The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Those damn DD's just keep getting sexier.
So... While I like the LOS/NoTill kind of ideas.... I'm just not sure it would be such a good idea in my world. I see lots and lots of insect action all all the decaying material sure seems like a good home and food source for many different critters.
Just a random drive by thought.

A healthy living soil community, augmented with a consistent Integrated Pest Mannagement plan will resist the onslaught of most damaging insects. The biology in living soil evolved precisely to assist plants to grow and be healthy. Natural pest control was part of that evolutionary process.

You're pretty happy with your system Tead. You have it running smoothly now. They tell me the taste improves with LOS. I have no way to verify that, since this is all I've ever grown in, other than the kit soil, a variation on LOS.

:woohoo: I spent most of my day yesterday finishing up my oil-making project for my study hall.

I took it from 14 ounces of wash.....

..... to 3 grams of concentrated cannabis oil in less than four hours. Easy peasy.

image10926.jpeg

It was the simplest of processes, all documented over at the study hall. All neatly tucked away. I'll be trying it out as an edible this morning to see what the effect is on its own, but my plan is to bio bomb the whole mix and dose with capsules. Or make a salve. I'm excited about the possibilities.

I am officially an oiler. Whew! First batch out of the way.

Awesome points SS.
To be totally honest, I really wasn't thinking of the healthy plant resisting infestations naturally aspects.
While I don't use such techniques in hempy buckets, I sure do in my veggie garden and with my ornamentals.
It really reaches back to basic recycling ideas.

This was exactly the point where COorganic converted bobrown14 to LOS. You use organic gardening methods for your vegetable garden and many of us shop for organic foods. Why wouldn't you want your medication to be the same organic quality?

 I thought I posted this earlier today. Sorry guys. Just a little lost in the woods. :battingeyelashes:

Daily Update: Sunday, April 24, 2016

So let's take a quick look at how they were today. If I stay quiet I might get this posted in time.

We start with the veg tent. We're at Day 74 for everyone in the tents except the seedlings.

I coaxed another 2 grams of oil, albeit low-grade, from the waste from my first attempt yesterday. My thanks to Canyon for the encouragement to do this part of the experience. This gives me cannabinoids to experiment with. :battingeyelashes:

Well, I missed my goal of midnight, but not by much. Thanks for stopping. I'll see you all tomorrow.

:Namaste:

Did you ever watch that documentary "Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" ? Not saying you live in San Francisco - especially if you have red squirrels :)

I will have to add that to my list of must watch. They are a great at making this totally non tropical place feel a little bit warmer even if we did get snow yesterday... Snow on April 25 is not ok! lol

I've done with the morning, sat eating a chicken salad for my lunch. :hugs:  :hugs:

I'm just rolling out of bed. If I can pull myself away. :laughtwo: :hugs:  :hugs:

Chicken salad is what I'm planning for lunch today. Lol! I like mine with cranberries and almonds.

I have never been to a taco shop. Well, Taco Bell, but they don't really count, do they? Enjoy one for me. Let that headache go already. I used to train my daughter to think of them like clouds and let them drift away. Every once in a while that actually worked for her. :laughtwo:

I'll have to swing by and see your plant. Take a picture in the sunlight. :battingeyelashes:
