I was sitting here typing an answer to SoilGirl when I realized he was awfully silent now. At about 7:20 this morning Dale finally passed.

I'm so thankful his suffering is finally over. It was such a struggle to watch at the end. I'll be back later today. The angels here at hospice have already swooped in to hold me and will take over from here. I get the pleasure of tackling the paperwork that accompanies death in our society.

Thank you all for your loving support through this difficult time. I feel like you all are carrying me. You've kept me laughing and that has helped me deal with it in the most wonderful manner, free of the drama and fear that accompanies so many passings. This has been more like a vacation. They even feed me here. I remember last night, sitting in the window admiring the city skyline laid out like jewels at my feet, thinking you're not supposed to have so much fun watching you beloved pass over.

In the back of my mind a I could hear Dale say "We're not like "normal" people at all Susan." Follow those stars my beloved. :Love:
 
Sue....I feel so relieved for you and am so sorry for your loss of Dale. I hope that when I go...I have someone to sit by me like you have done for Dale. He passed knowing you were watching over him...he was at peace.It's all about you now Sue and the people who loved him.... Thinking of you Sue...:hugs:

How sweet that our friendship has grown to the point that we can sense each other Professor. This will make me smile all day long. :Love:
