The Mega Crop Thread

I don't even use calmag until I first start seeing roots in my cloner... all they need is water as it is not like they can take advantage of any nutes until the root nodules show up. Whomever told you they need nutes to throw out roots was blowing smoke at you.
You are no doubt stalling because there are no nutes at the point that they really need them. Once you have roots, start feeding.... not calmag.. .but real food with N in it. Clonex is also not a nute... it is a hormone.
And yes, invest in a light meter... too much light can really hurt young plants. I adjust my light intensity about every 3 days while in veg and as the plants are getting closer to the light.

I know they do need nutes to root.
I'm assuming you meant they do not need nutes to root. Nitrogen will burn the tiny roots as they start to form. I've seen growers add some flowering nutes that are really low in N once they have roots on the stems, but once they start growing roots at a good pace you can start them on 3g/gallon of MC and light strength you would use for a 2-3 week old seedling. Remember that clones are as old as the mother you took them from. As long as you're not burning them, more light on clones means faster root growth.

Time to dip my toes into the quantum strip pool :smokin2:

Three 2700k boards and three 3000k boards 48w per board 96 lm301b LEDs per strip. Ought to get the job done with some creative light design.

Anyone else running quantum strips?

Says Samsung on it but I did buy from fleabay so who knows. Prolly should have used mouser or digikey to ensure legit strips but they look like the real deal. No sloppy soldering & what not.

$100 for the six boards shipped. I'll post a build thread once I've collected everything I need.

Yes I meant no nutes lol. It puzzles me because why sell a jug of clonex?
They sold me one with cloner saying that’s what you use when there roots are small.
So if it’s just a hormone then what good is liquid clonex? I understand the purple rooting gel,but the clonex they sell with cloners.
Here is a good description of Clonex:

Contains a unique blend of hormones, anti-fungal agents, vitamins, and minerals in a highly tenacious and stabilized gel base. Clonex Rooting Gel is registered with the EPA and is approved for use on all food crops in all 50 states plus Washington DC and Puerto Rico and is the only rooting gel approved by the Colorado Department of Agriculture

But that is all it is. All Clonex really does is to provide the hormone that causes root growth, but it really isn't food for the seedlings. At $400 for a gallon of the stuff, you must be planning on a ton and a half of cuttings!

So does this sound right? Clip clones and put in cloner. I use ro water so I assumed small amount of cal mag or isn’t it needed in ro water in cloner?
Once they root give them few days and put them in ro water with calmag and 2g per gallon of mc?
Slowly introduce them to more light may have to hand water few times until roots stretch?
I have them under t8 but only two bulbs.
Humidity high 85%.
I know it’s a mc forum, but actually it is about using mc lol.
Describe the scenario please it would help some of us.

I dip my clones in rooting gel as soon as I cut them from momma.
Apply the foam puck around the stem and insert into my cloner asap.
Trim the leaves back and keep them misted for a few days.
I use a 225w draw led light in my veg tent. I just move it way up till the clones start to root & recover.

Clones will take a couple weeks to root and recover.

Clonex has different solutions though as well! There cloning gel is different than the liquid clone solution which has an NPK of 1-0.4-1

They also have a mykos and few other formulas

Just though I would throw that in there

Stacking away fast sum purple sum not I’m still happy with them

I don’t use clones but use cubes all I use is aloe works very well

Man it looks like some of those colas are literally 2 inches away from the light.

Yup goin for a daily Bend but they loving it there is a lot of wind in my room to keep them cool that light barely gets hot witch is a huge plus my hps would have fried them bye now

Hope no one minds the update.
I made a mistake in my watering and one of my plants let me know just a little on a lower bud. Plants colors are amazing. Still nothing but MC. I did bump up to 1410ppm on all the plants. I still am amazed all 5 strains are happy with the same amount of MC.
