The Girl Who Drank The Moon

I said this last grow and I'll say it again: artificial nutes. If you don't have the perfect soil yet then there is no reason to struggle to make the plant (and you happy) with water and foliar sprays. Feed her what she needs and get another great harvest. There is no shame in using what so many of us use to produce great buds!

Even Van who grows POTM candidates every month sometimes struggles with a batch of soil and has to top dress or cal-mag.

Thank you Shed. That makes me feel a little better. But I think that with my next grow, we will finally have it. There are just too many people on that site giving outstanding reviews.

Absolutely! I don't mean give up searching for the perfect LOS. I mean get this beauty to a successful harvest.
:Namaste:
I'm with Shed on this even if you give her chems you are one step closer to that perfect soil you are searching for. Go for it! :thumb:

Guys, thank you for the suggestions but If the plants are turning green after a flush, then that is telling me that the soil is way over amended. Let's just wait for this Great White to do its thing for a few days.

We can wait if you can! But if you rinse out the amendments and it turns green, why does it change back again if the amendments are washed out?

I'm thinking that it's because the bacteria are breaking the soil down and creating the over abundance. Then when I wash it all out, the levels go down and then they start breaking it down again and thus the endless cycle. either that, or Dr. Earth supplements are garbage. Hell it's probably both. Never again though. I'm good at never repeating the same mistake twice. Sooner or later I will run out of mistakes. LOL I'm also never going to just be adding a little of this, and a little of that without precise measurements. That works fine on my vegetables, cannabis, not so much.

I know I’m on my first grow, but that’s literally what I did with my soil and it seemed to work out fine. I used a fuckton of microbes from different companies “aka I bought a lot of piss from a lot of businesses” like Mammoth P and Orca. Honestly if your soil is decent and you can have good clean water, you shouldn’t need any liquid nutes.

December 3, 2018

Transplanting in flower is probably not a good idea. And I went around and around with this in my head over the course of the week. After realizing that my estimated harvest date is actually February 6, 2019 instead of January 6th, I decided to take the plunge and accept the consequences, if there are any. The hopeless yellowing and stunted growth of Luna is just never going to stop, and in a quick action, I prepared a 5 gallon pot with Build-Soil and removed Luna from her 10 Gallon hell. Her roots had not yet reached the sides of the pot which I had going in my favor. They came out with surprisingly little damage and I quickly dusted them with Great White before placing them in her new home. I filled the pot, and watered her thoroughly just in time for lights out.
I expected her to be sagging and droopy from transplant shock, but I accepted it as a casualty of the deed that I had already committed.
But instead, something else is happening. This morning I opened the tent to find her praying to the light and remarkably turning green.
Zena, who soaked up some of the runoff from Luna's watering looks surprisingly perfect now.

Unless I'm missing something, The claims from the Build-A-Soil website just might be true. The following photos are 12 hours after the transplant.

I have had a huuuuge setback myself with the water cooling. It's on the sketch board again. :goodluck:

It will work out sooner or later Crazy. I have been wondering what would happen if you built a clear acrylic box around the light and placed the inlet and outlet on each side, then connect that to the exhaust fan. Maybe it would suck the heat right out of the tent without it ever having a chance to penetrate? I know you will figure it out eventually.

Couldnt get it across the border last time i checked...

That sucks PJ. I wonder why they won't let simple amendments be shipped?

You are always pulling a rabbit out of a freaking hat Retrix! Nice trick :thumb:

LOL Shed, I think I'm always just somehow getting lucky. I need to settle in before the luck runs out!

Been there, done that. But never used the technique on leds. It takes away a lot of light. Maybe it would work with a really thin glass sheet, but I still think It would take away some of the photons.

Now with Poseidon down I'm having temps at 29C again.... Man what a setback.
