The 3 LC-18's and the RVDV all got a major hair cut. They all got cut back to node 1 of the mains pretty much. There were a ton of great clones but I don't want clones yet, so for now they produce worm food. I guess RVDV gets to live a little longer. I think my next grow is going to be a Durban run in Gaia. So I won't need any of these LC-18's ready for flower for at least 16 weeks, so I need to cut clones in about 10 weeks. I do however need some space to start some Durban in the next few weeks.

At this point it probably can't hurt. I wish you had a refractometer, that would tell us. If you think it's a calmag issue for sure then yes I would give it more. Is the soil crusty when dry on top?
This is the plant that got too much light. You said it looks like a magnesium issue and you suggested I give it a half dose of calmag. I am not sure of anything at all.

EDIT - not particularly crusty

Sorry Gee. Idk, I'm trying to retrace my steps. I found a good article / blog on deficiencies that can make leaves go purple and it certainly sounded / looked like magnesium deficiency, which as I understand it will have been caused by the light stress? I am not sure if the surface is crusty or not. It's not light and fluffy, put it that way. Here's a pic of a leaf.

Ok, the 10 hour numbers are:

86 air temp
80.5 leaf temp
30 rh
227 vpd
14.5 brix

So, looks to me like I can raise the plant a bit and the pitcher of water hasn't done much so maybe I'll focus on trying to dial in that 2° leaf temp difference and then hope that it improves the humidity by increasing transpiration as the plant revs up.

Thank you for showing me your leaf damage Con. I'm not so sure it does look the same. The purple on mine started on the lower leaves and is working its way up the plant. Your damage looks to be on the top leaves. Idk I cannot seem to find the right information when I google.

Those leaves look pretty shiny (or is it reflection from a flash maybe?)

Yeah you can see the difference. Big difference!!¡

My guess is it's damage done from too much light. How is the new growth up top?

I agree completely, but you are hunting a sweet spot now so don't raise them too much at once, and if you do raise them vpd will spike.

You would actually be better to lower that 86 first. And raise RH.

If you have room use some pots full of used dirt that are freshly watered to fill up the floor space of your grow space. It will raise RH a fair bit.

Even tho your leaves are running cool, your VPD is still really high. Your stomata are heavily restricted right now. You need to let them relax. Do anything you can to either lower air temp, or raise RH, or lower leaf temp to get to under 1.60.

Getting your RH up to 50 would fix everything.

brix 14.5😊❤️🥰👊 F@$k Yeah!

How's your weather currently?

Yeah, when I run the calculation changing the temps don't move the needle anywhere near what rh does.

That's a good idea, I could try that. I've got the next batch that's been cooking for a few weeks that I could pot up and let sit.

Air temps should be coming down in the next week or so, so that should help. Maybe I'll put a non-canna SIP plant in there and see if it can move some water.

My brix device always has a very out of focus look to the screen and I was rotating the eye piece to see if it would focus like binoculars. As I was turning it, it kinda popped out and now is crystal clear. Who knew?

How's your weather currently?
Been a pretty good stretch with clear sunny days and will be unseasonably warm the rest of the week.

Miss Sticky - Day 28.

Larf Valley.

4 weeks since flip. Stretch is over and the flowers are growing. I think she is starting to look a little hungry, so I will start topdressing every 5 days now instead of 7. That means tomorrow, not Wednesday. She got fish water today. She's a big plant, she has pulled a lot from the pot. 6 weeks to go, maybe more.

The 8 mains around Larf Valley.

Gee here are pics of the plant showing its condition from top to bottom.

Jiggi thank you but I feel sure it is way too early for me to be losing fan leaves.

I apologize, I never really thought to mention that you can spin the eye piece to focus lol. Glad you found it🤣

OK not to detract from your 14.5, because it's awesome and it indicates so many good things about your overall mix

but ...

if your in great weather now it could bobble down quickly, but at least your feeding the soil, so the rich is getting richer.

It's a race to see how high brix can dial up before a low pressure ridge blows thru.

If you get it up a couple more then poor weather will only drop it to a 13 or 14 or 15, that kinda thing.

Game on!🤣

Yeah that looks like too much light to me. Every fan shows it. It looks like sunburn.

The plant is still able to eat those leaves so don't pluck them. They just can't photosynthesize very well now.

Didn't your banana peel tea help a mag def? or was it P?

I didn't give the plant any banana peel tea. I only gave it the calmag at low dose, the usual top dressing, kelp and fish hydrolysate.

The plant didn't make many leaves in veg and they are burning up fast. Is there anything else I can do to try to save them?
