The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Pullin up my been bag... no pun injested... hahaha - Ummm Narco Purps is almost exactly the same as Dark Devil and is not low THC - might be a good one for Sue tho!! just sayin.

I just grew out CBD Lavender - not low THC either but will shoot anxiety in the foot and you will feel like you're laying in the clouds .. I mean literally too and a warm soft puffy cloud at that! I just trimmed up about 3 zips yesterday ... was feeling mighty relaxed for a good long while it was very nice.

Hey there SS - enjoy the warm weather cause guess what? Its FREAKING COLD here in PA (was 8F this am) and big ass snow storm coming Friday/Saturday YAY ME! X-country Skis are ready.... We will ski around the city Friday night in the street lights it's gonna be awesome.

I'm running autos this time BB, but I'll keep that CBD Lavender in mind for sure. The weather here is unusually cold, and has been since the day I arrived. It'll warm up here the day I leave. :laughtwo: Enjoy the cross-country skiing. I know how much you and the wife get a kick out of it. I'll be back in PA just in time to get hit with the coldest temperatures of the year.

Good grief! I'm gone for a few hours and there's another 3 pages - this after 5 pages early this morning! This journal is in the stretch. :cheesygrinsmiley:

sativa dominant

My last job, I used to take online courses because I was bored. Knowledge is power!
Well we are all just veggin' out! ::rofl:

Sue will fix it. She will get those CFLs REAL close and try to stop it. It may or may not work. Off to tack.:cco::peace:

 You guys are a hoot!!!! We do seem to be racing along already. Fill a room up this many happy souls that enjoy each other's company and we're bound to tear through the pages. I've accepted it. I embrace it. LOL!

Placed the order for the tents. :yahoo:

Now, for some food. I keep forgetting I need to eat too. Then on to strain choices.

I've been looking at tents and I believe I'm going with Mars-Hydro. I like the tent size, I'm fine with the price and I particularly like that they sponsor our wonderful site. Here's what I've chosen:

image6208.jpeg

For filtration needs I think two 4" Phresh filters, one for one of the tents (I can use the Can 33 in the other) and one for the tiny closet.

image6209.jpeg

Perfect setup. If the small closet is only for veg, you probably don't even need a filter in there since they won't smell. But I guess better safe than sorry if you got the funds.

This business of choosing seeds is tough. It's complicated by the fact that the breeders and seed banks haven't yet figured out that we're becoming as interested in the CBD content and the ratio of CBD/THC as we are THC content. I'm also making it more challenging by insisting on autos for this initial grow. I need high CBD, low THC for the daughter, and so far, after hours of researching I've narrowed her choices down to

CBD Med GOM Auto 1.0
Auto Tutankhamon (7-8% THC)

glimmergrass, I can't find the CBD Sugar GOM anywhere. If you have a link, I'd appreciate the share. :circle-of-love:

For myself:
Dark Devil Auto (of course :cheesygrinsmiley: )
Mephisto Genetics Sour Crack
Royal Seeds White Widow Auto

This is the hardest part of the grow for me. Researching the strains frustrates me. I know I need an Indica dominant for my nighttime tacking dose, but the problem is I don't care if I sleep, so I keep going for super sativa-dominant strains with extremely high THC ratios.

I'm tempted to do the closet and one tent with autos and the second tent with photos - Carnival (yum) and Tutankhamon (up to 22% THC - yeah!). I won't move until I have her established with tacking, so I'll have time to finish out the photos and by then I'll have a better idea on what my plans are for the year.

I can't see any more though, so. I need to stop looking. I think I've made my choices anyway.

These choices were a lot easier when all I needed was a strong sativa to get me righteously high. :laughtwo:

I thought about that and my reasoning was that when I would be running only autos they start blooming almost immediately.

I was shocked to find I could smell our first grow (all autoflowers) at or before 20 days from sprout. I expected it a week or two into flowering. Photos don't smell as soon?

Sue, those filters you selected are pre-filters, not odor control filters. They are for removing pollen, dust, and insects from air entering the tent. They do have some carbon felt that might remove a little odor but they are not packed activated carbon filters... Pretty sure that they are not what you're looking for.

I love you PeeJay. I haven't ordered them yet, it was a preliminary list that I hadn't looked closely at. I've been researching seeds all day until I was nearly blind. I did order the tent. I'll get into the search for filters later this evening. Can you offer any suggestions? Can anyone offer any suggestions? The closet measures 1'x2'x8'.

Thanks for catching that. :circle-of-love: Nice to see you. I knew there was someone I'd missed with the PMs I was sending out.

Funny but I have thought that very thing more than once while considering seed selections.

I know I have seen this here on :420: before, I don't remember who or where, But site sponsor Crop King Seeds has an interesting CBD chart that caught my eye. I am hesitant to confound your search but I leave it here if you need it. Sorry, to be clear, The CB dream and CB dutch treat are due to be released the end of the month, sorry too late for you.

Yeah, there's plenty of low THC/high CBD strains out there, but they're photos.
Are you dead set on not growing any photos? If not, CBD Crew alone has some great strains for her. What's another month or so?

I've been thinking about it all evening Cajun. I've talked it over with my daughter too. I can't leave her to relocate until I'm sure she's firmly on a healing path and has become comfortable with tacking and we've worked out supply considerations. That realistically means I'm not relocating until the end of the year or into next year. It's not like I have any pressing reason to move. It's more a drive for change, but what do I gain if I leave her too early? My life has to be more fluid than that.

Given that perspective, the short answer is no, I'm not dead set on running only autos. I do want to run some autos to get a head start on oil production, but if I use two of my spaces for autos that frees up one of the tents for photos. The rational and responsible thing to do is to make those CBD strains. If I approach it creatively I can get a nicely staggered schedule of both autos and photos and get a sweet rhythm going.

Sure, it'd be nice to run away, but I can't think of any point in my life where that was the decision I went with. I'm a caregiver by nature, and a damn good one at that. She's my baby. There's no other choice I can see. I'm by her side until ....... until I've gotten as clear a sign as possible that it's time for me to move on. I'll know it when it comes. I'll just build my relocation fund and help my baby heal herself.

There's going to be a small celebration in my community that I'm not going to cut and run. That's a lot of years of loving invested there. They weren't ready to see me just up and leave. It's just a postponement, and I know that, but I'm gonna live another thirty years, in all likelihood. I can afford to take my time.

Time to rethink the list. So mon ami, anything specific you'd recommend?

Thanks for the link keltic. Later will work, with my current change of heart. I can get them into the next run. Dinafem is testing a new batch of high CBD autos on another site that holds a lot of promise. It appears the breeders are beginning to catch on to the rising market demands.

Let me take a look at this link and another look at the CBD Crew list. i can't get to growing fast enough.

Welcome morningwood. :welcome: Good to have you join the discussion. Any chance I could get you to post some pictures of how you set that up?

Tacking is our word for a method of delivering concentrated cannabis oil (CCO) to the system without euphoric effects, placing a small bit of CCO inside the mouth, on the gums below the front lower teeth. It allows the patient to get the profound benefits of additional cannabinoids into the system to aid the Endocannabinoid System in aggressive healing without getting high. It's a treatment method developed and popularized by our fallen warrior 420Motoco, who passed away suddenly late last month.

At the bottom of my signature line you'll find a list of links dealing with CCO. The Tacking dosing tutorial is among those links.

CBD Mango Haze has exceeded the ranges of CBD to THC and CBD Crew have seen plants ranging from the prerequisite 1:1 ratio to as far as 1:2, THC to CBD.
The medical applications are immense and the potential to aid many issues of health are great, they are proud of the terpenoid content which they believe will be one of the most important future studies of their group for the benefit of the medical community in the future. When growing out larger plants the Haze heritage of this genetic means they will respond well to topping, super cropping and various other techniques that control height and yield. Despite smaller bud formation characteristic of Haze hybrids, this plant can yield very well and you would expect it to be between 450-600 grams per m2.
Reducing the lower branches during the early days of flowering will promote larger single or multiple colas, thus reducing manicuring work and handling. CBD Mango Haze flowering time will be between 8-11 weeks depending upon the phenotype. Haze hybrids are better suited to mould resistance and can be very appealing to the outdoor growers as well as indoor growers. Resin production is impressive and the extractions possible with this hybrid will be full flavoured and appealing to all. An excellent practical Sativa dominant CBD enriched plant that will be a joy for all who grows her.

A good candidate for an Indica-dominant photo for the daughter.
