It's a disease🤣. 20 gallons a tub.

Two are cooking, Two are just used soil with the roots composted in the pots and then dumped into a tote, and one of them is two 10gal rootballs I dissected. Miss Sticky and some other that I can't remember, but I think was an RVDV, and then one tote of EWC.

And 2 10gals still waiting for the roots to decompose.

When I uppot my Durbans into 10gals, a tote frees up for these 2.
Omg u talking in totes too!!!! Sheesh u a beast bro lmao I had out door space n dirt lololol..this takes early soil prep to a whole new dimension!!!! Fr tho this must be sooo convenient, just label them and then just select a hand crafted, specifically tailored top teir soil like you looking thru baseball cards lmao !! Good idea and the longer it sits the better it gets baby....👌😎👍

I have one tote to compost 32x19x15 it's been a trooper and a friend to me and my ladies....

Just started my flower run pots so she empty now but will be composting for 4 months as I rotate between 2 different composted and amended sets of soil,is in use and the other will be cooking for 2 months in between runs .....do you think that's not long enough between runs to re amend soil ?

2 months is more than enough if you keep them moist and warm.

Nice, can I ask wat u use for your microbes like the bare bones ?
Whatever the atmosphere, the carbon source, and the EWC provide. I don't use any commercial EM boosters. At least not directly from a package.

Just what's in any base mix I may purchase, which is just carbon sources such as aged bark mulch or organic coco or Seasoil.

As far as myco goes, I use a brand called Bluesky Organics called Myco-Grow. It seems to work well.

Myco manages the microbes and controls their populations to a large degree, so when you recycle your soil your microbes start to become more and more friendly to your plants.

I like to give a plant at least 3 weeks before adding any EWC. That gives myco time to get established before you start boosting microbes. Myco needs to be stronger than the microbes to keep the exudates going to the right places. Myco is the boss down there.

Usually once around the end of week 4 of veg I'll give a microbe tea.

If after stretch things are looking hungry I may give another tea, but generally I only give one tea.

Otherwise I just add EWC topdressing weekly for microbes.

Nice I like the natural microbe method,so you wait a month before begining to feed and boost microbes to give the environmentally occuring microbes time to populate....that's a very good idea as well ?? Hmmm that would ensure the most effective or beneficial colonies get rooted first. I am also aiming to preserve and evolve the microbes so they adapt to my plants roots and genetics, environment, feed and get stronger n stronger. I wonder what it's like w soil that been running same everything for like 10 yrs ......

Myco grow ? ? Ty I'ma check that out too

lol we were pretty much typing the same thing at the same time, well the watering part anyways.
I noticed that you had entered a msg and saw the watering part as soon as I hit Post reply :).
Letting them break down in the pots til the stump pops out is good too.
Since the majority of my plants are clones there is no tap root. The part of the stem that rooted is under the soil line and it ends with what looks like a swelled up scab or scar tissue. There is no narrowing down of the stem into a tap root though I have seen thick roots coming out of the stem when I have played around with recovering roots within several days of a harvesting.

I had the same Durban soil for 5 years and it grew Durban better than the other strains, so it's possible that it could get that specialized.

I eventually tossed the soil into my veggie garden because I didn't have room for another 6 tubs of soil just for Durban. I'm good with one general high brix mix now. It makes life a lot simpler, and Gaia is making the simple life even simpler again.

These Durban babies I'm growing will be my 1st go with Gaia and Durban. I'll know if Gaia works as well as Rev's recipe.

On that note, here's what I have decided. I'm going to grow 3 Durbans in 10gals of Gaia because I've never tried Durban in Gaia, and I'm going to make the 4th plant a Miss Sticky clone also grown in Gaia for my 1st attempt with Gaia there too.

Miss Sticky that I just harvested was in Rev's mix.

Nice, I saw the miss sticky, congrats sir. Have only heard of the Durban p. That's that sativa heavy bud that has like highest THC potential?

How is it smelling? Have you taken a flame to some larf?
I can never resist, cramming some mostly wet bud into my vape and vaping all that fresh terps and thc goodness. Haha.
Have a great weekend
Lol you make me want to go buy a vape!🤣.

No I haven't tried it yet. It smells really sharp in a good way. Not quite pine and not quite lemon but really strongly not quite pine and not quite lemon. Very fresh almost.

Yesterday was day 3 hanging and last night it was starting to dry but not enough to snap small stems, so I tubbed it this morning and now 8 hours later the tub humidity is 81% RH. I'll let it sweat overnight and rehang it tomorrow morning.

I'm venting it every couple hours right now. It's coming nicely.🥰

I'm not sure if it's the strongest, but it's no slouch. I'd say upper mid-level.

Malawi is strong, it spun me good. That shit scares me🤣

A dehydrator, Smh....(as Gee palms himself in the forehead). You know what, I have one of those...... I bet it works pretty good🤣

Durban Poison - Day 9.
20241206_101807.jpg

These are the 3 DP's I'm going with. I plucked the runty one and one that didn't look quite good enough. I'll mainline these 3 and a Miss Sticky clone will get forced to fit as a 4th.

20241206_101813.jpg

I got 3 different phenos😊. This one is large.

20241206_101816.jpg

This one is what I call the common pheno. It's a great pheno. It produces well. It's just not spectacular on looks. But still a great pheno.

20241206_101819.jpg

This one is very sativa-like. This is the pheno that intrigues me the most. There's a hard to find sativa pheno in here somewhere that pops up every 15 or so seeds. It get's frost rails down its sugar fans so heavy they roll up like tubes.

You can't tell if it's the right one until after stretch. It's a good one. So far I haven't caught it with a clone. I'll clone these just in case😎

And speaking of clones.....
Day 45.
20241206_101501.jpg

They are getting funky.

20241206_101539.jpg

All the tops are doing this. Like they are going into flower.

Brown roots

20241206_101712.jpg

This is probably what's causing it. The roots are turning. Time to feed the worms.

Nice bro,I'm partial to those big fans, seems to always give me something thing nice when them leaves got some "cake" to them lolol. ...oh did u say when roots turn that means they hungry ? ....makes sense they looking for food,I bet they turn towards nozzle. Looks like she just getting ready to be ready lol no hairs yet but she close idk what causes that pre flower look other than maturity ?

I'm thinking they know death is near and are trying to flower.
