The Hexapus's Garden

Ok so it's almost 300 years ago; and it was reversed at first. Anders Celcius just developed a scale in which water boiled at 0 and froze at 100, because none was in standard use at the time. This (Centigrade, from the Latin Centum: 100 and gradus: steps)was coincidentally and possibly almost simultaneously adopted and reversed by a number of scientists, probably independent of and unknown to each other, which apparently happened all the time in Academia before modern communications..
Changed to Celcius in honour of the creator of the original scale, A. Celcius, in 1948.
Thanks, interwebs!

Tead- Are you saying we're all over-thinking, hyper-active, control-freak insomniacs with a superiority complex?
Please don't tell my wife she's right again... This is all I got!

This had me laughing pretty hard lol

Wait... this is a trap! If I answer this question, am I an "over-thinking, hyper-active control-freak insomniac"?
See, and the other thing that makes me think it's a trap... we ALL know the spousal unit is ALWAYS correct.

Nope... not springing that trap tonight baby!

See how I am controlling you?

Catching up.... shouldn't we be seeing some sort of bud porn from you soon? You know... the close up kind with lots of sugar.
Brown hole... sux. Odd tho, seems to be a common thread around here. Wonder if it's THC related or just a trend of folks that chat on forums.

Nice to hear from you Tead. I was starting to wonder where you went.

No not thc related really. More the other way around, as for a while there everything including this journal became somewhat brown hole related. I was trying to explain and I guess apologize in order to move on. Whining - one of the only things capable of escaping the powerful gravitational pull of a large brown hole...

No it's not really bud porn time yet. In fact my flowering room has been almost empty for ages, apart from the ever present Thai Stick.
I've loosely filled it now though, flipping the second 600 back on and putting six plants in for the hexapus in one gallon pots, and the Ctitical Cheese. The other light has some Thai plants- Thai Stick, Mama Thai x Thai Stick, and a Mama Thai. None of those plants fall into porn category at all yet, if they ever will. They're all quite similar strains - all seem like the Mama Thai, with that same smell and funny looking buds that always remind me of the rear end of a giant wasp, for some reason... Except the TS grows so much more slowly. It's starting to form scrawny buds now. I took most of the pipe cleaners off of it, for better or worse. Used some of them on the Cheese and Mama Thai.

Mama Thai. So far she seems to be working towards budding happily enough, in spite of having curly syndrome.

Mama Thai x Thai Stick. No training awards for this one.

Lookin good.. Love the MTxTS.. Bud porn coming soon..

Whining - one of the only things capable of escaping the powerful gravitational pull of a large brown hole...

Nice. Apparently the "brown hole" lacks the gravity related to "black holes".
The funk. Seems to be a universal human thing. Some experience it to much greater levels. Always felt somewhat like a watered down version of manic depression to me.

Love to see the hex running again. Saw it in the earlier photo and it put a big grin on my face. I don't know why I like it so much... it's the right balance of whimsy and function and I just have warm fuzzies for it.

Good lookin garden!

Looking just fine weaseley,, all of em,, i just can't get enough of those thai pics, just a beauty plant, all of em, so classic looking, so takes me back,, i need a small pic for my wallet

hey weaseley,, a possible little known fact for ya this sunday,, maybe you know, maybe everyone but me knew, but i know now,,

blueberries,, did y'all know that the okanagan area of canada produces a large portion of the entire worlds blueberry crop??i did not know that till recently,, a huge majority of canada's crop and over 60 to 70 % of the entire worlds.. !!! stunning revelation

point of the factoid (near factoid anyway) is this,, i am harvesting my own blueberry today,, a dinafem blueberry,

gee, i wonder where that seed came from??

, she be a nice one,, i put it to flower younger than normal for me and it is a smalley,, but what a blueberry smell,, with a mix of diesel,, and groovy thing also,, i am replacing this blueberry with a much more robust blueberry plant,, a clone from the just harvested one,, blueberry out, blueberry in,, groovy indeed,, same thing i just did with the mama thai/thai stick,, just feels right i spose

happy sunday weaseley

Hi Lexort. Funny- I just went back and dug out that info this morning. I lost the date marker in the plant pot so I keep forgetting. Anyway- May 29 it started flowering. So it's only been a couple months. 63 days. My sense of timing must have been off the last while- felt like it's been three months at least. So it's doing fine, and not growing as slowly as I thought it was. Considering that the thing needs six months flowering time and it's only a third of the way there- it still has lots of time to grow those buds. Feels like a scary responsibility, keeping a flowering plant healthy for six months...

Yeah Nivek I liked everything about that blueberry plant, except for the minor detail that it wasn't sativa enough for me to want to smoke regularly :) It was one of the few plants I've grown that tended to stay happy and healthy throughout. Smells wonderful and it's a nice robust plant with big impressive buds on it. It wasn't my preferred smoke, and 'not strong enough' (groan) for the oh so refined tastes of the two patients, so it made way for what I have going now- mainly sativas for myself and the patients will have to live with that, and hopefully the Cheese and Malawi satisfy their ravaged brain cells. Otherwise I'll keep the Pineapple Chunk going, but I find it a bit problematic to deal with.
I did not know that about the blueberries. Amazing how much produce can come out of a small area. Takes me back to Uncle Cannabis' brilliant sop unit of grow room measurement- the 4x8 sheet of plywood standard unit. My entire grow space including veg, bloom, and cloning, is less than 1.3 sop, and while it rarely produces more than half of its potential, it can still grow much more than I need.
It's fruit paradise down there. You're so lucky. So good and so cheap it's almost free. You could roll in the stuff, have an all fruit bubble bath, build a house out of fruit, have a swimming pool full of fruit to dive and splash around in. I drove through there last year, and filled the car to the brim. Bottling some wine today from that trip actually...

Six months flowering time!!!!!!! Thats crazy weasel how can you stand that! I couldn't do it man lol i thought i was patient but you sir take the cake! Lol

Wait! :lot-o-toke: stoned moment. I knew something was off. It's only four months recommended flowering time. Geez I'm halfway there already. Things are looking up. :thumb:

Phew you bout gave me a heart attack brother! Lol 4 months i could handle, begrudgingly but i could if it was worth it lol

sixteen weeks is forever in mj terms, unbearable nearly,, it is fortunate (sic) that time passes by much more quickly these days,, because of more experience growing,, and sadly because of advancing age,, age such an issue with me these days,, hmmmm,, best get workin on that cco i thinks,, sue??? oh sue,,,,,,

Well... Actually, to be exact, the breeder says eighteen weeks, Nivek. Personally I never plan more than 24 hours into the mists of the future, and would never expect to live to be another week older, but that's what I've been thinking for decades now and I'm alive despite my best efforts to go up in a blaze of glory, or whatever. Plant the plants, carry on buzzing around, and maybe we will have something to smoke, in the glorious future.
