The Mega Crop Thread

I’ve used great white and I used mammoth pee. For the money I seen no benefit. I’ve hated away from most of that stuff. I believe a lot of it is a money trap lol. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure some works and well for people. Cost wise I just don’t see it.
Plant on the left did not get any great white and the one on the right did. Same strain. This is also true with my Jack Hammer. The ones that got Great white are 25% or more larger.

I've been using MC for 5 weeks on my vegging babies. They are ten weeks old. Every feeding I'm losing bottom fan leaves. They discolor turn brown and fall off. I'm at 5 1/2g per gallon. The rest of the plant looks good, although the leaves seem to be a tad small. They are crown royale from ck maybe they have small leaves. I use water from my tap.. heat in tent is around 80, rh is 35 -45.

What are you growing in and do you have some photos?

Why are you giving so much MC to vegging babies? Isn't the maximum recommended during veg 4g/gal? Pictures would help, but I am betting that you are seeing signs of toxicity.

The feeding calculator says 4.5g/gal for extended veg. I am not there yet and my plants seem to be a great color at 4g/g but on my next watering I am going to strongly consider going up to 4.5. It really depends on how needy your plants actually are. The website says to go by the green color. Any time I get to a point that my plants are looking a little pekid, then I will up the dosage, and I think that by following the instructions on the MC webpage to adjust based on the green, we are going to find that we are following Mr. Sauga's advice to up the dosage by .5g/g on each watering as the plants increase in size and complexity. I have broken that rule on my last watering, staying temporarily at the 4g/g level and I am watching carefully to see if the good green that has been returning, starts to fade.

Thanks for providing all that info @JKB1989 ...

When you get a chance please take some photos of your grow ... a group shot will help, the top and side of the plant, and a photo of a few fan leaves.

Are you adding anything else (supplements) to your water besides the Mega Crop?

Are you growing in coco or soil?

What is your feeding schedule like? Every day, every other day?

What size pot are you in? Are the pots fabric or plastic?

When was the last time you flushed?

When was the last time you up potted?

What is the pH and tds of your tap water?

What size tent are you in, and what is the power of the light(s)?

For veg, you could lower your temp a few degrees or raise your RH a bit. Do you use a VPD chart?

PS ... photos and lots of info really help people to figure out the growing issue ... since there are so many things that can go wrong in a grow :)

Might I suggest +.5g every second water. As you know, it takes a week to see how that water/nuteing shakes out.

The highest I’ve been in veg was 4.5-4.75 but that was on my massive Critical mother

10 week old plants likely need more than 4.5mg-gl. Pictures or it didn’t happen.

At 61 days after germination, or 40 days into veg, I increased to 6gm/gal. During the stretch, at 91 days after germination, I increased to 6.5 gm/gal. This was 14 days after the flip for GDP #1 and #3; and 7 days for GDP#2. They have stayed at these levels for the 17 days since then. I've been adding 1ml CALiMAGic per 9l water, or 15gm Mega Crop as I found a deficiency earlier. There have been no further problems to date.

Note: These figures work for my current grow in 70% coco / 30% perlite.

2 weeks into flowering and these girls are looking pretty good, tho the yellowing around the bud site has me a bit concerned. Currently at 6g/gal

Thats not yellowing....thats concentrated baby bud.

The fast new growth during stretch often comes in yellower as the plant works to provide it with all it needs. If it doesn't green-up over time, that's when to be more concerned.

Excellent, I'll keep my eyes on it, and maybe my next resevoir change on sunday will up to 6.5. But overall the MC nutes have been flawless, making my first grow easier and easier.

I think i depends on how you grow. I've been at 6.5gm/gal for at least three weeks, and the plants are loving it.
Do you live in a more humid place than others? That MC sure is hydrophilic...I have many clumps of balls forming if I don't close the bag immediately after getting scoop out.
