The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

{"""Welcome morningwood. Good to have you join the discussion. Any chance I could get you to post some pictures of how you set that up?

Tacking is our word for a method of delivering concentrated cannabis oil (CCO) to the system without euphoric effects, placing a small bit of CCO inside the mouth, on the gums below the front lower teeth. It allows the patient to get the profound benefits of additional cannabinoids into the system to aid the Endocannabinoid System in aggressive healing without getting high. It's a treatment method developed and popularized by our fallen warrior 420Motoco, who passed away suddenly late last month.

At the bottom of my signature line you'll find a list of links dealing with CCO. The Tacking dosing tutorial is among those links. """}.............. SUE when I first came to this site it was all about recreation.as I started to read the many forums and such, and started to read about all the diffront use's of this magical plant I love..i started rec smoking in the 70's and have always loved life with my weed.ive grew on and off outdoors since I was a kid..(many years ago).I have to be truthful before coming to this site I seen all the stuff on tv ect. on medical mj and truly thought it was a bunch of bull even as I really enjoy recreational smoke.but as I have read many days on here I now am a true believer of the medical side of pot..this is truly amazing..i am on my first indoor grow and doing rather well I say thanks to all of you I have been following on here, but growing for my own fun...but now its time to experiment with the medical side of this "DRUG".and pass the word of my new learnings of medical mj.like I said above I always thought it was bull sh,till now..thank you all for this new education im getting and my next grow will be oriented toward the medical..my wife was in a auto wreck last year messed her up pretty good..still lots of pain, she and I both don't like how she is on the legal pain meds.this may be a new way of life for all..again thank all of you for this awakening of the medical part of this weed my wife and I have enjoyed recreationally all theses years.now back to learning..sorry about my hillbilly spelling and stuff

about the picture of side by side tents..im not able to do the picture thing right now as my phone is fcked.but when you get the tents set them up side by side, the side vent holes line right up.just connect them vent holes with a short piece of duct..intake on one side of first tent, exhaust on second tent youll see after you get them set up . mine works great

lexort, that was extraordinary. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. At the bottom of my signature line is a link to Information resources, which is really my blog, now strongly influenced by CCO and related issues. There's a blog post there on making a concentrated olive oil infused with fresh buds. The process saves more of the monoterpenes, which degrade tremendously in the first week of drying. It makes an excellent, healing edible oil that can be used to great effect as a topical. A good read.

Exactly what I was looking for.
I have been going through your blog. Thanks again :-)

Edit: happy as a duck, I didnt know you could sub to a blog. Subb up!

Good Morning everyone.

Slept like a baby last night, all six hours of it. :laughtwo: Surprisingly, I feel less rested with six hours than I do with four. Something about aging well makes you, or at least me, require less sleep. Fourteen days and counting.

Before I get on with the business of checking in on some favorite threads I wanted to remind you of our mission to spread joy at every opportunity. Take a moment today to watch some children at play and do your best to incorporate that delightful creativity into your day. Oh yes, if you can, reach for someone right now and wrap them up in a hug. Hugs are a healing force like no other. I'm isolated here, so I'm more attuned to this valuable resource. For those of you without someone to hold, I offer this somewhat insubstantial emoticon, infused with all the love and joy I can pack into it. Just hold on a bit longer and let yourself feel the love coming through.

:hugs:

Better? Good. :battingeyelashes: Now, get out there and spread that joy. :laughtwo:

I must confess, though I have been diligently reading every page as it unfolds, sometimes I feel like a janitor working for NASA. You guys are some smart stoners! Sometimes I just want to look at pictures and jump around with flailing arms like a monkey.
Then you offer hugs...monkey like hugs.
What a unique group. Peace to everyone.

That's what makes :420: such an interesting place. Sue's garden tends to draw the most bee's!!! Great flowers make for great honey!!! :circle-of-love::peace:

Let me start be saying how sorry I am to hear of your wife's pain and to follow that up with the assurance that you can certainly help alleviate her discomfort with cannabis, and most particularly with edibles and CCO. Edibles work on a deeper level and give a much longer hang time, so if you can, I'd go with them. The olive oil extract is something you could do immediately upon harvesting and harness the potential of those most valuable terpenes. It makes an amazingly effective topical that could bring her immediate relief and cut the dependence on the damned opiates. Yes, they help, but at such a cost to the system. PsyCro recounts a story of a friend who uses that oil to prepare his legs for mountain biking. It's very potent medication and the chief advantage in your wife's case would be the immediacy of availability. No need to wait the month or so to dry and cure.

I came here because I knew my husband was going to die long before I'd be ready for that to happen and I was determined to let him spend the last days of his life blazed. I thought of it as recreational, pure and simple. When I discovered the truth about the curative powers of cannabis it frustrated me to no end. I still struggle with thoughts of what might have been. I have a policy of accepting that all things happen in their own time so I work through those challenging moments, but they fuel my passion to spread the word as far and wide as I can. This site and that message have become the driving passion in my life.

I had no problem understanding every word you wrote. Communication is about much more than proper spelling. :battingeyelashes:

So if I get you right I need a fan that pulls the air from the tent #1 into tent #2 and then let the big fan exhaust? No need for a filter in the first tent? This is outside my pay grade yet, but I'm a quick study. Once I get home and get the tents up I'm sure it'll click. Thanks, and good luck with the phone. Exasperation you really don't need, eh?

Sue. The way I run my fan is like this. Hang your filters in each tent. Run you duct hose out of the tent to the top of your "T". Run the other duct hose to the other side of the "T". The bottom of the "T" goes to the intake on your fan. Run the output of your fan where ever you need to the vent the air too. When I was in my basement, I just vented into the room. My new closet was too small and got too hot so I ran the vent hose through the ceiling into the attic. Hope this helps. :peace:

I didn't realize that either. :laughtwo:

You are too cool sue ;) i like the way you think :circle-of-love:

Why thank you Nicholas. I like the way you think too. I wish I had the time to hang around everyone's yard the way I used to before I found myself knee deep in mmj work and trying to cover all those threads I keep starting. Yours was always one of my favorite stops.

:laughtwo: Thank you for the compliment. Hugs are so important to mental, emotional and physical health. I've always been know for my hugs. No matter where I live or find myself, I get sought out for those hugs. It's nice to be able to toss them about here with such abandon. LOL!

Next step in the preparations complete. I've placed my order for supplies to accomplish my goals for processing my harvests into healing resources and essential oils to increase trichome production. Let's start with that tantalizing endeavor.

A while back Cajun shared with us one of the industry secrets utilized by dispensaries to increase trichome production and turn good product into great product that can be sold at a higher price. It's as simple as an application of essential oils, used to stress the plants and cause them to go into survival mode. Cannabis's chief survival technique is to increase trichomes. Isn't that just the most wonderful idea?

It breaks down to:
- The essential oils are a mix of cinnamon, clove, rosemary, thyme and oregano.
- Dilute at a rate of 1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) of mixed oils to a gallon of water.
- Use as a drench or foliar.
- Begin at week three of bloom.
- Apply every three days through to harvest.

That was the first part of the order.

I wanted cinnamon bark oil, but it appears there's a shortage of that and I haven't been able to find any, so cinnamon leaf it was. I'll be using this mixture as a drench. I'm too lazy to play with foliars yet. BB may change my mind with the inclusion of kelp foliars, and of course any of the plants being raised with Doc Bud's kit will have foliars done weekly. I guess I'm not so lazy after all. :laughtwo:

The second part of my order was supplies for making tinctures, creams, oils and the like. The prices were hard to resist.

I'm planning on experimenting with some cannabis-infused massage oil for my daughter. Her muscles in her back are like rocks by now and her neck muscles are tight enough that they had to go to steroids to reduce inflammation, one of the chief immediate benefits of CCO used as a topical. Thankfully the girl's blessed with a mother trained in Swedish Massage Technique. If I can whip up a small batch of CCO with my current inventory I can mix it with the grape seed oil and get her some holistic relief.

Time for a walk to the store. I'm out of Greek yogurt and sweet potatoes. That's worth the 2 mile walk right there. Then I need to get back to writing about how CCO kills cancer cells for the blog. Geez, I love what I do. :cheesygrinsmiley:

My wife will bring infused Coconut oil with her to the Chiropractor and he uses his ultrasound machine to blast it deep into the muscles. He says here back and shoulders loosen up better with that then anything else. :peace:

Good to know. I'm becoming more and more excited about the potentials of topicals.

make sure you have a variable speed fan with a rheostat style switch. you'll want to adjust the speed regardless of how many tents you hook up to it. there's a lot of fan choices too, but you won't find a better fan than the Fantech FG series. it's worth the money imo. i work in HVAC so i do have a little knowledge on the subject ;)

my A35 vent squid (heh) is powered by an FG8 model. 461cfm max. currently it is venting the 7x7 veg room with two exhaust pipes, but now that it has been converted to LED i'm taking it down to one vent. it also does the 4x8 flower room which is 1000w hps currently.. but will soon be upgraded to 1600w of hps and mh.
the speed is at about 50% and it sucks the sides of both tents in. it could easily vent two or three times as many tents of the same size and probably still not be on full speed lol.
FG8.JPG

it's still evolving lol. eventually, it will all be hard piped and i'll have an 8x4x4 wye built for it instead of all the patchwork lol. it's also destined to hang from the ceiling so i can quit tripping over it.

Well, now I know who to call on when I get started working out the particulars. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

I have a 6" Ostberg with a variable speed control.

lexort,
Thanks for the input. Several things are coming together here. Of course she would have low a magnesium level. She is a well controlled diabetic where it comes to insulin levels. However, edema (Sp) and neuropathy are serious. I think I will opt for the pump spray version at Amazon unless someone has other input.

I keep a few bars of cbd chocolate that she still uses occasionally. Mix and match. I love medical experiments.

Sue,
I need to do some catching up on why there would be less of a 'high' with tacking. If so then why would Sativa and India strains differ when tacking?

My first thought would be that tacking and oil based sprays would both be a more direct and faster acting. I can understand the lack of a rush because of the long absorption time of the thick oil but not the lack of a high. The compounds have to get into the blood before they cross the blood brain barrier. (Now I am interested in trans-dermal.)

I had forgotten, the tincture I made with the high thc was mixed with coffee or an alcohol drink while the store bought cbd is intended to be kept in the mouth and absorbed.

I never know

When I had my tents in the basement, I tried the fan attached to the ceiling. You could hear (and feel) the hum of the fan through the old pine floors. I put it back on the floor and it was not noticeable. :peace:
