The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

That DD is swelling nicely. Great job in your tent. I noticed your Temps at 35°, is that a little high for LED lighting? It might help photosynthesis if Temps stay closer to 30°. Might help you pull more weight from your garden. Anyway, plants look happy.

Cheers

These pesky Americans and our different systems. :laughtwo: That's the humidity level Miller. The temperature in there is 88 degrees F.

Thanks so much for the timeine of your adventure. I enjoyed it immensely :)

Thank you Rad. It's funny, but without that post the day was lost to me. I was talking to my best friend after I posted and realized I couldn't remember what I'd done today. :laughtwo: Tomorrow I'll be more responsible and go with a dose of 125 mg. But now I know what the higher dose feels like. Dangerously, I really enjoyed it. I'll have to plan these little excursions. Lol!

Knock Knock! Hello there me old mate :) Thought I'd pop in and say G'day. Looks like I have a tad bit of catching up to do :) I hope to find you well SweetSue :)

Well hello stranger.  We keep bumping into each other at Graytail's. Yeah, my journals tend to go at a non-stop series of sprints. Hahaha! I hope all's well with you too, my friend. I can't remember the last time I got to your yard. Maintaining nine threads has begun to take all my time. Have you checked out the Study Hall yet? That kind of investigative air would appeal to you, I'd think.

Good job on the Jack Herer auto harvest. I sure hope you enjoy it as much as I love the photo-period JH. It is still my favorite.

I'm going to put some more into flower here real soon.

:goodjob:

Good morning Jim. I remember the first one I grew as being the smoothest smoke of everything I've grown, so I have high expectations. Next one I grow will be a photo. I want to taste that one. It's your favorite, and it's Reg's favorite. That's some pretty high recommendations, considering some of the strains you've both smoked. Sometime in the next year I'm going to try one.

Good Evening everyone.

Wow! The day got away from me there. Out with the daughter for her first of the month trip and time just flew past.

Good morning Sue! :circle-of-love:

Greetings to you Pinky. I hope the day's been a delightful journey. :circle-of-love:

Why am I just now finding this. And I thought I was good at stalking people on here. Lol! I am happy I found it though.

:laughtwo: So good to see you here Canna. In all fairness, you have tracked me down in other locations. I maintain nine threads. That's a lot of stalking. Lol!

Good morning Sue :hug::hug::hug:

Hello my favorite noob.:hug::hug: :kisstwo:

Something I forgot to share with you all about the harvest. Those of you who are smart enough to bud wash know trash accumulates on the surface of the water, particularly in that first bucket. In preparation for oil production I invested in an expensive fine screen strainer that I discovered was more of a bother than had been anticipated, so I don't intend to use it for that purpose. Yesterday I found the true purpose for that screen in my home.

It cleaned the water up like a dream. Worth every penny I spent.

Daily Update: Friday, April 29, 2016

All the LOS pots got the weekly aloe/coconut water drench, about 1/2 gal per pot, with extra for the shopping bag pot, since it doesn't have a SWICK reservoir under her. The seedlings in cups got a diluted TransWater drench. Dark Devil Auto got her next essential oil torture foliar.

That was pretty much it for gardening chores today. Let's take a peek in, shall we? Let's start off in the veg tent.

image11247.jpeg

I took all the leaves from yesterday's harvest and split them up for mulch. I still have the a couple more days before I transplant the Strawberry Blue into the empty pot. I'll probably do that Sunday. CBD Critical Mass is now 79 Days.

Super Cheese at Day 3. So tiny.

Into the flowering tent.

image11250.jpeg

CBD Critical Cure is at Day 79, and a full 14 days from flip.

image11251.jpeg

Crossroads is also 3 days old now and looking so teeny in this big tent next to that huge flowering plant.

image11253.jpeg

Since we're looking at seedlings, here's DDA2, at 17 days.

The other seedlings. Bubba Kush (Day 16), behind her is Carnival (Day 12) and Strawberry Blue (Day 17)

image11256.jpeg

I'm much happier with this tight node spacing.

The gorgeous Dark Devil Auto (Day 77)

Shes encrusted with trichomes.

Trichomes right out to the very tips of the leaves.

I transplanted some of the clover in the Dark Devil Auto 's pot into the pot waiting for Strawberry Blue. Let it get established a bit and then start spreading it out. At some point the shopping bag pot will also have some growing.

That's it for the girls. Thanks for popping in to visit. Maybe I'll get some time to wander this evening. I still have Callanetics to slot in, so maybe not until much later. I can hope. I'm starting to miss many of you.

I assume youre continuing on our quest to increase universal joy reserves? Good. Keep it up. I'll do my best from over here. :circle-of-love:

:Namaste:

Pretty colors... healthy plants... I can dig this room.

I'd pull the clover, but that's just me and too many years of fighting clover in my yard.

:laughtwo: I can appreciate that sentiment. It gets out of hand quickly in the pots if I don't keep up with it. It's an important part of the pot ecology. The plants offer hiding places for the worms, and you can chop and drop the clover onto the mulch layer. It slowly works its way back into the matrix. The plants also offer the soil surface protection from the light.

Interesting development today. Out with the daughter, we struck up a conversation about the cocktail of drugs being offered by her current psychiatrist. Her system doesn't tolerate these drugs well and she's fallen onto Vallium to help her deal with the stress. She and her partner are planning to move north of the city, the first time in her anxiety-driven life that she won't be able to walk to where I am. Her stress levels are through the roof, even as she makes me proud chasing down real estate listings and checking out bus routes and store access. She may be terrified but she's not going to let that stand in the way of building a better life with her partner.

Makes a mother proud. Makes a mother frustrated that she has the medication we all know will help her, just jarred last night and stored in my kitchen. I expressed this frustration and my daughter surprised me by deciding to give it a try. The Med GOM 1.0 is at least a 1:1 ratio, CBD:THC, and listed as potentially up to 2:1, so psychoactivity shouldn't be a concern. She was most concerned about being able to sleep without nightmares, so we planned on late night, right before bed.

At 12:30 tonight she came over and I loaded up the vaporizer. She took two hits and stopped right there, reasoning that if it's going to have any effect in her sensitive body, two hits was a good stopping point. So we talked for a couple minutes and waited. Within five minutes she could feel her fingertips again because the tension in her upper back released. She rolled her shoulders and was surprised at the range of motion she was able to accomplish.

Then she noticed that the niggling pain at the base of her left lung had vanished. Then almost like a "whoosh" she relaxed and almost cried from the relief of not being anxious. She chose laughter instead, and we laughed heartily. When she got up off the floor to go home she realized that the pain in her ankles had also vanished. She's home in bed now, hopefully on her way to a good night's sleep.

Two decent draws from the vaporizer and she left here more relaxed and in significantly less pain than she's been in many moons.

Her mother smoked right along with her. It has left me feeling a bit sleepy, so I think that's my cue to put the iPad down and head for the sheets. Tomorrow, my friends. This was a nice way to end my day. :battingeyelashes:

Just spreading the joy guys. :Namaste:

So... I smoke a touch of herb now and then.
One of the larger bonuses I appreciate about it... it suppresses dreaming.
Seems like your awesome young lady might be fearful for no reason.

Sweet story. Makin momma proud and takin care of biz... very nice. Make her some nicely dosed candy of some sort as an easy bed time treat... I prefer 'magical' gummy bears.

Sue, amazing news!! I'm so happy for your daughter, and I'm proud of you for being such a great mixologist. Yay!

Hi Tead! How do you make your Gummy bears? Are they injected, soaked? So many possibilities. I love Gummys. Lol

It's just a gelatin and sugar mix with oil thrown in. I've not made them myself, but I've enjoyed a few from a buddy that does it.
I'm sure there are some recipes out there for canna-bears. No doubt a check with big brother google will provide for you needs. Sorry I can't supply better info... I only know the fun with munching them.
He has a mold and makes ones about 3x the size of your standard variety.
