So on the topic of VPD, who wants to see a cool thing? It's a 2 part post as it requires 12 pictures, so please let part 2 get posted before you post in between the parts.
Watch the leaf temps in the pic's, and once they reach 74 then watch RH to the end.
The intensity of light is what will raise leaf temps, and a combination of turning it up/down and plant height keeps it dialed in. As the plant gets taller it is identical to turning the light up. You may actually have to turn the light down from timecto time.
If you follow this your roots and shoots will stay ratioed properly if your soil and watering practices are solid.
Each picture includes a growth phase reference under the value being displayed, so please compare the value, and each picture is 1 week, so pic 1 is sprout time, pic 2 is week 2, etc.

So now stretch is over, you are dialed, and you just hold this to harvest.
The next time someone tells you VPD is useless you can now quietly smile, and fire up a rocket from a nice big juicy yield.

So if you take the time (on time event here) to build a good soil, follow VPD, and understand that leaf temp is linked to light intensity, and use a refractometer to monitor calcium, you will only see a deficiency in it's true form. If it looks low on nitro and calcium is good, it's an actual nitro def, that sort of thing, and next time you build better soil. No tail chasing now.
But if you used a good recipe and cooked it well, you won't have a defficiency in anything other than rolling papers, as you will need a lot of them

Hey Gee. Lots of stuff to report but life gets busy. Finally bought a jewelers loupe and saw a few amber trichs on the Chocobang so it got chopped and is hanging in my tent. Thanks to you, also bought a refractometer. Iklwa is doing good, still got a 3 weeks I'm guessing.

My office is my phone. I only work for a select few old buddies now so it's pretty chill. Old guys drinking coffee and having fun. Sometimes we even do what we get paid for. It's not really work anymore, but I want to hang out with my wife now. Maybe not in the spring, but for now...
