagnosed. I just always knew instinctively that it was something I shouldn't fight against, so I worked really hard to not nag or complain about it, a technique that might not work in someone else's home. The truth is that this method of medicating kept him level, but kept us in poverty.

All that struggle, all that financial risk and pain we dealt with that could have been avoided by simply allowing us to grow our own holistic medication in a country founded on the idea of personal responsibility and freedom. Let's evolve already. The country's ready for it. We're halfway there now with Louisanna. Maybe we can begin to really hope.

Is there any feeling more wonderful than sticking your nose into the grow spaces first thing in the morning? :battingeyelashes:

I'm thinking its time to move Carnival into the veg tent under the Advanced panel. She's starting to shoot up, which means she'll be topped soon. I can slip her in next to Bubba Kush.

What do you think Graytail? She's liking that CFL array, but I think the spectrums from the Advanced would penetrate deeper.

I've heard of people paying that much and that's crazy!! I think it's ludicrous how much people pay for their medication. How come we pay so much?? And things like oxycodine and methadone are covered?!?! Haha so crazy this world is!

In regards to solar panels: I don't even care how long it takes to pay it off. I'd rather part with a chunk of money up front and then never pay a monthly bill again. It's hard to tell where my families financial status will be month to month. So, to eliminate the monthly bill would be worth it for a few extra dollars

:passitleft:

One of the sweetest things is that when your panels produce more than you need it feeds into the grid and they end up paying you. :battingeyelashes:

$25 a day Sue. Holy shit!! I bet it wasn't even good weed. That sucks Ass. $700 a month?? Damn damn damn.

As someone from the south, Louisiana is a long way from being where you want to be. Last in education, most prisoners, child poverty rates through the roof, teenage pregnancy is rampant. But there are some rich white dudes there making some serious money on the backs of the poor. Yay Louisiana!! Lol

Oklahoma beats them out with teen pregnancies. Bible Belt mentality that wants to believe teens can say "no" to their raging hormones.

It scared the beejeezers out of me to think of how much we spent over those years. No one missed a meal, all meals were balanced and nutritious. No one went without functional and presentable clothing, although wanting the latest fashion was smiled upon and I encouraged them to grow and get jobs so they could satisfy their desires in those areas. We never lacked the essentials, but forking out over $700 a month from an already over stressed budget meant the children got no vacations and very few presents growing up. There were very few extra treats in our home, but there was an abundance of loving going on.

I don't believe our son, who at some level holds this against me, understands the depth of his father's mental illness. Since he chooses to have nothing to do with his mother anymore there's no way to explain it to him. How tragic that he chooses to leave that memory tarnished.

I lost my mother at 21. I lost my brother at 15 before that. When she died, I had nobody else to turn to in my life but myself. I wish I could talk to your son to express what I would give to be able to hear my mothers voice just one more time. That's my message to anyone who still has their mother in their life but takes her for granted. Hug your mom, people. Tell her you love her. If you didn't have her in your life you would do anything just to do those things.

Good afternoon sue! :passitleft:

Hope the girls are doing great and am curious if the carnival made her move under the LED. Just curious if you did a review on the Advanced light you are using. As you may know we are in the market and are not brand loyal at this point. Tons of people use Mars, so just looking for an opinion on another brand. One of 420s sponsors is amare, also curious if you know of anyone using their lights. They look bad to the bone. Have a great day!

Doc Bud uses them. I believe Duggan has one as well. Graytail loves his. What I like most about mine is the right nodes. I love this light. I haven't done an official review of it, but I can say if you have the funds I'd grab one. Graytail calls it his workhorse panel.

I have three fabulous lights running here and any one of them would be a great addition. If I had to pick one I'd be hard pressed to make that choice.

Versai uses Amare. He grows some nice nugs.

Changes

Took a nice walk to the local Lowe's while we had sunlight :battingeyelashes: and brought home some non-cannabis additions to the garden.

Now to get them potted up. I may just keep them inside. This specimen of lavender will have to go outside to survive. Somewhere I remember seeing one that was bred for indoors. I'll have to track one down on line. I'd really like to keep one in a grow space.

Carnival went into the veg tent under the Advanced panel.

*contented sigh*

Wow! It looks like I may have learned to manage my tent space better this time. :laughtwo: If I'm not careful you guys are going to expect me to know what I'm doing. Haha!

Canna Montana inspired me.

Trimmings packed into 91% ISO. For topical pain relief. Shake every time you think of it. I still have to find out how long to leave it before testing, but I'm figuring two months, the same time I'm doing the tincture for. I'll keep them together for simplicity's sake. That way I won't forget them. :laughtwo:

:bravo: Well done Sue! I had forgotten about an Ounce of Live rosin from a Micky Kush harvest I had left in the freezer over a year ago. Found it a month ago and I kinda wanted to kick myself for forgetting about it but was overwhelmed by the pure joy of finding it unexpectedly. Hope you are in good health today Sue! :Namaste:

Well, that's quite a find Growlow. :laughtwo: Good job and enjoy. Lol! I'm trying to imagine a time in the future where I could misplace an ounce of rosin. It's like finding treasure.

I left a little surprise for you in my most recent of updates btw SweetSue!

That was very sweet of you Growlow. Now we know what a separation funnel does and how to purify polluted concentrates. Very timely information. :battingeyelashes:

This morning I turned my trim leaves into a small pile of dry-sift hash. :slide:

image12642.jpeg

I learned my lesson from my first attempt. This is all prime trichomes, no plant material.

I'm kinda proud of myself. I've learned to make a topical pain reliever, CCO, shatter, dry-sift hash and tincture, all within the past two months, and I've only started. Gardening is so much fun. :laughtwo:

It's been wonderful to watch and learn as well! Hope you have a great day Sue! :hugs:

So much good news going on around here! Love seeing you learning all of these new techniques. Ever since seeing your last DD under the timber light I have really wanted to upgrade. So thats my main reason for coming over so late today, I have been researching how to make my own light. A good friend of mine is real good with LED's and he said he would help me build one. Hope to have something put together before my autumn grow.
Also happy to hear that the smaller puffs are working out for you. I notice after awhile it just becomes second nature.

Timber supports the DIY attitude and sells the component parts. Is this what you're planning? I'm assuming a larger panel? You can't hear me giggling with glee that you'll get to experience this wonderful lighting. From where I'm sitting it creates this lovely sunny corner in my living room that's added so much ambiance to my space. I realize you won't be growing yours like a house plant the way I insist on doing :laughtwo: but your plants would be sucking up this delicious mix of spectrums that feels so much like outdoors.
