The Girl Who Drank The Moon

This might come as a shock but I need to do a reboot. Luna seemed to stall after her transplant and although she didn't die, she did stop growing. I just don't have time for it. There is a limited amount of time left and I decided to pull her and Zena due to only having one tent, it just doesn't make sense to flower one 12 in plant. It is what it is. So with that, I dropped a few more seeds in some water to soak.

Then I prepared two 5 Gallon pots with the new soil mix from build a soil.

Which consists of a brand new bag of Fox Farm Happy Frog, amended with exactly 50% of the recommended amounts of 2 cups of the nutrient pack, and 4 cups of the mineral pack.

I sprinkled Great White, covered with 2 inches of soil, then 2 inches of straw. watered in and planted seeds.

The one on the left with the white zip tie is Humboldt's ChemDawg The one on the right is Barney Farm's Liberty Haze.

That's it. So now surely with that set up, these plants should grow without any more fuckery.

:oops:o_O

What happen? Sometimes you might think they stall but then they take off again.... Luna was so beautiful. :rip:

I feel like my first iteration of super soil was a massive yellowing failure and I would have had a terrible yield for all of the time and electricity. It was my fault for screwing up the soil. I decided to pull both of them so that I can get at least one high yielding grow for the season. I also didn't like the GSC genetics so much. They just grow so damn slow. I will try it again in the future, but I think they will be better suited to Hydro. If I had room for 2 tents I could have just let them keep going however I am not so lucky in that regard. This grow will put me in early to late spring once it is done, and I will have to wait for winter again due to the heat issues. I am however, looking forward to getting my face blown off by ChemDawg 91 as long as everything goes well.

They were sad babies.

That's the spirit R!

It's to bad it went side ways but yet again in the fortune of wisdom. I hope you aren't in the red yet with your meds, always need a backup plan. I know you will do well with this new mix you got going. I will keep an eye on it. :)

Yes it does hurt a little bit when I have to do an execution. I spent 26 bucks on that seed. But then again, I spent 28 bucks on Pizza last weekend. LOL

Nice new life, but you're a braver man than I. I definitely would have seen Luna through to the end with whatever store-bought nutes she was asking for.

I have a problem with everything needing to be perfect, which probably isn't a good trait combined with my dodgy growing skills.

Looking forward to the chem 91' but would have saved Luna as well . You could have just thrown her in coco/perlite/promix ? and just gave her ewc/bloom nutes?:rip: Luna ;o(

In a different space with separate veg and flower tents, I would most definitely have saved both of them.

That was me last year when i started up again. Epic fail on the super soil.

Yep and I was having the same problems with my soil PH way too high too. If This grow turns out the way I hope. I will follow this recipe to the letter and use it to grow everything from now on. Imagine putting your soil together and knowing that the plants will turn out perfect in it before you even start. That's what I'm looking for.

Lol..:ciao: I'm going to be trying a super simple version of mine in the next year or so...i've seen crazy good results with it. It's literally only peat moss, humus, biochar, and rock dusts. Plants grown in it are the healthiest plants I've ever seen...which is a bold statement.

Topdressings of kelp and neem every month or two, and feedings weekly via foliar is all it takes - I should also add a decaying mulch layer is a MUST! But thats fairly simple..

The soil I use now really seems to shine during flowering. I'm always nervous as to whether or not I've set the "herd" up for success as they dont always seem happy during veg....then they absolutely take off at the flip, usually leaving me speechless lol. Let me know if you mind the pictures and I'll remove them!:passitleft:

@Kismet you got a bird inside the tent?!?

Yet the buds still looks amazing. That's the funny thing with weed. How ugly the plants look they always seem to produce good seize buds. :)

That's what I usually think when investing into new stuff for the grow. What would I have bought instead, probably garbage.... :)

You don't say...... ;)

Laquer you can post all of the pictures you like in my thread. I'm about the easiest person to get along with on these forums. Your plants look perfect and that is all that I am looking for.
