Damn what a canopy, that’s gorgeous. Leaf yoga. Lol. Also - my understanding was that once flower starts it’s past cuttings time. No?
For me it is, but Im delarfing today so I had lots of cuttings available if I wanted lol.

There were a lot of great clones in there.

It's doable but better if you grab one from veg I think.

34 that never made it. There will still be a few more.

You can't really tell.

It's still a bit branchy in there in spots.

You can still see a few that will get plucked.

Every time you take off a branch that cola will stretch a bit faster so if you have a shorter cola, prune it one node higher and in a few days it will be better, or at least not buried.

Pretty soon I will be delarfing the remaining branches, not the mains.

The lowest 2 buds come off each side branch if I can get them. The sooner the better.

Still a week of stretch, pretty soon I may have to position colas from above with overhead ties.

25" from the light now so they have grown 11 inches in the first 14 days of flip.

I have only had mediocre luck at best doing this, but revegging the whole plant after harvest and then cutting a clone works good.
I'm trying clones now at end of third week of flower. Don't need nor want them and they'll go to the worm bin either way, but I want to see if I can get them to root.

@Gidorah , here is the sugar rose kush.
@Gidorah I just looked my order up. 11 Roses is what this was called. I couldn't remember for sure if it was Sugar Black, or 11.

You're gonna love it😊.

It may have 11 colors lol. Including green, I saw 8.

Yellow, orange, green, red, purple pink, maroon, and brown. All on the same plant. The brown is really cool. Its like a mix of coffee and hot chocolate. Brown leaves that are perfectly healthy are very trippy. The leaves are very velvety to the touch too.

Big yielder, very big. I can't remember the weight now but it was big, and hardly any leaf to trim. Tons of sugar.

It cured to an almost grey color. It smells really strong of "Old Ladies Gagya Perfume". If it's in your pocket, people know when you walk into the room😎.

I grew 4 without a single problem. They are tall for Indicas. 5 feet easy indoors.

Day 15 of Flower.

20231023_061847.jpg

The front right plant and the back left plant are shorter phenos. Today they will get a 3 inch riser under each.

The tall lanky one in the back right is at 1135 PPFD and the rest are less so I need to raise the 2 shorties and then turn the light down a little bit.

UV is 30 minutes at mid light cycle.

20231023_061851.jpg

Front right shorty with the tall pheno behind it.

20231023_061858.jpg

Back left shorty.

20231023_061840.jpg

Front left. The beast. It's going to yield a lot. Its the most vibrant green of all 4 plants.

3 distinct phenos in this grow.

VPD is pretty dialed now, daytime highs are 83, nightime lows of 72. Humidity is 54.

Webcam view. I'm going to have to raise it soon. You can see the 2 shorties on the left and right sides. Gotta get them up.

The colas are all strapped to wires running like a tic-tac-toe board just above pot level. Its more work than it looks😪.

But once it's done, its flower time😊❤️.

You know.... Unless I have to raise them again.....🤣

Hi @Gee64 - I have a lab question.

Your trick to develop the upper feeder roots by covering the soil with mulch…. Is that simply to block light? Could I accomplish the same thing by covering my soil in the two pots with black cloth pots? I could easily block the light completely? Or is the mulch what makes it work cuz it’s mulch?

Thanks!

Its to block light to bring the feeder roots up, but I add layers of ewc and minerals and then more mulch and let it keep getting eaten.

You could totally use cloth though, and peel it back to top dress. Just dont seal the air off.

Mulch is easier to dump fish water over once a week, things like that. And I use drippers that I spike down to the soil so mulch is easier there too. But cloth will work well. As long as it breathes.

Why not just top dress onto the mulch and water in. That cloth will keep fine particles in the bottom of the mulch until they dissolve. Only the 'tea' makes it down on each watering and subsequent watering.
Tweak and repeat .
Fabric isn't going to keep the microbes down so, they will likely congregate where the richest concentration of food is.
Just a thought.

Yeah you could totally do this. Anything to make it dark to increase your rootball size by 10 percent or so right at stretch.

As soon as its dark myco moves in and roots follow. By the time the grow is done you have feeder roots right to the surface.

They bite into the nuggets of bark mulch.

Oh wow, you got me all excited now! Their description pales in comparison to yours, they should pay you to sell their seeds. Look forward to starting them on Nov 3. Will keep you all updated. Got a couple more days of trimming before i can even think of starting something else.
