The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

I will quote you in my signature if you dont mind Sue? I couldn´t agree more with that statement!

Feel free. I'm touched.

Edit: I stand corrected. I'm way beyond touched. :hugs:

SO.... while you are away and your girls are taking the cure, what is you plan for keeping their humidity stable?

For myself I usually do quart jars or larger with individual small boveda packs (two packs for the big pickle and pasta jars)
For your collection of a dozen smaller harvests, I was thinking of a cigar humidor with bundles wrapped in cheescloth? and a few jars for the larger harvests like that lovely Graytail style Carnival . Might be a bad idea to share a humidor, the aromas would mix.

I've been wondering for a couple of days, but just now caught up the 20 pages until real time again :)

:hugs::angel::hugs::angel::hugs:

I have to say Rad, I'm touched by your dedication. You were like a soldier, trudging steadfastly through the fields towards the goal. :hugs:

Good question. It's going to be a sizable harvest, no matter what. There are four major plants in there and Carnival..... Well, you see her. :laughtwo: I've been accumulating jars of all sizes, all with wide-mouth openings. These are a few of the collection.

I was just speaking with my daughter tonight about my expectations that we can work together long distance to get everything burped. I have Boveda packs galore. It's my responsibility to have it all set up in a way that minimizes the stress on her. I'm confident we can pull it off.

I forgot about these. :laughtwo:

Right before lights out I decided to pull her out and see how she took to being bent over so unexpectedly. Surprise, surprise!

I adjusted the restraint to get that top down again.

I think that's it for me tonight. Must be the seasonal light shift made more challenging by the time shift of DST. I'm tired and ready to sleep. Awfully early for me, I know. :laughtwo: I'll see you all tomorrow.

Good night.

Ha ha. This is so true. I remember back in the old days when the likes page function was working. Radogast had been away somewhere. Every day for many days the likes popped up and I could follow his progress as he caught up on all the journals. Amazing tenacity.

It speaks volumes about the character of the man that smart woman who married him recognized.

Good Morning.

Adventures in Training

The Auto Jock Horror x Auto Amnesia is responding with amazing adaptability. What an eager and limber young one!

image2735.jpeg

Now, I'm going to have a minimum of four main tops instead of two.

See? There really aren't any hard and fast rules to training cannabis. :laughtwo: They adapt to the s**t life throws at them the same way we do. :battingeyelashes:

Living in the LIGHT

Jamaican Dream appears to be in her glory. This can only be good news for me and my new patient.

As the weekend begins let me take a moment to wish you days filled with love and laughter. There's such promise in a new day. I left a link on my Spot to my favorite happy video if anyone wanted to enjoy the giggles with me. You have a wonderful day, hear? :hugs:

Just A Bit Of Defoliation

When I open the tent she dominates the landscape and captures my heart first, before anyone else has a chance. :laughtwo: The overnight growth stuns me every morning.

image2742.jpeg

I watch these tops get chunkier and it make me giggle with glee! Hahaha!

I was listening to Doc Bud again yesterday, as he was once again schooling us on thinning out the green to get more light to the trichomes on the blossoms we're cultivating and coating more of those sugar leaves he has us all salivating over now. :laughtwo: So I thinned her out a bit. Now you can see to the dirt again.

image2744.jpeg

Yeah, I heard him too. :laughtwo: I agree Doc, I can do better. I went back in.

image2745.jpeg

That's better. Still not as ruthless as Doc, but he's getting me there. Such a patient man. The leaves got tossed into the recycled soil cooking for the second run when I return.

I love this hobby. To be honest, I get as much thrill from the posting as from the gardening, so I get double the thrill. It's so nice to be me. :laughtwo: :green_heart:

White Widow (Day 78)

I was planning to take her down tomorrow, but I don't know. She's probably got another couple weeks of growth to offer and that means a few more teas and drenches (note to self: get to the grocery store) before harvest. There's no real reason to rush. I was considering caramels, but I've decided to be responsible and do my vacation cold turkey. Being sneaky doesn't sit well with me. My mother instilled this ridiculously beautiful but often socially restrictive moral code in her children. Yeah, it got passed to my children too. One of my proudest accomplishments. The son joined the Army and somehow that skewed his. Haven't figured that out yet, but I wandered waaaay off my path there. Hahaha!

Since she doesn't need to fill any desires at this time, why not just let her ride until the pistils all pull back? No matter what, she's going to be great meds. Look at her go!

Beautiful! You should see the contortions I had to go through to get those shots, which were taken blind, essentially. One needs an intimate relationship with the device or blind luck. SweetSue operates in the blind luck zone. :laughtwo:

I think I can give her up to three more weeks. She won't last that long, but I've yet to let one go the distance, so what the hey?

Edit:Just a note: the spots all over the leaves are dried malted barley grain sprouted seed tea residue. Whew! That was a mouthful. :laughtwo:

Thank you Canna. Great praise from someone as talented as you girl. :circle-of-love: I'll cruise by your place later. LOL!

Aww...you're so sweet. :)

I had to take the time last night to get all of my subscribed threads into folder categories in my settings last night. It was getting cumbersome to go through the list of things I just want to check on periodically and the ones I want to check every day. LOL
Now, I'm rocking into organization mode again!

Great pics and love the descriptiveness of your posts.

:circle-of-love:

I haven't figured out how to do folders yet, but when you post as often as I do you develop serious focus and speed reading capabilities, or at least I did. I can scan that list like a laser now. What I really need is the ability to track individual conversations through the control panel. I'm waiting patiently, but I'm falling further behind.

I'm considering culling the list, and that hurts to even consider, so I put it off another day. Keeping it under 75 notifications, so there's that.

Thanks for the kind words. It's always a pleasure to have you stop. I'm looking forward to your time-lapse results. Someone recently did one with a phone and posted it. We should do a thread of time-lapse pieces. LOL! Yeah, I heard myself say that.

I need coffee. Catch you later.

Looking great Sue, these two big gals look so happy! And speaking of that I went on a listening spree on YouTube and watched several walk off the earth videos. That girl is fantastic. Made my morning.

Dale was a bigger fan than I and I have his playlists in my YouTube account. Great band. Some of their best work is in their collaborations. They work without ego interference. Is that a Canadian trait? Come to think of it, that holds true of many Canadians I know. Interesting. :laughtwo:

What a great thread. Dang, I should be defoliating mine right now instead of looking at yours :laughtwo:

driedmaltedbarleygrainsproutedseedtearesidue... yep. I sprained my tongue.

That's gonna make me laugh all day long.
