The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

One more thing Sue, keep on top of your ewc/compost/mulch/top dressings with the regular use of sst, coconut, ful power and tm 7.

Will do 36. Thanks for the encouragement.

Hey Sue! Had to stop by and say Hi. I'm your buddy COo from the Rocky Mountains. I read your stuff recently and figured I better come say Hi. Looks like things are good for you?

There. I've wanted to do that for the longest time. :laughtwo: ElkTurd? Is there some special value to elk s**t that I'm unaware of that you pick such a colorfully descriptive username?

I can't find words to describe how much I've missed you. I hope all is right with you and your lovely wife. I have a zillion questions, and I know none of them will get answered. It's enough to know you're safe. Do me a favor and don't let yourself take another year to stop for a visit, hear? You can always PM a girl. :battingeyelashes:

You made me cry, you little fart! I love you. Don't be a stranger. You see I survived without you and seem hell-bent on plastering the walls of our virtual community with my words. Your being here would have only made me write more,, in all likelihood, because I would have forced you to teach me about LOS the same way I've hounded poor Graytail with the kit. Thanks Graytail. Remember, love you.

Still hanging in that grassy city these days? I changed my posting style to simplify my life and ended up making it more complex (no complaint here) so I don't get out as much as I used to these days. At least until I get it down to a workable rhythm and/or cut back to more reasonable levels. The daughter freaked out on the tent, so I'm slipping back into stealthy closet mode, just hopefully with a slightly larger, purchased, free-standing closet with more depth so I can run bigger pots (I heard you 36)

I'm rambling, 'cause I'm so excited to see you I'm trying to pack too much in. Another sweet hug and I must rise and shine. :hugs: :kisstwo: :hugs: ah, ah..... Hold on just another moment. I don't know when you'll plod through again. :battingeyelashes:

Couldn't resist a little peek. *giggle* :battingeyelashes:

An interior shot from the White Widow. MagicJim, yours is going to do this on steroids compared to mine. You ponytailed yours, while I forgot to do that with her (I'll get more consistent Atrain, I promise), you're growing in bigger pots under stronger and longer lights. I'm going to have such fun watching you get excited when yours explodes into this type of frosty growth. Heheh!

My favorite morning view.

image34216.jpg

Well, maybe not "favorite" :laughtwo: Here's the reason I stuck my head in there. To just gawk at her magnificence.

Good morning You-uns. I think that's PA talk right? finally had time to look through you massive journal Sue and I must say that you are growing some fine looking herb! Yoos guys crack me up.

Pittsburghese: it's "yunz". :laughtwo:

Nicholas, you have my greatest respect. That's a lot of pages, info, pain and joy to wade through. I'm sure you'll appreciate this. Have Llama slide over and pass to the left Baby.

:passitleft:

For the third time in ten minutes I stopped in my tracks and said

"Whoa, am I high!"

 Couldn't think of why today was so different. Anyone remember? Yep, this batch is a mixed medley of Sativa strains. :laughtwo: Oh, I can't stop laughing. Hahaha! I stumble onto stuff like this all the time. Anyone recall how I discovered that decarbing longer increased the potency? That was because I tossed it in the oven and thought

"I'll surely notice when 30 minutes is up. "

Ninety minutes later the smell of roasted instead of baked buds greeted me. That was the bottom end of my THC Bomb Auto and I knew I'd screwed up royally. Best buzz in a long time. I believe B A R tested that out and found the same to be true. Huh! I'll have to try that again. Frankly, I haven't had the courage to try that since and may not until I have more inventory.

There I go, rambling again. Anyho.... Turns out mixing your strains does indeed increase potency effect. That shouldn't surprise any of us who smoke variety.

Oooooo.... Sweet, sweet body rush right up through the core and tingly through the crown. Haha! That was cool! A new experience, and one I got to share with you. :battingeyelashes: Wow! Tingly all over.

I'm gonna finish my oatmeal and coffee now. I was pouring that coffee and noticed I make it strong enough that you can't see through it. :laughtwo: Two of my brothers are ex-Air Force and they can't drink my coffee. They've been trained by the military to think of coffee-flavored water as the real thing. So sad. Mine is much yummier. :cheesygrinsmiley:

That's too funny, Sue! Most of my weed ends up being combined as my stash dwindles. By harvest time I only have a few 'pure' strains left as everything else is mixed together. I call it a salad bowl when I have my pipe packed with a mixture. Lots of different experiences in one toke!

Yeah hey sue, it's been a while for sure. Same old thing here. Today is get horse shit day for me. I'm taking a coffee break now. The other day it was leaves. The other day before that it was alpaca shit. Compost IS king.

I've been feeding my worms some elk (and moose and deer) turds lately. Magic in elk turds? Idk, I can say with certainty that it's free range organic as it gets. :)

Ttyl, and btw I can't PM you because I have the low post count going on. LOS, baby!

I collect deer turds all over my property! Sometimes a pile of bear shit gets added too! It is great great great in compost! Free range turd pellets break down very rapidly. (We have anywhere from 2-30 deer in front of our house at any given time. Right now I can see about 8 bedded down in the coulee out of the wind.

I'm really likin' it Llama. :laughtwo: Wonderfully trippy and very giggly, hehe, so I'm a happy gardener this morning. Boz Scaggs crooning in the ears and the plants in the Tiny Closet are so pretty they have me going camera crazy. Apologies in advance guys, but somehow I don't think anyone will complain. I'll do them individually. The Thunderpaws.... Good grief, I feel honored to raise such hearty babes. :battingeyelashes:

I'm in full creative with the help of this super-charged brownie and I solved one of my challenges. Look at how easy this was.

For years I've kept silk fern leaves around to create screens or just to look sweet in a corner with a crystal vase. There's this crazy litany that started in the back of my head with my first really cool apartment following college. It was a lovely ground floor converted garage, but it'd been a two-car garage with expansive storage, so I had an enviable, funky little space that suited the bohemian in me perfectly. As I set up house I would be chanting "picture perfect" as Fiesta Ware I'd rescued from a thrift store down the street got displayed with the Depression Glass salters and spoons. Those silk ferns have been helping to make our home "picture perfect" for over a decade now.

The cuts suffered from my neglect over a period of a couple days following their being harvested. They got too much light. *sigh* I know Graytail - you tried so hard to get that message across. It was your alert to Duggan that shocked me back to reality and made me rescue them as much as I did before today. I'm sorry. The Carnival cuts suffered the most. It's been difficult to find space out of the way with adequate coverage. I cleaned them up this morning and they don't look too bad in the end, but still..... too much light.

Then I remembered.....

I have to give some credit to the neurons firing better with the super-charged med mix. So that means that the produce of other plants just rescued some potential future plants.

How cool is that stoner thought?

THUNDERPAWS (Day 33, 32)

The top pictures are #1, a day older than the sibling. May I be blessed with females. I really want to be able to grow these two out. They're so different I felt compelled to contrast them. Stunning, vigorous plants. I can't emphasize this enough. I'm noticing that the strains you guys are creating are of a higher energy level than those expensive breeder seeds we struggle to afford. What's up with that? I'm watching a great number of you develop hearty seeds, and this isn't a difficult thing to do apparently. It makes one curious about the market and the mentality behind offering inferior seed stock. Stoner thinking again, but of an exasperated kind.

Back to happier thoughts. :cheesygrinsmiley: May I present my darling young ones, the Thunderpaws.

 Forgot to load them in. * giggle * Here you go.

I tried to get as close as possible to their natural coloring with these two shots. They came very close. You can easily see the shocking difference, and yet the health of each specimen. So fascinating how differently they express.

"Everything's good in the sunshine. You should see me in the rain." Lost in INXS. :laughtwo: You guys keep turning me on to such sweet music.

I'm growing more fond of these two by the day. Thank you OttawaGreen. This is exciting to watch.

I'm starting a new policy of going for a walk two hours or so after having a brownie. It's a breathtakingly beautiful fall day and I have a river path calling my name. Later guys.

:ciao: :green_heart:

I got distracted. She's coming into the end and I took the opportunity to throw her out under natural light.

Enjoy. :battingeyelashes:
