The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

Dark Devil Autos: A Closer Look

These are the most fascinating plants to me. Raw, primal beauty, enhanced if you're lucky enough to get the deep purple hues. I feel particularly blessed today to be privy to this much beauty at one time. The promise of the end product is getting me really excited.

Enjoy. I had so much fun taking and formatting these. It's a pleasure like none other.

Ahhhhh........ Life is so sweet. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Lol.... small auto strains have small yields.....

BIG AUTO STRAINS HAVE BIG YIELDS .....lol.... pretty simple

Couldn't be simpler Atrain. :laughtwo: This strain, in both pheno types, is capable of much more than I've managed to harvest. The saving grace is that it's my favorite and it kicks butt like nothing else I've used, so a little goes a long way.

Carnival (Day 138)

Dont need to say anything at all, do I?

Afghani #2 (Day 139)

I pulled out the loupe today and took a close look. She comes down tomorrow morning. Trichomes are all milky and just beginjing to go amber. I'm off to the store for more lemon juice and baking soda as soon as I'm done here, and since I'll be down by the river this sounds like a great opportunity for a celebratory dinner out. How Sweet did that work out? Gosh, I love a Harvest Day. :laughtwo:

I'm thankful she lived. She didn't get my best efforts, and yet she offers me so much in return. It's humbling, and motivates me to pay closer attention in the future. I have to keep reminding myself that this is still all very new to me. And that I had that little event of Dale dying to complicate my life and distract my focus. *sigh* She's been the best she could be under her circumstances. There's great honor in that.

That's one of the reasons I keep trying to imprint the idea of a good photo plant. You can keep cloning her and dial in to exactly what she likes. By the end of several grows it is like you are psychically joined. You can anticipate her wants because you know her so well. Like any good relationship it gets better and closer with time.

Lol I know you love your autos! Don't mind me, I am a pesky one sometimes. This one was a photo no?

Daily Update: Perpetual Tent - Week 21, Day 2

Maintenance notes:
- Dark Devil Autos #1 & 2 were harvested.
- Plants that needed it got their 1/4 turn.
- Shifted more lights around Jamaican Dream.

Shall we take a quick peek?

We're down to seven now, with a major one - the Afghani - coming down tomorrow.

Just four Tiny Pots left. Tomorrow everyone in the tent gets a Growth Energy drench and we begin the mad rush to the end.

My last remaining Dark Devil Auto. Such a tiny thing. :laughtwo:

One last look before it's closed up.

That's it for now. I'm going out to dinner and while I'm there I'm doing a write-up of that joy altar Rad suggested to post on my Spot. I found myself fascinated by my choices to depict my sense of joy in my own life. Turns out I already had it started and didn't realize it until he focused me. Now it's complete, but what a delicious feeling it was to discover I'd already slipped into the mindset. It gives me great hope that I'm actually paying attention and listening for the inspiration and direction my life requires at this transitional stage.

This is my greatest leap in faith since I decided that I was keeping Dale. I'm at a moment in time where I know things are going to change quickly, despite the fact that I still have no clue what's coming. I've felt this energy in my life before though, so I can't deny something's afoot. My inclination at moments like this is to rush headlong into the crush. Not knowing what I'm dealing with has caused me to practice patience, a new experience for me. :laughtwo: This little altar has already served to slow me down and remind me that all things happen in their right time, so be joyful in the knowledge that things are in the capable hands of the loving force that drives the universe.

Thanks Rad. That was like the perfect birthday present. :battingeyelashes: I love being philosophical the week before my birthday, and this one is more intense than almost any other. This gives me the opportunity to delve into the loving that made me who I am today. :hugs:

See you around the yards. :Namaste:

Just wanted to thank you for these comments. They illuminated something for me that I didn't understand before - the appeal of cloning and then dialing in a grow. It's not just about getting to know one strain, or perfecting the grow method you're using, it's about dancing the dance with ONE PLANT through several incarnations. So very cool.

I agree with you. That post you left me at Cajun's was an eye-opener for me. I hadn't considered the consistency factor from a medication standpoint, so at some point, if I'm going to be serious about oil - and I'm very serious about oil - then I need to be serious about my approach, don't I? I do love autos, for the speed and yield one can get, but that interest was struck before I began to think in medicinal terms beyond simply keeping him high so his imminent death was easier to bear.

It's a whole new ballgame now. When I get back to growing the system adapts once again. I'm growing for oil. My life is nothing if not about change, it appears.

Yes, this one was a photo.

Shiggity, you're inspiring :dreamy:

He is at that, isn't he? It's been such a pleasure to have him join our happy crew. He never stops sharing incredible knowledge.

Every vote matters... I think

All this talk of auto and photo flower plants reminded me to remind y'all that there is a nail biter of a race going on over at the 420 Magazine's Plant of the Month - November 2015

Looks like every vote matters this month. Oh, and it appears your own self is in a close race as well, Sue. Best of luck!

P.S. I'll swing by a little later to update myself on your shrinking garden. What I saw thus far makes me very happy for you. :bravo:
