Miss Sticky clones - Day 26 in soil Day 46 since being cut.

Left is Aloe, right is non-aloe. Non-aloe had 2 branches topped.

If I cut this at the bottom red line and lop off the other 2 branches/leaves and toss it in the aerocloner I will end up with a 2-headed clone. I have 2 of these.

20241021_081924.jpg

And 14 of these, all pretty much ready to be cut. I think I will cut a bunch and keep the 2 best rooters.

In the 3 weeks it takes to root them I will rebuild these rootballs to replant in. They seem pretty healthy with the biome they created for themselves.

I'll fill the cloner with RO water today and let it warm overnight, then cut tomorrow.

9 of these at exactly this size but in 7gal cubes and being flipped would really fill my tent😁. Maybe after my next Durban grow.

When leaves get sunburned they are on their way out. It causes premature senescence on them. I have found that it takes about 7-10 days to really come in.

Are your other plants all fine?

Was this one in a brighter spot under higher ppfd than the others?
Thank you Gee. I only had the one under a light. The others are out in the sun. I hope that the leaves have enough in them to get the plant to the finish line.

The plant is 62 days old but there are a lot of white pistils still. The breeder estimate for finishing is an 8 week flowering. It can't afford to lose all of its leaves now. I don't know what is going on with it other than it definitely got too much light and heat. I can't find this purple look in any visual guide online in my Google searches, other than natural purpling and senescence. It started on the bottom leaves and is working its way up the plant node by node.

I've checked my schedule and the plants are all due to receive their fortnightly dose of Nourish, and their weekly dressing with EWC and Elemental Blend. I don't have everything needed to make a tea so I will go with the scheduled treatment and hope that it is enough.

I'm going to take this back to my own journal now and report on it there. Thank you Gee.
Hi @Carmen Ray
I did see something like yours online
Someone with a calcium def overdid it with calmag and caused the same sort of burnt colours, it was on that redit app,
I thought I might just put that in as a possibility 🤷‍♂️ 😊

Here is my DIY autowater system. She ain't pretty, but it fits a 10gal round pot or a 7gal cube.

20241020_100249.jpg

Its all 1/4" dripper lines and parts.

20241020_100257.jpg

one corner has a nipple to plug in the water line.

20241020_100306.jpg

The other 3 are like this. You place it onto the pot when you uppot and it's there until harvest.

20241020_100332.jpg

Here is my small aquarium pump running to a 3/4" plastic tube that I use as my manifold. I plug 9 lines into it so I can autowater up to 9 pots. The pump goes in my RO tote.

20241020_100420.jpg

right now 5 of the 9 are plugged off and coiled up.

20241020_100414.jpg

The plugs in the ends are called goof plugs.

20241020_100355.jpg

4 lines run into the tent.

20241020_100457.jpg

3 are goof plugged and sit in here, as originally I was going to run 4 pots. What was I thinking😔.

20241021_072258.jpg

And 1 goes to here.

Then I plug the pump into a smart plug that I program with an app.

Screenshot_20241021_073741_CE Smart.jpg

Here is my current schedule. Right now all 3 cycles are actually turned off because yesterday I manually poured in 3 litres of fish water, so she's wet.

As soon as she dries down I will turn it all back on. Probably so it comes on tomorrow morning, but maybe in time for a watering this afternoon.

With stretch over I will probably have to dial it back 1-2 minutes per cycle.

Just in time to shut it off again and hit her with dolo water. Auto watering only has a part time job lol, but it's awesome to be able to turn it on when you are just maintaining.

I'll check and till the surface before I turn it back on.
Than you @Gee64
First thing that sticks out here
9 lines 😳😂 Miss sticky’s as big as me flat, how you getting 9 of those monsters in your house 😂👊

The 1/4 inch lines, do they get clogged ?
Iv read some things saying they do and the half inch is better, but I’m guessing that’s the synthetic nutes are what’s clogging them, so going with just water/organic wouldn’t clog them ?

And the timer thing scares me, that’s why I was thinking of them blumat things, it would make it easier for me, maybe with the more grows I do then I could try the pump and timing way, which would make things easier with the not needing gravity thing, but this self watering is all new to me, clueless here 🤷‍♂️😂

Thank you Gee :thanks: :adore:

I only run RO water thru them and they haven't clogged once in 6 years.

I hear you. I'm really curious to see how these Blumat setups work.
Thank you Gee :thanks: :adore:

The sun came out today and our weather forecast has changed to frost for 4 nights in a row starting tonight. The RVDV's won't make it thru, but they are very pretty.

20241021_134006.jpg

Sticky stinky. This is high brix high nutrition stuff, this plant never saw a day of deficiency in it's life. I can't remember if it hit 21 or 22 brix. This is really good meal.

The best part of those 27 gallons of soil is headed for the worm farm now.😁

The two 7gal cubes too, I wanna check out their roots next week.

See ya🥰. With the outdoor RVDV now gone, the mother plant in the veg tent goes too. It's a beautiful red strain but it doesn't grow indoors well at all. It grows amazing outdoors but it will never ripen befire frost, so it's useless to me. Good Bye RVDV. Worms are sending you over to Miss Sticky🤣

The sun came out and I only had my phone, so the pic quality kinda sucks, sorry.

Miss Stickey - Day 29 of Flower.
20241021_161302.jpg

I turned the lights down a smidge. Ppfd is 890-960. Tomorrow's VPD check will tell us.
First and foremost, holy crap haha I have never seen so much bud being thrown out... Don't you know there are sober stoners in America!? 🤣 Think of them next time.... Hahaha

Gorgeous girls shame they couldn't finish out. Have you thought of leaving them out through the frost if they aren't for consumption? I know that Ice wines are popular around here and I believe they leave the grapes on the vine through the frost to jack up their sugar content and make sweeter wine. I mean I doubt the worm will care if theres a little freezer burn, they eat dead stuff all the time hahaha.

Yes Gee, I am too, from the reviews iv read, and what I’ve watched on YouTube , I think they will sort my watering problems out, hopefully 🤞🏻😂

And yeah they did say that it’s the salts in the synthetic nutes that clogs em, so I’m ok there too 🤞🏻🙏

Thrown out? depends who you ask. The worms would say it's exactly where it should be. In the freezer on their shelf, which is 2 shelves now.🤣
Thanks Kaldean. That's interesting.
If you only had a refractometer....
Wow! They were gorgeous.
Thanks Carmen. The season was really kind, just not long enough for the African Girls. Too bad, RVDV took to the outdoors very well. She's a robust strain. She must do incedibly well outdoors in SA.

It's almost 4am here and it's only 3.6C outside, but thats not frosty.👍😊

Maybe the purpling BK can continue the show for another week or so. She looks really tasty so if I can get her fully ripened it would be fantastic.

It was very theraputic, almost like popping bubble wrap, to just cut off the branches, grab them by the tips, and strip them backwards into a big tote. I trimmed 3 plants in 45 minutes! 🤣🤣

Hopefully BK's harvest will be a good Photo Op.
