The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

good journal today have a good lunch

Holy crap Sue ...how many different people do you need telling you the same shit??? They're fucking seeds not babies. I'm starting to feel like Scrubbs more and more around here! Blah, blah blah. Your plants are so nice ,Blah ,blah blah...Makes me sick sometimes. Everyone stroking ego's all the time....how many times do we all need to tell Doc he grows nice plants??? Blah, blah blah. Bad mood today!!

whatever...

BAR, what size cubes do you use? I don't have an easy access to any, so they'd have to be shipped (ouch!).

I don't think anyone doubts the effectiveness of a technique whose success you have so thoroughly documented. That's why I have your excellent tutorial blogged for easy retrievability. Just because I don't use it doesn't mean I don't refer it. My personal preference is to learn to make it work directly into soil, so I'll keep tweaking it.

We're talking here about one of the most basic functions in the plant kingdom. Let me get back to as basic as I can. For me that means soil and seed and water and light. I'm close. I can feel it.

None of this would even matter if seeds weren't so overpriced. Which is why so many of us are dabbling in making our own, isn't it, and why so many crack the seed before planting?

They're seeds that cost over $10 a pop in many cases, so people get a bit obsessive about wasting that kind of money. Sorry you're in such a bad mood. I almost fell for that one myself yesterday. Scrubby had me thinking about why I post here at all. I worked through that obviously.

If Doc didn't want to hear the occasional "Atta boy" I suspect he'd stop posting such beautiful pictures.

That wasn't meant to have a lot of passion behind it, just a statement of fact. Duggan knows I'm ok with him expressing his opinions. :battingeyelashes:

Sometimes we forget we don't have the benefit of hearing the voice and watching the body language. I assure you, most of the time I'm laughing. :laughtwo:

I order the 48 count pack from Cramazon at less than $10 a pop.

I was pricing the larger ones, so you can understand my hesitation in trying.

All-time best song/music to listen to stoned

This is a link to a thread in Off Topic Forums (Misc. Forums) titled "All-time best song/music to listen to stoned".

It occurred to me that I'm surrounded by some of the most interesting people I've ever met and I'd be interested to know what music You choose when you're really stoned. Keep that in mind. Really stoned. Stop over and share.

:ciao:

PS. I updated my iPad and it won't let me do links anymore without throwing me out the window. I'm trying to learn to write the links out. This one didn't want to cooperate and it was more important to extend the invite than to look like I knew what I was doing with code. :battingeyelashes:

Do stop and make it more fun than it already is. Yesterday I indulged in "Dark Side Of The Moon" with more abandon than I've allowed myself in 35 years. Whew! What a sweet ride that was. :laughtwo: In a bit (I need a few more hits first) I'm going to have a similar experience with "Journey To The Center Of The Earth". Hope to see ya.

I'm 2:12 into this Wakeman classic and this is going to be an epic hour! :laughtwo:

Going back in!

I did Callanetics at midnight, after enjoying my Journey To The a Center Of The Earth (thank you Colorado a High - that was such fun!) and after finally chasing myself off the threads at 5 (just in time for BRIX foliars, a good thing, no?) I slept like a babe for 5 straight hours!

I think I just need to accept that I prefer the quiet and solitude of the night hours, at least in this stage I do, so why fight it? Now, Daily Stretch and something to eat. I'll be back later with the update.

Daily Update: Perpetual Tent - Week 11, Day 6

Maintenance Notes:
- Auto Destroyer and African Buzz got their weekly BRIX foliar on my way to bed this morning.
- Added about two liters of water to the LOS SWICK. Also top watered just a smidgen to help work in the top dressing of malted Barley Grain I applied the other day.
- Removed the dead-in-the-water Dark Devil Auto and composed my email to Herbies to see how they want to proceed. I'm placing another order within a week, with more than one of those Dark Devil seeds included. I need to make sure I always have one, or possibly two in process at all times. I'm already missing that zippy, trippy high. :laughtwo:
- Lifted the oscillating fan up to canopy level. **Cannabelle left a post yesterday somewhere dealing with air movement and its importance to healthy and frosty cannabis that I think I'll repost here later. I did blog it if anyone wants to chase it down before then.
- Watered Carnival.
- Added a small fan to the Tiny Closet. I'll be replacing it with a larger one later today.
- Spent some time just staring. And smelling the flowers. Yum!

Let's take a quick look, eh?

African Buzz, at Day 72, is beginning to fade around the edges, but she still has this spikey thing going on that doesn't want to stop. :laughtwo:

Auto Destroyer, a day ahead at 73, and I'm thinking the top is definitely done, done enough that it's beginning to make me nervous, because what's underneath still needs a bit more time. I'm considering chopping off the very top within the next couple days and let the rest ride to the end, which isn't that far off.

Cheese Candy, also at Day 73, and showing the kind of trichomes development I'm not seeing yet on the Kit girls. Remember back when I didn't think she'd catch up? Hahaha! She'll show us!

There's this growth down inside, just building and frosting away to beat the band. I thought about cleaning it up a bit down there, but it all looks like I should stay the hell away, so I did. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The LOS seedlings in the Perpetual Tent. Still being hopeful about the Buddha Tahoe OG.

The HB Kit seedlings in the Perpetual Tent. The New Year's Bag Seed has yet to break through, and I removed the Dark Devil Auto no-show. that's so wrong. I dug the seed out and it cracked, it just didn't sprout. I was getting ready to take a picture for Herbies and dropped it on our living room rug, a nicely variegated brown that instantly camouflaged it. That puppy's gone for good now. :laughtwo:

I'm much happier with three cups under those lights. I may just make another up if I want to do more than 6 plants in a starting run.

I opened the the tent this morning and it was a blistering 88 degrees in there. WTH??? I turned the fan all the way up and left everything open until it fell to more reasonable temps. Then I reset it at just a bit more speed. Still well below 80% power.

One last look in before closing it up. I'm happier with the fan there.

The Tiny Closet

All's well in the Tiny Closet. Growing nice, tight nodes. Just what we want to see. :slide:

It's 2PM. It's going to take some getting used to, living in odd time zones. I still haven't had anything to eat. So I took care of the movement, took care of the gardening, got the posting done but neglected to remember that I need to eat! :laughtwo: Easy enough to rectify.

You all have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping and brightening up my little yard. Get yourselves out there and be joyful. I got two, not one, but two luncheon invitations for the next week scheduled just this morning. Go figure. It appears I do have a social life. Haha! I'm finally beginning to reconnect with friends that got lost a bit while we spiraled out of control over the past year. My life is steadily rebuilding.

Now, where's that pipe?

Food first Girl!!

Ok, ok. I hear you. :laughtwo:

:Namaste:

That's more reasonable.
