The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Thanks! Glad you didn't go with the other half of that quote! :laughtwo: If you've not heard it; "great minds think alike, but small ones seldom differ".

Haha! Thanks for the laugh. :laughtwo:

You're more than welcome to join the group of happy cultivator's who mix it up here gyftobill. Good to see you. Make yourself at home. Don't feel so bad about mistaking her for a man. Women often keep their identities covered on forums. Believe it or not, most forums aren't as open as ours and women are often treated with disrespect. Around here it quickly becomes obvious that this is a safe zone.

WORD. I'm really cautious about revealing my gender on new sites because some places are toxic towards women just because they're women. They're usually the places that are toxic towards ANYONE who's not in the inner circle, of course, so anyone who is new or different or perceived as "less than" gets piled on. That's bullshit. There are lots of reasons I suck as a grower, but my gender isn't one of them :)

And I, personally, like being called "dude" or "man" or "guy" or whatever anyone may call me affectionately. Doesn't ruffle my feathers --which are a bit bedraggled today :)

Peace out!

Before I made my way to this site i had been on another forum and it sucked for just about anyone so I totally get what you mean by toxic to everyone. I may not know the struggles of being a woman but i do know the struggles of dealing with jerks

I do too. Actually, I also answer to Roofus (but that's a long story).

My family was all "boys rule, girls drool". I don't handle toxic people well because of it, but it also means if you're getting picked on, I'll always back you up.

yes, it is brutal on some boards; the way some of the old guys treat the gals. It really is no different than in the working world though, a female without a doctorate has very little chance to achieve upper level management... whereas an MBA will suffice for male executives.
420mag is like a breath of fresh air, and one of the main reasons I decided to get active here.

Brings a tear to my eye, as a father of a 23 year old daughter...

Ok, bills have been paid, dog's been walked and I at least had oatmeal for breakfast, so I'm good for a while. Let me see what I can reason out with the seed order.

First consideration is how many plants do I think I can fit into the tents? If I use my method of putting the pots into crates, my preferred approach for the 7-10 gallon pots, I can get two of them in each tent and two into the tiny closet. That'll be it for the closet, because I only have a usable depth of 13", but the tents, being 2'3"sq. will allow enough room to get in at least one more pot, possibly a 7 gallon, and still leave space for youngsters coming up behind.

I went looking for the measurements on the crates and they come in at 10.5" x 13.7". The tents measure 27" x 27", so fitting three won't be a problem. It should give me just enough openness to avoid problems with good air movement.

That changes the dynamic of the grow by adding in two more strains. Before I go any further, let me throw this out for more experienced eyes to look over and tell me if I'm on the right track. I'll go do a bit of catching up while it sits for critiquing. But if I'm right I've just solved my problem of needing to grow for my edibles and recreational use as well as oil production.

I have no ego. I'd hope you all know that by now.

I know this is true..... I called GG bro like 20 times before I realized the gender..... I understand some folks could be judgemental.... especially when they get outgrown by a girl... you think it hurts their manhood lol...... I would never judge that way but I'm sure some do.... GG and especially sue and I have been close since out start on 420 and gender had nothing to do with any of it

The milk crates will splendidly get you in there. I am still waiting for the manufaturers to realize we would love some square fabric pots with square high saucers to match. 6-8" high straight walled saucers please! That would just make things so epic and easy.

:yahoo: This means Carnival goes into the mix. :slide: What a relief!!!

It's one of the wonderful things about this site. We encourage each other to excellence and celebrate the successes no matter what. Ego gets left at the gates.

So now I'm down to what will I be growing?

Photoflowering
xxxxxCBD Crew CBD Mango Hazexxxxxrejected
CBD Crew Nordle
Dinafem Critical Mass
Carnival

Autoflowering
CBD CrewCBD Med GOM 1.0
Paradise Auto Tutankhamon
Dark Devil Auto
Mephisto Genetics Fantasamo
To Be Determined (I'll pick something from my seed bank after I get home)

I've stared at it now for a few minutes and I think it's time to place the order.

Obviously I didn't look long enough. I picked up my phone to check something and it opened to a post by Cajun the other day where he specifically instructed not to go with a sativa for her. So the Mango Haze is out.

I sure would not go with a sativa for anxiety. I grow alot of Strawberry Cough & love it. But, it is a strong sativa. Good for depression, horrible for anxiety. Most ppl get anxiety from it when they were fine before!
I would go with a low THC/ high CBD at least for now.
The THC side of the road should be an indica, at least at first.

I know he appreciates it when I listen and then actually act on his advice. :battingeyelashes:

CBD Crew CBD Nordle Feminised Seeds Info
Nordle was the name given by Howard Marks to the finest Afghan Hashish when we was discussing drug deals over the phone. The strain Nordle from Mr Nice Seeds maintained the wonders of that hashish from the 1960’s in seed form. The CBD enriched version of this strain grows as a short, strong Christmas tree shaped plant. Its otherwise indica characteristics produce dence compact flowers. It is a fruity strain that gives off hints of freshly cut chives or wild garlic.

So you're all ordered up then?

My seeds got here today and now I'm just trying to decide what to germ, and who the heck in my area has a drill with 1/16th bit I can borrow haha!

Hi Sue, has your daughter used any cannabis she has been able to tolerate? Are you able to purchase tested cannabis to find something beneficial? I just worry about breeders seeds with different phenotypes and possible stability issues. If medical is available in your area talk to the caretakers, dispensaries, growers, and find something that works. From my experience, most people will give up a clone to someone truly in need of a specific strain. If medical is not available, Im sure you will find a way. PM me whenever you want my input or ideas, I honestly can't keep up with you right now. I'll try to catch up when I can of course. Love ya Sue!

No medical, no dispensaries and no one to call on for assistance other than right here 36. We're going to have to wing it. I'm purposely choosing very low THC levels, so I'm hoping that will be enough caution.

She's tried some of my harvests and we thought she was ok, but I trend to high sativa dominance in my own choices, and we discovered she can't handle it well. It helped her sleep, but then she had that bad experience of a panic attack and we had to stop. She won't be smoking, vaping or ingesting. She'll be tacking. I'm confident it'll be ok, but we'll start low and watch carefully.

I hear you on keeping up. This one's running as fast as my previous journals. :laughtwo: I know how to reach you if I need you. Thanks.

Finally, the seed order is placed.

image6228.jpeg

I went with the CBD Crew's Critical Mass for its lower THC levels. I opted for single seeds because that's a lot of money to invest in something we're not certain she can tolerate.

Such a relief to get to this point.

I also ordered the oil-making supplies that can't be easily located at home.

image6229.jpeg

Next up, additional pots (one gallon size) and soil-building supplies. That can wait. I need a break from the screen and I haven't had anything to eat or drink for a couple hours. Time for some movement.

An unexpected development in being deprived of my regular dose of cannabanoids from my brownies is that the knees are getting touchy. This wasn't helped at all by the cold I caught last week that's kept me from exercising with Callanetics. I'd hoped to get a session in today but quite frankly I feel like another is trying to settle in, so I wisely chose to rest.

As soon as I get home I'm decarbing some Carnival and making a batch. I'll be home in 15 days.
