I'm gonna beat three ounces on this one. :yahoo:

HARVEST: Dark Devil Auto: Day 89

Whew!!! She was gasping in the end! :laughtwo: She got her measure of gratitude from her loving cultivator before the first snip and with each successive snip until she was bare stalk.

image11898.jpeg

The day started with the choice of proper attire

image11901.jpeg

I donned the earbuds, pulled up Carole King's "Tapestry" (fabulous suggestion Rad - I can't express how perfect a choice that was for this harvest :hugs: ) and went to work. Trimmed off only that which lacked noticeable trichome stalks and set to work getting the budwashing in motion. In the end, this was all I trimmed off, minus the faded fans I removed yesterday, of course.

image11908.jpeg

Accidents. Really, accidents. :laughtwo:

image11907.jpeg

Arent they beautiful? Now THAT'S the bouquet my next husband can bring me on Valentine's Day. :battingeyelashes:

image11894.jpeg

My system: One cup of baking soda, one cup of lemon juice to five gallons of water. Mix thoroughly. Dip the entire branch to cover the flowers and gently swirl the branch through the water, being careful to avoid the sides of the bucket, for 15 - 30 seconds. With dense buds like these I try to keep agitating until I see no more air bubbles rising. Then I'm reasonably sure the baking soda and lemon juice have penetrated into the deepest recesses. These buds are dense as hell!!!

If necessary, I trim my branches down to accommodate the depth of the bucket. I don't wanna be banging against the bottom either. My intent is to gently coax the residue out of my buds and off the remaining leaves. I'd rather take more time to bud wash additional branches than to leave my resin floating in my wash water because I was too rough in my handling. Been there, done that. I learned my lesson. :battingeyelashes:

I continue swirling and swishing until I'm satisfied they're clean. Lift, drip, go on to the next two buckets of clear water and repeat the process. Hang to dry in a room with low light for the rest of the day. Move to the drying area and check on them once a day for the next four days to a week. Jar up and try to keep your hands out Susan!!!

image11895.jpeg

The size and density of these balls 'o bud are stunning!

image11911.jpeg

This is popcorn.

image11899.jpeg

image11896.jpeg

More popcorn. Yummy!! :slide:

image11900.jpeg

For the first day I hang them somewhere that offers low light. The plant's still conducting photosynthesis, so a little light helps that process continue for today.

image11909.jpeg

It's too heavy to hang from the bow. :laughtwo: A very good thing. It's just me here. They can hang in the kitchen doorway for the day. I have a closet in the bedroom I emptied out that they can hang and dry in. I'll move a small fan in to keep air moving in that dead air space.

Time for a celebratory buzz!!! Fantasmo Express with a side of Auto Jack Herer. Sounds like a plan. Thanks for sharing the joy with me.

:Love: :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: :Love:

:ciao:

Sue I can see you dancing with a long stemmed bud in your teeth! Happy harvest!

:slide:  It sure felt good to set her on the scale.

 :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

As a fellow cultivator of this marvelous strain you have a deeper understanding of the significance of a bountiful harvest. :laughtwo:

Those buds are amazing Sue!! I'm so happy with the way this plant turned out for you. Those nugs are huge!! So very happy for you. Do you make brownies with the DD or just smoke it? :hugs::hugs::hugs:

This batch will be made into oil, brownies and some will be kept aside for recreational enjoyment. The longer the cure the more hallucinogenic it's reputed to become. Oh yeah, some will be kept waaaaayyyyy aside. :laughtwo:

Impressive work Sue.

Enjoy

Thank you Canyon. I will. I still have some oil left to spike this with. I'll be sure to keep some out when I make the next bio bomb cottage cheese mix.

That DD plant turned out amazing - beautiful job Sue.

I have to give credit where credit is due. It's light that drives the grow, and I can't say enough about how happy I am with the quality of your Vero 240 and the end results of my grow. These are amazing buds of my favorite and signature strain. I'm beside myself with joy. This is the best harvest I've done yet of a Dark Devil Auto.

Thank you so much for your generosity in awarding this panel as part of the prize package for MOTY. I'm thankful that I was able to do you proud. :battingeyelashes:

looks like fun.
Harvest-O-rama.:goodjob:
:cheertwo:

Thanks keltic. *giggle*. Now I just have to let the "accidents" dry out enough to smoke. :laughtwo:

Holy cow those buds are huge! Congrats! Did you put her in darkness before she got the chop?

It's a dynamic strain nismo. That's why we're so addicted to growing them.

No, I don't put the SWICKed no-tills into darkness the way I would a free-standing pot. She's covered in frost as it is.

Nice crop there girl.

:slide::slide::party::party::yahoo::yahoo:

Thanks Jim. :slide:  :slide:

You share that excitement, knowing what's ahead for me. Hehe! It turned out much nicer than I thought. I'm fairly certain I'm well over two ounces, which was my hope. I'll take every blessed bit of her and be bubbling over with gratitude.

Daily Update: Wednesday, May 11, 2016

I have the Vero 240 hung in such a way that I can't lower it, and raising that pot and the reservoir are going to be a pain I'm not ready to tackle right now. I figure I can throw the DDA2 under a reflector of CFLs and she'll be fine like that until she's tall enough to be within a good growing distance from the light, or until I get motivated to lift it all up.

image11910.jpeg

Time to do something with these girls.

image11914.jpeg

But first, let's check out the rest of the brood, starting with the veg tent.

image11915.jpeg

Steady as she goes.

image11916.jpeg

A peek into the flowering tent.

image11917.jpeg

The Criticals are both at Day 89. Critical Cure, on the right, is now flip + 29 Days. Her first CAT drench is only days away. She's starting to fill out now.

image11918.jpeg

The CBD Critical Mass is now 8 days past flip and getting ready to burst forth in bloom.

image11919.jpeg

The clones are still holding at 9 days. I'm not even checking for roots for another week.

image11922.jpeg

Transplant time. :battingeyelashes:

image11923.jpeg

Carnival is back in the tiny closet under a reflector of CFLs.

image11924.jpeg

I'm going to try Bubba Kush in the tent under the LED and see what kind of difference I get in plant structure.

image11926.jpeg

While I'm in here I'll give the plants a little push to open up the new growth to light.

image11925.jpeg

Ahhhh..... Now I can relax for the rest of the day. Been at it nonstop since 8 AM. Everyone's happy, so I'm happy. I still haven't taken time to supplement the brownie I had for breakfast. :laughtwo:

So, we come to that part of the day when I encourage you to spread that joy, which creates a vibratory frequency that resonates throughout your body, which is, essentially, mostly water. Last night I found myself at 2:30 in the morning reviewing the works of Masaru Emoto photographing frozen water after influencing it with language. I'm convinced that this daily practice of consciously being joyful is a big part of the seemingly miraculous events that tumble through my life with great regularity. So keep it up. Be joyful with me. Play more. :laughtwo:

I'll be wandering happily stoned today, so I'm sure I'll be running into many of you. Harvest days are such happy times.

:Namaste:

What an eventful day for you Sue. I will be dropping some carnival seeds this week. Should be fun watching you grow it while I attempt to.

:yahoo: Alright Noob!!! :slide::slide:

That I am Duggan. I'll be sending positive thoughts and healing energy. Make some oil. Get ahead of it.

I can get away with this because I live alone. This hallway is the best place for drying. It's reasonably dark and has wonderful air movement. Suddenly I remembered I had these stands.

image11942.jpeg

I'm happier with that. I'd miss the smell if it were in a closet. This way I get to admire them all the time. So spoiled. :laughtwo:
