Happy Thanksgiving Carmen!

It contains1 part each of bone meal, mineralized guano, rock phosphate, glacial rock dust, basalt rock dust greensand, and prilled dolomite.

1/8 part azomite and 1/8 part soft rock phosphate.

I mix it all up and every 10 days each pot gets 1 tablespoon.

I also use Gaia Green Power Bloom from time to time, and in veg, which contains bone meal, mineralized phosphate, fishbone meal, rock phosphate, mined potassium sulphate, glacial rock dust, insect frass, feather meal, basalt rock dust, kelp meal, humic acid, gypsum, greensand, and blood meal.

My worm farm also gets 1 tablespoon of this mix per gallon of additives. I add oyster shell flour to the worm farm too.

Good Morning Stone, is that you I see hiding behind 185 jars of weed where Mrs Otter can't see you playing on your cell phone?
:passitleft:Sure is, she's back here with me! Good morning Gee! Loved your cannagar tutorial! Enjoying the heck out of your grow too! Durban's are going wild and your Africans look sweet! As you mentioned adding some heat to them may get em ripping!
All my sativa people are having a good time with LC-18! I'm having fun too! Not being a seasoned sativa smoker I had a period of learning about it! Still am! There's a lot going on in there!

lol if it's like Durban Poison it's a pretty busy buzz🤣 Like a rolling paper full of caffeine. It gets the Honey-Do list fixed up real well!🤣🤣🤣

On the Sept 18th pic I notice it looks like you pinched off all the shoots that may have grown on the knuckles where they split to make two? Is that right? leaving the plant with 8 colas period.
Exactly correct, and eventually all the side branches were removed from the 1st 5 nodes of each cola as well, leaving only 14-16 inches of canopy.

I have noticed over time that any larfy weed ends up in the worm bin or oil still, so no point in growing it really. This lets the main tops get meatier.

The end result with 4 pots is a canopy similar to a scrog, except I can pull the pots out of the tent any time I need to.

Once each individual pot has a level canopy I use milk crates underneath to level all 4 canopies.

It makes for easy trimming.

It's kind of like that. No jittery shakes though. My better half is liking it for that and so am I!

Oh hey! I was at Skunk yesterday and The Rev has his new book at amazon for pre order for a Jan 8 or 9 time!

Nice! Next grow I'm trying something like that! A well trimmed flowering, as I like to call a Shedding, has been a real boon! Mr InTheShed has me on board his no larf train! This will be another step in that direction!

South African sativas are the best in my books, I don't enjoy the jitters.

Awesome! I can't wait to see what he has in store.

Yeah larf sucks. The worms enjoy it though🤣

Durban Poison - Day 48 of Flower.

Two days in a row with no fallen leaves, so thats a good thing. I didn't get the tea in yet, but it's ready to go. Hopefully I'm about to get ahead a bit and get a good run to the finish line.

20231125_064533.jpg

The fan leaves are beaten down but the colas are doing great.

They are bulking fast, I need to start tying the tall plant's colas, they are starting to all flop outwards.

20231125_064512.jpg

The leaner pheno.

20231125_064501.jpg

The uber tough pheno that never burnt a tip.

20231125_064454.jpg

The worst tips.

20231125_064445.jpg

The runt cola.

The square topped buds of the tall pheno.

20231125_064425.jpg

Shorty. She stacked really nicely.

20231125_064417.jpg

Another leaner cola. Leaners aren't picture perfect, but they produce more.

20231125_064411.jpg

Another leaner shot.

Another one of Shorty's colas.

Family Photos.
20231125_064350.jpg

There is a lot of earthy, hashy, lemony smells in here with an essence of skunkiness. Just a touch.

Screenshot_20231125_075537_VPD Calculator.jpg

VPD has been steady for almost 2 weeks now. Mother Nature has been generous.

20231125_064337.jpg

20231125_064328.jpg

Manifolding. No dominance. Everyone is a dominant. Well except for the 2 runt colas.

20231124_162615.jpg

All the little colas in between are the few remaining side branches.

20231124_162458.jpg

Bulk and resin are coming on fast.

20231124_162439.jpg

Not bad for sativas. I'm glad the funkiness of this grow never got to the colas. It's exactly why I don't defoliate. It allows the plant to survive a deficiency. Hopefully we are good now. If not, I still have more leaves.

If I get an early finisher I should see it starting in 3 or 4 more days, if not, then they have 10 more days of bulking😎.

Do you think adding the minerals in a tea form accelerates their uptake at all, or are you still dealing with about a two week period for the microbes to break it down and deliver?

I would guess 10-14 days, however some of the ingredients, minerals included, will be broken down in the 1st 48 hours, so there will be some available sooner.

Basically all I'm hoping to accomplish is to be ahead of this deficiency and try to stay there.

No fallen leaves for 2 days means how I reacted around November 10th-ish is working now, so I hope I have caught it, now I want ahead.

But yes, its for the future more than now.

Day 18.

20231125_064646.jpg

LC-18. Still looking hungry but already greening up.

20231125_064636.jpg

RVDV. Same thing, greening back up.

20231125_064642.jpg

Iklwa is getting better too.

20231125_064651.jpg

And then there is Wild Lady. I'm suspecting 3 of the 4 didn't have the myco link, which is off the charts too high of odds to get 3 out of 4, so I'm going with some stoner only myco'd 1 pot when planting.

Either way, myco is in, so is fish water. The mulch is on, and they all got 1/2 cup of quarter strength EWC tea.

If it's myco then in about 48-72 more hours they should turn right around.

If I really need to I can hit them with a fish fert foliar, but lets wait and see what happens.

Durban Poison - Day 49 of Flower.

20231126_070934.jpg

The colas are fattening fast. The first 4 photo's are colas on the walls, so not as bulky as the center colas, the 5th and 6th pic's are the 2 runt colas, and the 7th is a mid tent cola.

20231126_070930.jpg

20231126_070922.jpg

The hairs are going red already on this pheno.

20231126_070916.jpg

Same pheno, different cola.

20231126_070859.jpg

Even this runt,

20231126_070849.jpg

and the other runt, are fattening fast.

20231126_070833.jpg

Mid tent cola.

20231126_070820.jpg

23 more days😊.

Adding the UV on a low level as per the recommendations, has definitely increased the area of trichome development. I have trichs way out on the fan leaves.

As for the density of trichs on the flowers themselves, they are fairly heavy, but not any more so than my previous light grew them.

The next 3 weeks is all about resin though, so lets see how it plays out.

Most importantly though.... 3 days with no leaf drop😊.

23 days. Do you harvest to the day or is that when you start scoping? aaaand, OMG buds

23 days. Do you harvest to the day or is that when you start scoping? aaaand, OMG buds
I scope the buds most definitely, but usually Day 72 is the main harvest day.

Even early finishers seem to start finishing earlier than the rest, but finish slower on a day to day basis and end up getting finishing and getting harvested at Day 72 from flip. That gives me about 25% amber and 10% clear- ish.

When I grow an unfamiliar strain I watch the trichs like a hawk, but I have grown this Durban strain for many years and know it pretty well now.
